We invite you to relax and enjoy our beautiful, peaceful retreat nestled in five private acres on South Pender Island. The property is sunny and warm with ocean glimpses from the cottage, deck and bathtub. The open concept cottage includes a spacious full height sleeping loft, fully outfitted kitchen with granite counter tops, bathroom with walk-in shower, and outdoor bathtub. The eclectic furniture consists of an antique industrial table and stools, modern sofa and ottomans, and a comfortable queen bed. The cottage, completed in 2013, is close to hiking trails, beaches, Poet's Cove Resort and Port Browning Marina. We try to reduce our environmental footprint through the use of environmentally friendly cleaning and bath products. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or the bed. Completion of construction on Canal Road is due to commence March 2023 and hopefully be completed by June. It is unclear at this time whether there will be road closures associated with the 2025 construction.

The Creekside Cottage is a newly renovated, modern two-story vacation home situated on a park-like, six-acre oceanfront property known as the Seaward Estate. Historically, Seaward was one of five salmon trap sites along the Juan de Fuca Strait until the 1950s.

You will find total privacy and peace here. Separate entrance, with a gate around the side that takes you to the garden and onto the beach access staircase. You are welcome to enjoy strolling and hanging out on the entire east side of the property (roughly 2 acres to yourself) as we spend majority of our time on the west side of the property. There is another suite attached to our home as well as this one, but with strategic landscaping and soundproofing you will find peacefulness and privacy here. You can also walk down our road only 15 minutes all the way to the west side of the island point, where you can view the sunset, which is a beautiful nature walk, passing only the odd farmhouse and cabin, very quiet and peaceful. Having a vehicle is a huge plus as you can then easily explore that rest of the island with all the beautiful nature trails and parks it has to offer. Having bicycles would also be a nice way to get around. This part of the island is extremely peaceful and unpopulated, yet only a 7 minute drive from the ferry and shops/restaurants. You will truly be able to connect with nature during a stay at our cottage. Your view will be unique in that you see historic Chrome Island from this side, as well as a view of the provincial park, and straight down Baynes sound with absolutely no obstacles. The sun rises directly out of the ocean in winter months, a view you can see right from your bedroom or for an even more special experience, right from the beach. Eagles' nests are right above you, watch them hunt for fish and fly overhead all day long. In fall, a salmon stream is just down the beach for you to watch them spawn, seals and sea lions are present year round, as well as porpoises, and if your are lucky, you may even sea some whales swim by. Deer walk past your cottage regularly, and birds of all kinds are all around. Potters, fibre artists, jewelry artisans and glass artists dot the island and welcome your visits. We are also on a 3 minute drive form the organic winery. Also, our cottage is a 5 min drive or 15 min bike ride to the Hornby Island Ferry so you can explore Hornby Island as well for day trips. - "Elsie and her Nature's Loft was the PERFECT place to stay! I was thoroughly impressed! The loft was spotless! Elsie attention to detail with cleaning and set up was amazing. (The champagne and chocolate was a nice touch). The loft is well equipped and lacked nothing. We showed up with groceries in hand and Elsie met us at the gate and left us up to our loft. It was adorable, private and perfect! The location is noted to be on a highway (as described) and it's not feasible to walk anywhere. That said, it's a very short drive to Coombs, Qualicum Beach and Parksville. Shop owners are all super helpful if you are looking for anything specific and some will animatedly tell you the best places to find anything you're looking for! After our short stay, I honestly can't wait to come back! I'd highly recommend Nature's Loft to anyone looking for an adorable, well equipped, super clean and centrally located spot to call home on Vancouver Island. ❤️"

The Haidaway cottage at Gold Coast Retreat has an ideal location, just across from the beach path to famous Chesterman Beach with two kilometers of open surf and sand and 6 km. from the village of Tofino. We offer total privacy in a tranquil setting on a warm south facing property, just one minute walk to the beach.

We accept only one friendly and small non-shedding dog, at a one time 50 dollars pet fee. We do not accept pets in July and August.

The Haidaway has two bedrooms, the downstairs has a queen size bed.

There is a double upstairs through a steep stairway which is not suitable for very young children or a person with mobility issues.

The Salty Mermaid is a 600sq foot, private fully air-conditioned and playfully decorated ocean themed cottage with a 200sq foot Lanai front deck plus garden. Everything you need to cook, relax or work (if you can take your eyes off the views!) is provided. Furnishings, decor and appliances are new. A sandy beach is steps off the driveway. Paddle boards available on request. Guests are welcome to entertain friends on the expansive deck and lawn space with BBQ and propane firepit. Blackout curtains in the Queen bedroom ensure a restful sleep, and laundry facilities are in the unit. Queen Murphy bed in living room (to accommodate from 2-4 guests). The cottage sits on a 13 acre property with trails, and orchard/garden, and a pond on the property for you to explore. The bedroom (king sized bed) opens into a sitting room which can also serve as a second bedroom with a fold down sofa bed. The king bed converts to two twin beds making the cottage comfortable for three friends or a couple with children.
The cottage is one level (upper) and parking is on the same elevation making this cottage accessible for those with limited mobility (two steps from ground level to apartment); in addition there is a walk in shower (no tub). The lower level seen in photos is for owners storage and does not access the guest area. An outdoor fire is permissible when dry season fire bans are not in place.

One of the last original Shawnigan Lake cottages in the Shawnigan Lake area! This 100 year old plus 720 sq ft cabin has 2 bedrooms (sleeps 1 - 5 max), that sits on private lot surrounded by stately tall trees nestled at the base of Mt Baldy with incredible views of Shawnigan Lake. It had housed E. J. Hugh's parents while they were care takers for the impressive Shawnigan Lake Lodge. Just a stones throw to the lake and the dock which is shared with the cabin directly in front of this property.

Host Rental Agreement:

• Rates are based on maximum occupancy; and vary by season and length of stay.
• Strathcona Cottage Max. occupancy of 5 people including children. All units are privately owned.
• Pets are NOT permitted. Smoking is NOT permitted inside the cottages.
• Guests shall not incur damage to Owner’s property. If damage should occur, the owner has right to seek compensation for damages.
• Water and Septic: The Lake House cottages is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog if improper materials are flushed into it. Do NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and have clogged the septic system, the renters will be charge the cost of fixing the system (including lost revenue while the cottage is out of commission). To assist our septic system, watch water consumption, take short showers, spread showers out thru out the day, use natural cleaning products (provided) and antibacterial soaps are NOT to be used.
• The guests will keep the property and all furnishing in good order. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
• The property must be left in the condition it was found upon checking in, this includes, putting all linens in pillowcases including towels, all dishes washed and put away, counters and stove wiped clean, BBQ cleaned, garbage and recycling taken to out door bins, locking all the windows and doors and putting down the shades before exiting etc. If not left in this order an additional $25 cleaning fee will be taken off damage deposit.

General Conditions
The Renter shall, at his expense, and throughout the period of the rental, keep the property in a state of cleanliness and in good conditions and repair. The Renter acknowledges that at commencement of the rental, the property is in good and substantial repair except for any defect The Renter may report to The Owner during the first day of the rental. The Renter shall leave the property in good repair, dishes washed, beds stripped and put into pillowcases, all garbage separated appropriately in sealed garbage bags and placed tidily in outside garbage cans.
Any unsafe or dangerous conditions must be reported to The Owner immediately. The Renter and his/her guests, acknowledges that the use of the property is entirely at the Renter’s risk. If you’re looking for a true West Coast experience this is the cabin for you! Our rustic little cabin sleeps four comfortably and is nestled in a private, heavily forested two acre property on the edge of a ravine just steps from the Pacific Ocean. It offers privacy and easy access to beaches, surfing and hiking trails. You will love listening to the sound of the waves and the running water in the creek as you nap in the hammock or lay in bed in the cozy loft.

The space
This cabin has been priced to reflect the fact that it is the only dwelling on the property. Guests will have the entire 2 acre property to themselves unlike many of the other listings in the neighbourhood where there are more than one dwelling on a small property.

This cabin can comfortably accommodate 4 people but there is room for another person to sleep on the couch if desired (additional charges per person apply).

The cabin is perfect for couples, small families (with children over 12 years of age) or close friends. The 2nd floor sleeping loft has two queen beds but there is simply a curtain separating the beds rather than a full wall. Be prepared to get cozy with your friends & family as it is close quarters!

The property is adjacent to an intermediate trail down to the beach – just a short 5 minute hike. You don't have to cross any roads to access the trail - it is right next to the property!

Guest access
The key to the cabin is in a lockbox and guests check themselves in. You will have access to the entire property. We recommend that you drive your car up to the cabin to unload your bags and then park your car down by the shipping container so that when you are sitting on the porch or looking out the windows of the cabin you can look at the beautiful tall trees, sunlight in the ravine and the birds frolicking about rather than looking at your car.

Other things to note
There is limited cell phone coverage in the Jordan River area, so we suggest that all guests have directions to the cabin with them. There is no wifi or internet connectivity at our cabin – it offers an authentic, rustic experience! Take advantage and totally unplug from city life so that you can immerse yourself in the beauty that the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island offers.

This cabin does not have full plumbing. There is a large, new outhouse for a toilet and there is an outdoor (covered) sink and shower. Having a hot shower outdoors is one of our favourite thing to do at the cabin. You must be comfortable with an outhouse in order to enjoy your stay at this cabin.
You must take your garbage with you but we are happy to process your clean recyclables for you (paper, cardboard, tin, clean plastic & glass).
There is electric heat in the cabin as well as a wood stove for heating. The cabin is quite small so it heats up very quickly!

Jordan River has very few amenities so we recommend that you pick up any needed supplies from Sooke as you are passing through. There are no gas stations or grocery stores in Jordan River. There is a small café called “Cold Shoulder Café” in Jordan River which offers excellent coffee and home baked goods. For a gourmet meal there is the restaurant at “Point No Point Resort” (about a 10 minute drive back towards Sooke) and then a little farther (about 15 minutes back towards Sooke) there is “Shirley Delicious Café” which offers a lively café environment.

Also please note that while our cabin and the property offers ample privacy we do still have neighbours and ask that you respect their quiet enjoyment and keep your music and other noise to a reasonable level. Parties are not tolerated. Thank you.

This cabin is rustic. As mentioned above, you must be comfortable using an outhouse. The main method of cooking is on a BBQ. If you have never camped before this probably is NOT the cabin for you. If you enjoy privacy and consider yourself an outdoorsy type you will love our cabin! Thank you!

Welcome to one of the most coveted locations on Quadra Island, BC. This Two bedroom Carriage House Apartment is a rambling stroll to the warm waters lake edge. It will be a majestic reprieve from the hustle of regular life. You will be situated overlooking the Village Bay lake enjoying the views and privacy from your own deck or fireside. This property is easily accessible by car. It is a sought after location for visitors. We have free kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and one double kayak.

The space
This two bedroom Apartment over looks the property and lake. It has all the amenities you will need to be comfortable. The upper deck has a gate to keep guests secure and the cozy home is complete with wood stove and two easy chairs beside the full kitchen overlooking the property nestled in Woods. There is a queen bed in one bedroom. The second room has a bunk bed with two single mattresses and a small desk. The bathroom is equipped with full tub and shower. The patio has seating furniture for 4 and a small barbecue.

The Lakeside Carriage House shares a property with the owners home. The two buildings are separate and have a layout that lends each dwelling to ample privacy. The Apartment is located high on top of the garage and has its own private deck and entrance. The garage has a bathroom separate from the Carriage House. This is a shared space with the owners and Treehouse Guests. This is also the location of the washer and dryer. The Lakeside Carriage House bathroom is for your private use. You have free access to paddle boards, kayaks and canoes, shared with owners and guests as well.

Other things to note
There is No cell service once you leave Quathiaski Cove and head up island to Village Bay Lake Bold Point Road.

It is recommended that you bring food, snacks and drinks. We provide salt, pepper, oil and a coffee to start you with. The nearest grocery store, liquor store or restaurant is located in Heriot Bay village, about 25 minutes drive.

Day trips on longer stays are easy but be prepared to hunker down and go for a swim and let the silence of the forest cradle you.

We provide Wifi access: provider Starlink.

There is small TV with DVD player. TV has basic Shaw channels, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

There is a Large Breed of dog on the property.

The living room has a leather sofa and a leather recliner, tv with stereo sound and all channels. Of course there is Optik wifi.

The bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed, the upstairs through a steep stairway has a double size bed. The upstairs is not suitable for young children or a person with mobility issues.

The Haidaway is suitable for a maximum of 3 guests, which is perfect for 2 adults and one child over 5 years old. The steep stairway makes it not suitable for very young children or seniors.

There's a walk in shower in the bathroom.

The outside has another solarium with a 1908 6' clawfoot tub and comes with privacy and bubbles. It has been dubbed by previous guests as "the tub of youth". There is also hot and cold outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after a surf.

There is also another outdoor deck with 2 comfy adirondak chairs. The yard is totally private surrounded by rainforest vegetation.

The space
This Little House has big charm!

Large ceiling to floor windows below a vaulted ceiling add to the abundance of natural light. Lush green cedar views and the view of the sparkling blue Salish Sea enhance the beautiful character of the Little House.

The cozy living room includes an electric fireplace which adds to the warm ambience as you gaze at the sun setting over the Salish Sea.

A Natuzzi couch and a stressless recliner complete the living room.

The folding twin beds can be set up in the living room for the night and stored in the bedroom closet during the day. During good weather, some guests prefer to set the cots up on the upper deck to sleep under the stars.

The upper deck is equipped with a propane BBQ along with a patio table and chairs.

The flames of the propane firepit keep you cozy and warm on the lower deck, inviting you to relax while enjoying your after dinner wine.

The lower deck is also the home of the beautiful Storm hot tub,
the perfect spot to watch the twinkling lights of the ferries in the distance.
The spa is open all year for your enjoyment.

Please note that the lower concrete deck is the only spot where smoking is permitted. No smoking allowed inside Little House, or on the upper deck.

Guest access
There is plenty of parking at Little House, and we have trails and numerous lovely beaches within easy walking and biking distance.

Other things to note
We have an outdoor clothesline off the upper deck.
Also, the room darkening drapes are in the bedroom only.
No smoking inside Little House, but only on the concrete lower deck.
No glass beverage containers in the hot tub please. Insulated wine tumblers and plastic glasses are provided.
Discs are available in the cottage in order to play the beautiful Pender Island Disc Golf course.
One 11 lb. complimentary propane tank included, subsequent propane can be purchased at Home Hardware 1k from Little House.

The space
Coastal Soul Cottage is a family-friendly beachfront haven. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, both with queen beds, dressers and blackout blinds. The loft area upstairs has 2 single beds, blackout blinds and a play area. All beds are new Sealy Posturepedic mattresses. Living & dining space has floor to ceiling windows to enjoy all the views. 50" Smart TV w/ cable. Internet throughout the home. Fully stocked kitchen with all the cookware & essentials you'll need. Full bathroom with new soft towels. High chair, pack & play with attachable change table, stool, kids books, toys & board games provided. We also provide beach chairs, sand toys, wagon & beach towels to make your beach days easy. There is also a garage to store your bikes and ski equipment. You'll have everything you'll need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Air conditioning throughout.

Guest access
Guests will be able to self check-in upon arrival. There is an electronic keypad on the front door that will provide access to the home. We will send you the code prior to arrival.

Guests have private access to the entire home and property to relax and enjoy both the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Walk-on waterfront access from the yard.

Beach access to the sandy part of Gartley Beach is only a 2 minute walk from the cottage. This beach is perfect for children with great family friendly swimming and sand.
Mt Washington Resort is a 35 minute drive.
Kingfisher Resort & Spa is a 3 minute drive or 18 minute walk.
Trent River trails are a 5-10 minute walk away.
Downtown is about a 10 minute drive to enjoy all that the Comox Valley has to offer.
