A tv is in your room for your entertainment but no wifi. I worked in Milford Sound for 4.5 years and any questions on this amazing place please ask.

This peaceful, self contained cabin is surrounded by a sheltered backyard. It`s the most amazing feeling to open the window as you wake up, and hear the birds in the large Fiordland Beech tree while the sun streams past the curtains.

The space
This is a great example of the older kiwi holiday house. It`s missing paint in a few places, has a few rough edges, but posses a wonderful atmosphere. If you`re not looking for 5 star, but would like to relax in a private green backyard with established trees you`ll love this.

Guest access
You can walk freely anywhere on the property, and have your self contained cabin to yourselves. You have the back yard to yourselves, and the laundry is next to your cabin, so you can use this anytime you’d like. If there are towels and sheets in the machines they'll be from cleaning your cabin earlier, so you're most welcome to remove them when they're finished so you can use the laundry yourselves.

I'm mindful that the sink in the cabin is not the easiest to use, so you're most welcome to use the sink in the laundry for washing your dishes too.

I do have a shed on the other side of the back yard that I use for projects occasionally, so you may see me come and go from this space, but I'm very respectful of making sure you have your privacy.

Cosy studio apartment attached to a farm building on a sheep and beef farm. Outstanding panoramic views of Fiordland and nearby Upukerora River. Suitable for two guests. Fully equipped kitchen plus bbq area for cooking a meal to enjoy with the view! Basic cooking and some breakfast supplies provided (no bread). Ensuite bathroom (shower, no bath). Heated floor tiles, carpet and a wood fire (not Jan/Feb) keep things cosy on cool days. You will need a car; it is a 15 min drive into nearby Te Anau.

The space
The unit is a studio apartment (ie open plan lounge/kitchen/sleeping area. Bathroom separate). The space Is comfortable, but compact, so if you need lots of room this may be too small for you.

Bed configuration is a queen bed and a double sofa bed.

The kitchen area has full size cooktop, oven and fridge. There is also an outside covered verandah, picnic table and bbq.
Some breakfast items will be provided for you to utilise as you wish and some basic cooking ingredients are also available.

We can arrange access to a washing machine and dryer in the building.

Please note: there is no TV.

We are a little off the beaten track, but well worth the effort to get here!

We run a sheep and beef farm, and the unit is sited in a paddock overlooking the farm. The surrounds are a little rustic at present as we develop the site; it does mean you may well see stock grazing nearby! Depending on our farming commitments at the time we would love to show you around or take you to meet some of our pets. Just ask.

Guest access
The Upukerora river is within walking distance of the unit, through our property. Ask for directions if you are interested in exploring or fishing. The Whitestone river is also close by and we can direct you to fisherman's access points. At certain times of the year you may be welcome to walk through other areas of the property, but please ask first.

Other things to note
The studio is attached to a farm building which is primarily used for storage. Please respect this as a private area that is not for guest use without prior arrangement.

Many of our guests comment that they wish they’d factored in an extra night to really enjoy the location. This is a one of a kind spot that you may never experience again so perhaps take a rest day here so you can just relax and enjoy the view or see some of the less well known charms of the Te Anau area!

The cottage is situated near the main house which is surrounded by farmland and gardens. Friendly sheep can be easily observed and hand fed. There are friendly chickens and also a couple of pet pigs

My place is a large house in the town centre where all the restaurants and shops are and is only 150-200 metres from the lakefront. Guests enter via our front door but are downstairs in our B&B space. Miro Street is surrounded by cafe's, pubs, pizzerias, shops, Gelato, the Cinema and supermarkets. Buses to Milford Sound etc. leave from our street.
