- "Went for 3 nights with the kids and a friend of mine. We had an awesome time. The place itself was cozy and had lots of character. There was a little fishing hole in the floor inside that we caught two fish in! Pearl was an awesome host, showing us how to get fishing bait and ensuring our stay was an enjoyable one. There’s no tv but there are some really fun board games provided with the stay and we made some great memories playing them all together. The view was also great, the sunset is so beautiful by the ocean. On the first morning I was able to see a seal visiting on the deck by us! So cool. Overall our stay was very nice, and pearl was a great host. If you want to adjust or add anything feel free"

- "Very convenient to everything." - "We loved the area was a good location waking distance from the harbor, restaurants. Nice clean fully loaded condo with everything you needed. We loved that we had under ground parking for guests. We rent again" - "Due to medical reasons I had to stay in Victoria for 6 weeks. I live elsewhere on vancouver island. This condo offered me proximity to all the essential services that I required. The managers , Melissa and Rob, were truely gems. They took time to get to know me and my situation. The condo was clean, quiet and came with all the amenities one needed. Parking was easily assessable and extra parking was available very close by. The bonus was that pets are allowed. This was a very pet friendly building with amble parks close by to exercise your dog and yourself. I would highly recommend this condo or any other place that is managed by Melissa and Rob. Thanks for making me feel as comfortable as I could during a very trying time I’m my life."

Nature is your panoramic view! You may find that your perfect holiday is here within walking distance from your safari tent, situated on a 900sqft fenced deck. Your private path to the nature trail takes you to an undisturbed beach, eagles and herons at the shoreline, seals bobbing, anglers fishing salt and fresh waters, the Oyster River and estuary, distillery farm fields, forest with old-growth, a variety of bird species, deer and field rabbits grazing (and even Humpback and Orcas have been sited close from beach this year). The area is like no other...Many nature lovers enjoy it here for the diversity of wildlife from the ocean, coast, forest edge and marshland all within walking distance. You're in the thick of it! And still only a short drive into Campbell River.
There is no compromise. The Glamping Beachcomber is close enough to everything you’re coming here for, yet miles away from anything familiar. A 15min drive to the city for more hiking and biking trails, wildlife tours, Quadra Island ferry, museum, restaurants, shopping, many activities, and swimming spots. Many of our visitors come to visit Strathcona Park, the oldest provincial park in BC. Having the choice to dine at the waterfront restaurant a few min walk down the beach, or al fresco on your own outdoor kitchen supplied with all the tools, makes for a unique vacation experience. This is a unique combination of rustic bliss and home comforts
Your large Safari Tent sits on a 900 sq’ wrap around fenced deck and is extensively furnished inside and out. In addition to the comfortable queen bed, 2 mattress & cots are available to put inside the tent at bedtime, or to use under a 10’x10’ canopy with detachable wall, or under the stars! From the deck you’ll catch the sun rising just after it hits the horizon, and enjoy watching it set over the trees in our field. The glamping site is in a safe place, with a private home nearby, but barely visible from your deck through some trees.
ALL WITHIN 10 min - A semblance of civilization isn't far! Tastings and tours at the distillery, or the essentials for groceries, liquor store, specialty coffees, pizza and medical clinic, are just beyond the nature trail, or a 2 min drive from your glamping site. Salmon Point boat launch is at the marina across the road.
Sandy Saratoga Beach on the other side of the River, Mini-golf, 9-hole golf, Miracle Beach Provincial Park, Saratoga Speedway, bottom of Mt Washington
20min - North to Campbell River or. South 20 min to Courtenay.
The Glamping Beachcomber is adjacent to the Salish Sea, and welcomes you to its driftwood covered shores for a campfire, swim, flyfishing, beachcombing or merely a spot to relax and think about the day.
- "Loved glamping on this property! Everything was provided for us, all the little details were amazing! Would definitely return ❤️" - "My family stayed at the safari beachcomber tent for 3 nights and we really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful environment, short trails to the ocean, and the firepit on the enclosed patio (which was brilliant for our small dog). The tent had everything we needed like a comfy bed, towels, utensils, bbq, stove, and warm shower!!! Mishel was very informative and helped us with our needs. Very convenient location, close to a restaurant, stores, coffee shop, and beautiful beaches. I highly recommend Mishel and her safari tent to anyone! to the ocean"

- "By far the most unique rental we've ever booked and Bernadette is just the most lovely soul! She accomodated a very last minute much needed couples getaway. Really unique quite little spot and watching the animals was so fun. All the comforts of home, hot running water, flush toilet, kitchenette and eating area with a really cool view. The place was also really well equiped, we didnt cook but you easily could. The place was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy! Location might be abit remote for some but it was just far enough off the beaten track for us, 10 min to Ladysmith, 15 min to Naniamo, so pretty easy access. There are other campsites on the property but enough space that it still feels retry private. Bernadette even introduced us to her son and the farm animals, really neat spot!"

- "What a beautiful glamping set up! The tent was fantastic, as clean as can be and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The dining tent set up was amazing. Our site was private and we really enjoyed the peace. There was a really nice barn area with tables and chairs and it was a nice place to lounge. The outdoor showers were great. Our site did not have a structure around the toilet, I believe it was the only outhouse on the grounds with no “house”. That part we didn’t love. Otherwise we would absolutely come back!"
