The space
The room, sunny and welcoming. The exterior door opens out onto a little sunny alcove just for you to sip your coffee or have your breakfast in private.This room looks out onto the front of the house and is warm and tidy.
The shared communal lounge is spacious welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen is fully functional should you wish to cook. There is a laundry should you wish to do your washing and the clothes line is out the back. The toilet and bathroom is shared if there are other guests staying.
X2 bicycles for guest use free of charge.
We offer secure motorbike and bicycle lockup.

Guest access
Guests have their own entrance to come and go from. Each room is lockable. Windows have security locks. The entire area for guests is separate from the hosts area which is upstairs.

During your stay
We are upstairs in a separate living area and are usually available to assist and welcome you and orientate you to Blenheim. We respect your privacy. Blenheim is a beautiful natural climate and we enjoy sharing it with visitors.

Other things to note
The large garden area out the back is secure and quiet. There is a large table or sway away swing should you wish to spend a quiet afternoon.
We garden organically and we pride ourselves that we try hard to be environmentally responsible.

A walkway and cycle way is literally over the back fence.

There is a table for the use of computers ect in the lounge separate from the dining table should you wish. Unlimited broadband. There is a small library in the corner of the lounge also.
Millie the Labrador lives out the back or upstairs with us. She is very friendly.

The space
The property is located in a quiet neighbourhood. The garden is pleasant with sun chairs and a sway away swing to relax in. Or escape the sun by taking refuge in the shade of the trees.
Each room can be individually locked. The breakfast, is self serve. We garden organically and try to live in an environmentally friendly way.
Guests have their own private entrance with a drop box at the door.
The back yard is fenced off and safe for children. There is a laundry available on site. The accommodation is clean and tidy. The house is built in the 1960's. The kitchen and laundry is available for use of guests.
Two bicycles, helmets and locks, available for guests use. Whether you wish to cycle to the downtown, a 10 minute cycle away, or enjoy the various cycle trails.
We also offer secure lockup for motorbikes and bicycles.
The toilet and shower are shared with other guests if there are others staying.

Guest access
Guests can come and go via their own access. Each room is lockable. This downstairs area is totally self contained and separate from hosts living space. Parking on the street is secure and accessible.
There is a Dropbox for entry should we not be around at your time of arrival.

During your stay
We are available upstairs 24 hours as we live upstairs . We try to be unobtrusive but helpful and available should you wish anything or need any assistance.

Other things to note
We have a peaceful organic garden out the back with swings and chairs and trees to shelter from the sun, including fruit trees. There is a freezer available should you require one.

Millie the Labrador lives out the back or upstairs. She is friendly. We provide is a small library in the lounge which you are welcome to make use of.

This room has a comfortable, Queen sized bed.. a double wardrobe and space to park your suitcase.
The room was recently re carpeted as were most of the other bedrooms.
The view looks out onto a secluded quiet private garden. Parks are close by for walking or biking. Buses and Supermarket also close by. CBD a 5 mins ride away. Beautiful park like setting in pretty, well established neighbourhood.

The space

We run an organic garden and are environmentally conscious. There is fresh fruit from the fruit trees in season. Our grapes are the best!
There are tables and chairs in the garden to relax in, and a sway away swing.
There are two bicycles should you wish to use them. Both come with locks and helmets. The farm park which is directly behind the house, is part of a cycleway, that links to town, where the good coffee is.

The house is soundly built 1960's vintage.
The lounge is homely and welcoming and recently painted and redecorated. There is a small library in the lounge.
There is a laundry should you require.
Bathroom and toilets are shared should we have other guests staying.

Guest access
Guest have full use of a cosy lounge and adjoining kitchen areas. Kitchen is compact and well equipt. Laundry on site. Guests have separate access via downstairs entrance. There is a
dropbox at back door, which is the guest entrance should we be out when you arrive. All bedrooms are able to be locked for your security if you go out. The entire area available is separate to the hosts area. We live upstairs and are in a seperate part of the house. We try to be unobtrusive but helpful.
The bathroom and toilet area is shared if there are other guests staying.
There is a friendly pet Labrador dog on the premises, Millie is her name.

During your stay
We are usually around when you arrive to show you your space and to orientate you and settle you in. We respect your privacy.

Other things to note
This room and the accompanying other two rooms can sleep up to 5 people. The entire area is available for rental at a special rate of $180 per night.
There is a laundry available on site and a clothes line in the back yard. We aim for comfortable, casual and relaxing.
We have a Labrador named Millie. She does not come downstairs usually. She is either outside or upstairs with us. We ask that you don't feed her.
There is usually a bee hive in the corner of the section and our garden is organic and productive with vegetables and fruit in season. We pride ourselves on being environmentally responsible. The kitchen has recycle and compost bins.


The Wither hills farm park is directly behind. Here you can roam at your leisure, taking in the expansive views from the hills, or run or cycle along the cycle way.
We offer secure lockup for motorbike and bicycle.
