- "Great host and property." - "This property is new, the setting was beautiful and the views stunning. Views across the hills and paddocks, watching the sunset and rise across the valley and cows doing there thing. It was extremely private and very peaceful. The accommodation is unique and very well setup for a relaxing/romantic stay. The glamping tent is a good size, plenty of room with a big bed, ( very comfortable) sitting area and has everything you'd need. The double shower next to the sleeping area is next level, well appointed, private but open to the countryside. There is good cooking facilities (gas camping cooktop) and pots/pans plus a big frying oan to cook more substancial food on the firepit. We loved sitting on the deck in front of the tent having a wine watching the world go by and migrated to the fire pit in the evening. The host Melinda met us and walked through how it all works. A nice touch was the nice bottle of champagne, cheese & biscuits. Hosts have been very thoughtful with finishes and nice touches. We loved it and hope to come back. "

Your tent is run on a small solar system that runs the lights, fridge and charging points. We also provide both lighting and USBc cables for charging phones, cameras and laptops.

What's included.

Numie has everything you need out at the tents. Hot water showers and towels, composting loo and toilet paper, super comfy mattress with soft linen and blankets. Private bbq with cooking utensils, olive oil, salt & pepper, teas, coffee, stove top kettle. We also have got you covered with super long forks for roasting up marshmallows, also included. Each tent has a decent size fridge so you're able to keep your tucker fresh.

Tents.

We have partnered with Homecamp as they believe the quality of their tents is the best on the market. Super strong standing up to 80kph winds, fully enclosed mosquito netting to keep the bugs out and fully waterproof. Plus heaps of vents and zip windows to keep you cool.

Warmth / Cool.

Each tent comes fitting with a winnerwell wood burner and we provide you with super dry wood. So warm, snug and ambience are all provided. Additionally, during the winter months, each tent has RV-style heaters just in case you're not confident with the wood burner. Your tent has many zipper vents plus the front door to keep your tent cool with netting to keep the bugs out.

The Property.

Initially purchased by the Tasmanian Land Conservancy for its high environmental values. The property borders pelican bay which provides refuse for a range of shore birds as well as hosting the threatened black gum woodland and forest, and the endangered golden spray.

Local Wildlife.

Staying at numie means sharing the space with a number of animals including, Wombats, Sugar Gliders, Possums & Wallabies.

Freycinet National Park.

Often referred to as the jewel of Tasmanians coastline. It has a magic that pulls people from around the world. From the stunning beauty of Wineglass Bay, crystal-clear waters, towering granite mountains of the Hazards to sheltered turquoise bays this place is truly breathtaking.

Food & Drink.

Next door is the marine farm offering fresh local seafood.

Coles Bay is a 5min drive offering a number of options - cafes, tavern, IGA, woodier pizza and a few restaurants and bars.

Local wineries include - Devils corner and Freycinet Vineyards.

Access your tent on foot, grab a trolly (one per tent) sling your luggage in and spray the underneath of your shoes with the spray bottle provided. The spray will kill off any fungi and bacteria that could contaminate the bush. Help us protect this amazing ecosystem and clean your shoes every trip!

Head down the path next to the water tanks your tent will be named either; Wattle, White Gum or Tea Tree.

Tasmania can easily throw up every season in one day from rain, heat. winds, cold and even snow. It’s best to be prepared for them all, breakfast outdoors with shorts and a T-shirt could be followed by lunch in winter woollies and rain jackets. Tasmanian is unapologetically beautifully raw and numie offers each of its guests a chance to fully immerse themselves in it.

With four deluxe bell tents adorned with quality bedding, lighting, charging ports and remote controlled instant heating for up to 8 people, enjoy exclusive use of the area for yourself, you and a friend, or a small group.

Unlimited firewood for cabin heater and fire pit

Four bell tents are available and a charming cabin that can sleep up to 3 people. Each of the four tents can sleep two people (three tents have a full size queen bed, and one has two single beds).

A cabin with full kitchen, indoor dining, wood fire and pantry is provided.

Sit around the fire pit, cooking dinner and toasting marshmallows. Take in the serenity and enjoy being in the heart of the delightful Bruny Island.

You will enjoy full, private and exclusive use of the campsite, including the tents and cabin.
