There was a little fishing hole in the floor inside that we caught two fish in! Pearl was an awesome host, showing us how to get fishing bait and ensuring our stay was an enjoyable one. This condo offered me proximity to all the essential services that I required. The managers , Melissa and Rob, were truely gems. They took time to get to know me and my situation. The condo was clean, quiet and came with all the amenities one needed. Parking was easily assessable and extra parking was available very close by. The bonus was that pets are allowed. This was a very pet friendly building with amble parks close by to exercise your dog and yourself. I would highly recommend this condo or any other place that is managed by Melissa and Rob. Thanks for making me feel as comfortable as I could during a very trying time I’m my life."

Your large Safari Tent sits on a 900 sq’ wrap around fenced deck and is extensively furnished inside and out. In addition to the comfortable queen bed, 2 mattress & cots are available to put inside the tent at bedtime, or to use under a 10’x10’ canopy with detachable wall, or under the stars! From the deck you’ll catch the sun rising just after it hits the horizon, and enjoy watching it set over the trees in our field. The glamping site is in a safe place, with a private home nearby, but barely visible from your deck through some trees.

The owners and property manager were very helpful with pre-arrival planning. This vacation offered all that I was seeking. When making your plans, please note that basic supplies are provided by the owner. Once you’re settled, food and liquor are just a couple blocks away. This cozy tent includes a queen-sized four poster bed, bedding, hardwood floors and a night stand. Prospector is our only dog friendly tent. Please keep dogs on-leash and add the Prospector pet cleaning fee to your booking. An additional trifold single mattress for a child is in the tent. Bedding for single bed must be brought by the renters. All sites come with their own propane fireplace, kitchen tent with cookstove and private outhouse. There is a shared outdoor showers, outhouse and communal space at the big barn, with sink, bbq and comfy couches. Charge your device and log on to wifi! No refunds will be given if you cancel less than 30 days prior to your arrival date. A 50% refund will be provided if we receive your cancellation request within 60 days of your arrival date. A full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee will be provided if we receive your cancellation request in writing more than 60 days prior to your arrival date. - "you can compare it to camping..or glamping. the lake is small and no fish live in it.so not really suitable for swimming. nice and easy for SUPs. comfortably sleeps 4, 2 people on futons. We asked for extra blankets and were provided with them. the sauna is really nice overlooking the green space through a glass window. The host really cares about the environment. My 20 yr old son was a bit bored. "

- "What a beautiful glamping set up! The tent was fantastic, as clean as can be and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The dining tent set up was amazing. Our site was private and we really enjoyed the peace. There was a really nice barn area with tables and chairs and it was a nice place to lounge. The outdoor showers were great. Our site did not have a structure around the toilet, I believe it was the only outhouse on the grounds with no “house”. That part we didn’t love. Otherwise we would absolutely come back!"

Step aboard our meticulously restored 1924 seine boat, moored in the picturesque Paradise Marina of Cowichan Bay. A cabin adventure on the water!
Cruise along the 30kms of Lake Cowichan. Every location is your location of choice including staying at the dock if you choose, fish, paddle board, swim, right from the deck of your ever changing waterfront paradise. Beach your vessel @ night for nightly sunsets. Surrounded by pristine mountains Cowichan Lake is a jewel of Vancouver Island. A truly unique experience.Don't be intimidated, an orientation is provided prior to departure. You've got this!

Pick a new view of pristine Lake Cowichan and its breath taking beauty everyday as you float along in your fully equipped cabin on the water.

If you decide to stay at the marine you will have full shore power for lights, fridge, freezer and hot water.

Once you are underway these amenities switch to propane and continue to provide you with the comforts of home.

What ever floats your cabin's lower level has a full kitchen, indoor bathroom and outdoor shower. There is a queen pull out couch and the kitchen table folds down to sleep 2 smaller people.

Barbecue the fresh fish catch of the day on the cabins front porch.

2 paddle boards are provided.

After swimming in the turquoise waters of Cowichan Lake, sun yourself on the upper deck or sit and read a book under the shade arbour.

Beaching the cabin at night allows for a campfire while the sun sets in hews of red, orange and yellow.

This is your private cabin. Once you leave the marina you are alone to create a holiday adventure. The lake is your daily oyster and the beach is your evening perch. **Boats must be beached 2 hours prior to sunset. A the beach enjoy an evening swim, paddle board (2 paddle boards provided) or have a campfire with a portable propane fire pit that is also provided.

If you're thinking of using the cabin as an accommodation and not leaving the dock you may want to explore some of the local vibe.

The village of Lake Cowichan, is a hidden gem. Located on the east end of Lake Cowichan just west of Duncan. A quaint coffee shop, waterfront dinning at Jakes on the lake, J and V's burger, fishing, parks, beaches, swimming and hiking are just a few reasons to spend some time here. Half moon bay Saturday market, local artisans, pastries, produce and more. Visit Kaatza Station Museum for a little history tour.

You may choose to stay docked in the marina during your adventure and swim from the boat, Sun yourself and read a book on the upper deck, B.B.Q and or prepare meals on board or take day drips from this locations.

If you will be spending your days on the water or pulled up on one of the many beaches along the shores of Cowichan Lake then you will need all your food and water provisions to be on board.

On a 7 day journey you will need to come back to the marina to empty the septic and refill fuel on average during day 4.

If you ever desire to swim in Tribune Bay off Hornby Island and visit the village on Hornby or checkout Desolation Sound or visit Chatterbox Falls, the Broughton Archipelago cruising in a comfortable and beautiful classic wooden yacht, here is your chance. Minimum 2 day trips schedule is flexible as are locations to suit your schedule, what you would like to go see/visit and the weather. This is a classic wooden yacht beautifully cared for, so your stay is cruising within the protected waters of the Salish Sea, anchored in sheltered bays with access to beaches and shore via RIB and kayaks.

The price includes the boat with captain, access/use of a 5-person RIB skiff, use of 3 kayaks, and all the fuel used in cruising and the boat comes with Starlink and the price includes use of Starlink. You bring the food and drink you want and you can prepare it or for a catered trip contact me if you want me to supply and make meals and we can negotiate a price for this. There is an apartment-sized fridge/freezer.

There is a coffee grinder, espresso machine, microwave oven, 3 burner stove and oven, toaster, all the kitchen essentials. There is a smart TV with DVD (with DVDs), but with the addition of Starlink, streaming services on your device are also available.

There is only a single washroom that we would all share, it has a shower to have a quick rinse off, this is a listing for an old wood yacht to go cruising the Salish Sea not a luxury yacht but you won't find a more beautiful classic yacht to go cruise the coast of BC to some fantastic destinations.

Note the stern stateroom has a large queen bed, and 2 twins can be accommodated on the sides where there are benches for seating (the benches cover where the exhaust pipes from the engines run out the back of the boat). So normally, it is just a queen bed, but if you have others that room can fit in two twins on the sides, it would be a bit tight but is doable. I would need to know ahead of time to organize the two side beds.

There are closets in both bedrooms to keep your things organized.

The boat has a large front deck and a very comfortable large covered back deck suitable for 12 people (event like a wedding), swim deck and kayaks. There is a 5 person RIB skiff and all the life jackets and safety devices common for a boat, dual VHF radios, chart plotter, and radar. etc.

Dual Perkins M135 engines push this cruiser at about 7.5 knots. Up to 8 Hrs of Cruising Time per day is allocated, which equates to a range of about 110km per day.

If you are interested in the history of the boat, the previous owner had put a story board together as he did a lot of restoration work on it before we purchased it. I've posted pictures in the ad. We have another suite on the property, there is enough parking for everybody and we do not have specific "assigned" parking, so don't worry. Park where you like.

To get to the ocean, simply go to the back gate and you will end up on the beach on Mill Bay. This is one of Canada's treasures, so enjoy!
