A great year round place on the lake to gather with friends and family. Timber frame style cabin. Two sided indoor stone fireplace, Granite counters, heated slate floors, fold way glass dividing wall for quiet time, 72” tv, rustic log pole beds, and bunk beds. Decks on two levels, and third near the lake, seasonal outdoor shower, year round hot tub, 2 bbq’s, 2 outdoor eating areas, outdoor patio, stone fire pit, great sunsets, calm waters, and plenty of things to do in the local area.

Other commitments have us spending less time at the cottage. We hate to see such a great spot not being used. When looking at the listing on VRBO/Home Away, be sure to check that it is Canadian Dollars, not US Dollars.

Located in the restricted area of Victoria Beach. The restriction means you cannot drive your cars to the cottage from the last week or two of June till September long weekend. You park in a parking lot and take your items to the cottage either walking or by renting a taxi for $10-15. The restricted area is a great feature if you are familiar with the area, everyone bikes, or walks where ever they go. A real laid back feel. Our cottage is 2600 Sq ft. 2 story with Vaulted Ceilings, Wood Floors and Heated Slate Floors, Post and Beam Style construction built with Local Pine and Douglas Fir from BC. 4 large bedrooms that sleep 8 adults and 4 children in bunk beds. Bunk beds are rated for children only. 2 - 4 piece bathrooms, large living room with large stone - 2 sided fireplace, kitchen with Quarter Sawn Oak cabinets, Stainless Steel Appliances, and Granite Counter tops including a bar top sitting area. The dining table can easily sit 10- 12 (we've squeezed in more). When you open up the glass wall that separates the dining room from the porch, you have a second dining room table that we call the (kids dining table), which when closed off at night after dinner we use for games, as the porch table is perfect for Crokinole and Rummoli. The glass wall also blocks sound from the main cabin, as late night Rummoli can become ruckus!! The porch also has a smaller sitting room, with 2 couches and a chair to enjoy the view of the lake with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The porch is 4 season, but with the windows opened up, and the windows at the back of the cabin open, a nice breeze can flow through (one of my favourites).

There is a large 2nd floor deck off the master bedroom with access also from outside the master bedroom. This deck has glass panels for a view of the lake, as well as 2 tables for outdoor meals or drinks in the sun. The Deck also houses a hammock which can be moved around to capture either sun or shade.

The deck off the main floor porch on the lakeside has 2 BBQ's, Firepit, Outdoor Sofa, Adirondack chairs, Hot Tub, and Outdoor Cedar Shower.

The lower lake deck with stairs to the sand beach, has wrap around seating to hold many people along with all the beach gear. The beach is a quaint sand beach, and is only accessible by the three cottages surrounding you. You can walk out in the water as far as you like, and it's usually sand bottom the whole way.

There is a Flat Screen TV to hook up electronics, as well as Wi-Fi. We try our best not to use it, as VB is about the community, the beaches and all the great activities. We are spoiled with the calm waters in the Bay, the sailing regatta's every weekend which provide some great photo opportunities, and the private beach just steps from our door.

In the Spring, Fall, and Winter it is no different. Spring and Fall bring great colours, chill in the air, bonfires, and a tranquil, peaceful community. The quieter surroundings also tend to bring out more wildlife.

Winter has a wealth of activities. Great skiing trails at the VB Golf Course. We usually build a small skating rink on the lake for the kids, along with a snow fort. Other activities include the tobbogan hill, skating and curling rinks at the community center. We also snowshoe, and try our hand at ice fishing. If we have interest in the cottage over the winter months, we may also consider renting out our snowmobile, as it allows people to get to areas they have never been, including Elk Island trails, Belair Forest and many other trails through the wooded areas and lake surrounding VB.

Welcome to Jackpine Cottage, a beautifully renovated four-season retreat that blends modern comfort with historic charm. Nearly every part of the cabin has been upgraded, with one special exception — the original rustic floors, reclaimed from David’s Store, a beloved local landmark that was demolished decades ago. This lake front cottage is located on the main beach in Gimli, MB just 50 paces away! It is fully renovated and loaded with all you need for a relaxing time at the beach. There is a TV, DVD, WIFI, gas BBQ, window AC and ceiling fans throughout. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each and our guests share how they love our beds.There is a deck at the back for enjoying the evening sun and a large private deck at the front to enjoy the view of the lake and a screen room off of the deck.

This cottage is smoke free and allows up to 2 dogs with an additional pet fee of $60 per pet. This cottage is ideal for families as all attractions are close by. The white sand beach is just 50 paces away, the beach playground is a short walk, the splash pad, playground and Gimli Park are two blocks away. Downtown Gimli is filled with a variety of restaurants and shops. Camp Morton is a short drive away.

Please see the calendar for availability, minimum stay is one week in July and August from Friday to Friday. Minimum stay during other times of the year range from 2-4 days.

Relaxing retreat in Matlock, Manitoba on southwest shore of Lake Winnipeg. Fully furnished, two-bedroom cabin, sleeps 4-6. One large bedroom with a double bed and a smaller bedroom with a single loft bed. As well as a moveable single cot and a couch that folds out into a bed for one adult or two children. Kitchen and bathroom both have all amenities needed. High speed internet and flat screen TV with HDMI cable is provided so you can plug in your device (laptop, tablet, X-Box) and stream Netflix, internet, games, etc. Use our deep fryer and/or barbecue with supplied propane on the giant wrap-around deck. We have a comfortable screened in porch on the front of the cabin for your morning coffee or evening game of cards, the veranda is great for outdoor living without the bugs. Access to your own private sandy beach the moment you step out of the door. In the winter, you can go ice fishing right on the lake.
The space
The master bedroom consists a spacious king bed and a gorgeous private washroom. It is perfect for a romantic getaway trip with your significant other.

The second bedroom is cozy and can comfortably accommodate one person on the twin bed, or it can be converted into a queen bed for two people. This is great for your little family members or extra guests.

If you would like to extend your group to 6 people then I can provide a queen sized air-mattress, with an extra blanket and pillows to accommodate 2 more people if they don't mind sleeping in the living room. Just be sure to notify me in your booking so I can prepare.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all the basic cooking utensils and seasoning you need to whip up a delicious meal during your stay. For all the coffee lovers out there, a coffee maker and coffee are provided for free so you can start your morning off right.

Located in a peaceful town of St. Laurent, there are some restaurants nearby, a convenience store, gas station, and even a pharmacy.
Other things to note
There is no wifi so that you can fully be unplugged and to indulge in your trip. Cellphone reception is pretty good around here, so you can access your own data plan if needed.

However, you won't be bored without wifi though! As a throwback to the good old days, we've provided a DVD player and a vast collection of movies for you to enjoy on our comfortable sofa. Spend a night in, snuggle up with a blanket and take a trip down memory lane with your favorite movies.

Welcome to Seaside Cottage! Arrive ready to relax in our in our vintage but cozy lake home located in the quiet Village of Dunnottar along the shores of Lake Winnipeg. We provide: all bedding, linens, basic paper products, soaps, shampoo, hair dryer, misc. toiletries and most everything else you will need for a comfortable stay in lake country. Kitchen: There is a large fridge/freezer, stove/oven, microwave 4 slice toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, kettle, rice cooker and crockpot. You won't miss a dishwasher because the view out the kitchen window to the gardens is so lovely! Our well and water filtration system provides clear clean water and a good size hot water heater is housed outside adjacent to the cottage.

Living Room: This lovely room has electric heating and an air conditioner plus a freestanding fan and ceiling fan. There is a smart TV for streaming Netflix etc. Plenty of movies for the DVD player, plus games and puzzles. A Google Mini and CD player with Ipod dock for playing music.

Sunroom: Take your morning coffee and watch the sun come up over the lake in our cozy sunroom with lots of choices for seating and a dining table for 6. Plenty of books and magazines to enjoy if you ever get tired of the view! This room also has electric heating and an air conditioner.

Bedrooms: Both bedrooms include a double bed with comfortable linens and pillows. Each has a dresser, nightstand, mirror, chair, fan and place for your suitcase. Lots of hooks for hanging and a large shelf.

Bathroom: Shower, sink, toilet , lots of towels and plenty of space to store your items! Small fan and window.

Outside spaces: The large back deck overlooks our beautiful gardens and has table seating for 6. A great place to enjoy the evening meal or cocktail hour. A BBQ with propane, cooler and side table are included for your use. The firepit with seating for 6 is subject to local fire bans. The front deck includes a fire table with propane and comfy seating. Both front and deck areas have lighting at night. The night sky over the lake is absolutely amazing. View from our front deck or at the seating area at waters edge just steps from our front door.

The famous Emporium is a great dining option and there are several local beaches nearby. Winnipeg Beach is just a few minutes away by car and in addition to the fabulous beach, it offers great grocery and dining options, a driving range as well as a coin laundry. The Beach House offers a spacious kitchen and dining area with amazing lake views, a cozy living room, and games area with wrap around windows.

Spend time out on the front deck barbequing and soaking up the sun, or choose to enjoy the ample amount of beach available, either at the lower beach near the water or the upper beach closer to the deck.

The Beach House is equipped with 2 air conditioners, as well as baseboard heat throughout the cabin, so it will be just the right temperature, regardless of the weather.

We also provide satellite TV for those who wish to watch the game, stay up-to-date with the news, or to distract the kids on those rainy days!

There are 4 bedrooms in total: two bedrooms have a queen bed each, one room has a bunkbed (2 single beds), and the last room has a quad bunk (4 single beds).

The waterfront has a shallow sand entry, which is a favourite among kids and adults alike. If jumping into the water is more your style, we also offer a dock system with plenty of length to get your speed up before your impressive cannonball, or to dock your boat.

Other things to note:
Due to septic restrictions, there is a maximum limit of 10 guests on the property at anytime. The Beach House is a family-oriented cabin, with many other families on the bay, so NO PARTIES please!

Child Friendly

Clean and nicely furnished 1,200 sq ft cottage located close to the marina and across the street from Boundary Creek. A 15 minute walk to the beach, downtown, arcade, boardwalk, bandstand, restaurants and shopping. Great ice fishing and a wood burning fireplace makes this place a perfect winter holiday too!

The space
Our cottage is a perfect spot to get away in all seasons and only a short one hour drive from Winnipeg. It has a large sized family room with comfortable seating, a wood burning fireplace, LCD TV, DVD player and plenty of movies to choose from. There is a 4-piece bathroom, which includes a deep soaker tub and stand-up shower. A good sized functional kitchen and dining room, one site washer and dryer and a water cooler for bottled water. We have a fenced in backyard with a back deck, a BBQ (propane provided) and also a small deck out the front door as well. There is also a fire pit in the front yard. Baseboard heat throughout the cottage keeps you warm for winter stays.

10 minute drive to Gimli and Sandy Hook golf course. About 15 minute walk to the beach and downtown Winnipeg. Take highway 9 South for 10 minutes to get to Matlock. Parking space for 2 vehicles in the back of cabin.

Charming two bedroom cottage located in Hecla-Grindstone Provincial Park. The cottage is nestled on a beautiful lot with over 300’ of dense forest on two sides. It is fully equipped, including a BBQ, spacious wrap-around deck (3 sides), large yard, fire pit and kitchen. In addition, we have kayaks, lifejackets, bikes, and firewood included for you to use! Your reservation will require cleaning the cabin for the next guests.

The space
Curl up on the couch by the big window while reading a book and watch the deer pass by on the yard during their morning stroll. Take advantage of lounging on the deck while taking in the sunshine, with a drink in hand. When you make a fire in the backyard, make sure to sit back and enjoy the beautiful stars and serenity of the quiet forrest surrounding you.
You can get around the park by walking, vehicle or bikes. There are no ATV's or motorcycles allowed in the park. We are located within walking distance of the beach, multiple water access points, the boat launch, nature trails and the Grindstone General Store. We are also a 40 minute drive from Hecla, a popular Manitoba destination.
If you want to try out Grindstone's other beach and boat launch, it is only a 7 minute drive up the road. There is also a new playground and beach volleyball court there to enjoy!
Inside the cottage, we have a shower and sink in the bathroom, but the toilet facilities are in a building outside, right off the deck. Don't let that scare you though! We have worked hard to make the "outhouse" a very positive experience for you!
With this reservation, you will need to clean the cabin before you checkout. There will be a checklist provided for you.
Check in as early as 8am on the first day of your reservation, and check out as late anytime before midnight on the last day!

This beautiful cottage is at the heart of Steep Rock, it is a great get away from the daily routine in the city. It is an old cabin that has been renovated. It has lot of charm but it is still a work in progress so please take that into consideration when booking!

The location is perfect for hiking and going to the cliffs. There is access to a beach near by and steep rock beach park is only 5 minutes by car.

(NOTE: Basement is under renovation and not accessible to guests)

The space
The house only sleeps 8 guests, that is the maximum number of people allowed. If a guest arrives with more than the number of people stated in the reservation the reservation could result in an immediate cancellation with no refund or a fee of $25 PLUS an additional fee per each additional person per night.

Guest access
The entire first floor in the cottage is accessible to guests, as well as the back and front yards. However, please respect the neighbours properties. They both have swing sets and play structures which are off limits to our guests. (NOTE: Basement is under renovation and not accessible to guests)

Other things to note
Remember to bring bug spray! There are mosquitos that come out during the evening and if you are planing of hiking or going through the woods we would recommend you bring tick repellent as well. Please watch out for poison ivy in the forrest as well.

We provide bed linens, toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, dish cloths, dish soap, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, and oil. Any other necessities are to be provided by the guests.

We DO NOT provide towels! Please be sure to bring your own!

Please be aware that there are no grocery stores or gas stations in Steep Rock. The nearest one is in Moosehorn which is about a half an hour drive from the cottage.

Welcome to Karibu Cottage! Relax with the family at our clean and peaceful two bedroom four season cottage. A 1000 sq ft bungalo with wi-fi, air conditioning, a deck, 6 person hot tub and a screened-in gazebo.

Our cottage is located on a quiet street that is a short walk to Lake Winnipeg. The closest pier is only an 8 minutes walk away.

It is a 5 minute drive to Winnipeg Beach & Matlock Beach and a 20 minute drive to Gimli.

Great location for ice fishing, hunting and snow mobiles.

The space
Open-concept kitchen and living room with an expandable dining table that seats 6. The kitchen island also has seating for 2. There is vinyl flooring throughout the cottage.

The living room has a comfy reclining couch and chair. The wood burning stove is a great feature during the colder months.

An Amazon Fire TV Stick will be provided to watch streaming services on the TV (using your own streaming subscriptions).

Full equipped kitchen includes a stove, microwave, full fridge and dishwasher. Pots, pans, dishes, glassware and utensils are provided.

We are walking distance to Steep Rock Beach Park, the boat launch and are just a few minutes' drive to the beautiful Steep Rock Cliff's.

The space
This cabin comfortably sleeps 6 and offers a fully equipped kitchen and dining room. The living room is warm and cozy with 40” Satellite TV, Wi-Fi and electric fireplace. Master bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and TV. Second bedroom offers double bunk beds. There is one bathroom with a stand up shower and comes with a washer and dryer. Rest assured; this is the place you are looking for! Spruce Cottage is a 4 season 1500 sqft, 4 bedroom cottage, is a 5 min walk to the north end of provincial park/beach/boardwalk and is located near Salty's restaurant for tasty food and ice cream. It is also walking distance to the tennis courts, play structures and marina.

The space
The kitchen, dining room and sitting room is a bright open space with knotty-pine vaulted ceilings. there is another entertainment room for the kids to play in with games, puzzles and a smart tv or jut to sit back and reflect on the day at the beach.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, coffee maker , toaster, microwave and BBQ utensils, just bring your food and don't forget the marshmallows. Note there is a fire extinguisher under sink.

Master bedroom features comfortable Queen mattress with a pack'n play provided.
2nd bedroom features a Queen bed
3rd bedroom has two twin beds with access only thru master bedroom
4th bedroom has a double bed

The bathroom has a shower only and towels are provided for use in the cottage. Bring your own toiletries and beach towels. A first aid kit is also located in vanity.

However, the front deck is where you want to be with chairs for relaxing with your morning coffee or sitting at the fire table in the evening with a glass of wine. The area in front of the cottage includes a firepit table and four chairs that are exclusively for you own use.

Your entertainment is yours to deicide! Over 50 DVDs, as well as puzzles, board games and books. Live bands on Saturday evenings(summer) at the boardwalk and manly little shops to explores, including coffee shops, pizza places and ice cream.

We are pet friendly, we just ask that you ensure puppy presents are picked up and that you don't leave your pet outside while you are at the beach.

Please note we are NOT a party place and age limits may apply. Booking Guest ID will be checked and booking guest must remain on the property the entire stay. ie Booking guest cannot book for younger ppl and leave.

Winnipeg beach is a vibrant and adorable beach town with plenty of restaurants, swimming, shops and fishing spots. A guest guide will be provided in the cottage with a list of local amenities, restaurants, and things to do during stay.

The boardwalk is only 1.5 blocks away and overlooks the lake and has access for unsupervised swimming as well.
A short 10 min walk along the water will bring you to the provincial park beach, which is supervised, and the pavilion where there is live bands on Saturday evenings (summer).

There is parking at the back of residence which is accessed from the back lane and has a backdoor to conveniently carry your things in.

The front door has the keypad for access.

Guest access
The entire cabin, front deck and back yard are all yours to enjoy privately. The bunkie in the backyard is used as a storage shed by the owners and is kept locked.

We offer a seamless self-check using smart locks. Check-in instructions will be provided a few days before your arrival with your unique access code. Keys will be made available by our property manager in the rare event that the smart locks don't work.

The kitchen has a seating area, full fridge and stove. It is stocked with dishes, cutlery and cookware. There is a microwave, toaster and regular coffee pot. The gazebo opens from the living room where you will find another seating area. Water is drinkable but people prefer to use water dispenser for drinking. Tap water should be used for cooking and dishes. We supply one water jug. More can be purchased at matlock store a few minutes away.

2 spacious bedrooms can accommodate a total of 6 people with a queen bed in the master and a queen bed and one twin bunk bed in the other bedroom. A full surround stand up shower highlights a full bathroom with a vanity and toilet.

There is a deck out back with a propane BBQ which is available for your use. There is a firepit area near the shore rocks as well. We have lawn chairs in the veranda that can be used by the fire. We supply one propane tank and fire wood.

All you need to do is pack your clothes and food for a fun getaway!

Check in is 3:00pm. Check out is 10:00am ** Our cleaning crew is scheduled to arrive at 10:15 so a late fee of $75 will be applied if not left by 10:00am. The cabin takes times to clean and prep for the next guests so we require this time for that.

Parking for 4-5 vehicles or trailers.

Other things to note:
There is a public sandy beach approx 5 minute walk from the cottage if you turn South out of the driveway. *Please do NOT walk along other cabins shorefront to access beach as this is private property.*

**Parties are not permitted. Please respect our neighbors and keep the volume down after 11pm. No more than 6 guests are permitted at the cabin.**

** We are a dog friendly cabin (2 max) but no pets on any furniture or additional fees will apply. All pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fee. Please note that there is no fence and the neighbors have dogs that wander **

** No smoking allowed in cabin or veranda ** Any smoking inside will result in loss of damage desposit.

** We have high speed satellite Wifi but it can still be intermittent at times, especially in the summer. Please keep this in mind if planning to log in to work from our cottage. We recommend a back up such as a hot spot just in case.

Lake Winnipeg is known for the best Walleye fishing in Manitoba. You can fish right from the front of the cabin, at the nearby beach or launch a boat nearby (Matlock, Winnipeg Beach or Netley Creek).

There are numerous beaches, restaurants, bars, gas stations, etc throughout Matlock, Petersfield and Winnipeg Beach/Gimli area.

Other things to note
The water is drinkable but we also supply one water jug during your stay. Please bring more if preferred. The tap water should be used for cooking. Please bring your own spices, condiments and cooking oils etc.

All bedding and 6 bath towels are supplied. We put out 3-4 rolls of toilet paper but no other bath amenities are provided.

There are outdoor lawn chairs available for your use. Please put back inside veranda when not in use due to strong winds off the lake. We have various yard games, board games and a record player available as well. Dartboard pictured has been removed as it no longer works.

There is no Air Conditioning in the cottage. We have a few floor fans for your use.

If you are looking for a quiet escape to nature, this is the place for you! This secluded 2 BR cottage on a quiet lake is surrounded by 88 acres of natural forest and meadows - with no neighbours in sight!

Enjoy the abundant wildlife; explore the properties' marked trails through natural forest; use the canoe and kayaks provided to paddle the lake; and if you're looking for something to do off the property, Clear Lake with its restaurants, shops, beaches, and golfing is just 30 minutes away!

The space
The cottage is well-maintained and very clean. It has an open-concept living space with vaulted ceilings, two bedrooms, a full bath (i.e., toilet, vanity and shower) and a large screened porch with beautiful views of the lake. All bedding, towels and kitchen linens are provided.

Other things to note
A few additional things to note...

- While the lake is beautiful to look at and great for canoeing/boating, it is not good for swimming as there are weeds near the shore.

- Guests are encouraged to use the environmentally-friendly hand and dish-soap provided.

Bring beach towels and water shoes as the lake is a little rocky.

NO diving from dock on the beach or floating dock.

Guests will have access to the entire main cottage and small shed.

Other things to note
No pets. No parties and no smoking inside the cottage. Families and professionals only. We do not accept group bookings so please don’t ask.

Due to the remote location, there are two security cameras on site. One is on the doorbell facing the road and backyard. The second can be turned off during your stay and is facing the beach and front yard.

Very important, especially this year that guests follow all fire burn restrictions that are in place at the time of your stay.

We often use the cottage ourselves between rentals. Guests will notice some personal items we leave behind for our own convenience. The fridge in the kitchen will be cleaned out with the exception of condiments, and we are happy for you to use anything you may need. The pantry will have our personal dry goods (not for renter use). However, there will be one large shelf cleared out for your needs.

Our open-concept 1640 sqft, single level cabin is yours to enjoy! There is nothing better than waking up to the morning sun peering through the large living room windows illuminating the entire cabin and 13' high ceilings. We know you'll love it too!

The backyard, patio, and hot tub provide a very private environment facing a forest. You may even seen a deer or two walking by!

Guest access
Guests have full access to the cabin, patio, hot tub, fire pit (wood and chairs provided), and BBQ.

The laundry room has a remote controlled door lock as it is used for storage but can be accessed upon request.

Other things to note
1. STRICT NO PARTYING RULE (INCLUDING BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTIES) - While we want you to have a fantastic time, we also need to be respectful to our neighbours :) A local Noise Bylaw is in effect with quiet hours from 11pm-8am. Noise alarms located inside and outside the cabin will notify us if noise levels are above 80 dB for more than 15 minutes during the day and 70 dB during quiet hours . It also detects the number of phone devices in the cabin and we will be notified if there are too many for the anticipated number of guests suggesting a party. If the alarm is tampered with we will receive a notification.

2. NO PETS. We don’t even bring our own pets to the cabin to reduce allergy potential for all guests.

3. NO SMOKING inside the cabin - There is a cigarette smoke detector in the cabin which will notify us if any cigarette smoke is detected.

4. Security Cameras - To ensure the safety of our guests there are security cameras overlooking the front of the cabin as well as the back of the cabin. They are not actively monitored.

5. This is a privately owned cabin separate from the Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre so booking a stay with us does not allow entrance to the resort or use of their pool.
