- "Lovely setting, ample facilities including canoe, all as advertised" - "We spent a few days at chalet. The weather didn’t cooperate, all the days were rainy but the arrangement of the chalet created coziness and a feeling of home warmth. We enjoyed the view of the river from the windows of the chalet and the mosquito-proof and well arranged deck. It was nice to have everything prepared for a fire in the yard and children were able to enjoy it. We found fresh vegetables, fruits and other necessary products in local store. Sacacomie lake turned out to be 15 min. drive from the chalet, which surprised us very pleasantly. Special thanks to Kate and Ilya for being able to quickly fix the problem we had with hot water."

- "The cottage looks as advertised and the chickens and bunnies were the highlight. They are so cute! But the access to the water is a 5 minute walk down a path (through the woods), the access is actually finicky and looks a little swampy, and we were advised last minute that there may potentially be a man near the access point (and to not talk or look at him as he's very rude). Put us off guard a bit. Communication was not great at times, but the landlord was very kind and welcoming. We thought they were going to meet us at arrival but they weren't there. We also didn't anticipate the landlord being on-site every day (for the chickens, etc.), would have just been nice to know. Very welcoming letter, and little chocolates. Beware, there's no paper towel, no saranwrap (for cooking and storing). Unfortunately the towels smelled bad and we had to rewash them. The dishes were quite dirty also. We had to wash them before using them. These things can all be rectified easily and better communication surrounding what the expect, and house rules should be provided prior to booking. I've brought these items forward to the landlord and have no doubt they'll do their best to make a few changes moving fwd."

You have your own private entrance and this gives you access to two rooms on two floors. There is a first bed that is on the first bed with the sauna. In the second, there is a second double bed and a full bathroom. The annex is connected by a closed hallway to the main house where you will find all amenities. The entire garden is available for your use. You have access to the entire two-story annex just for you! And, you share the other common areas with my two young adults (not often present, more likely to see them at the Bistro/foodtruck) and me.

In the main house, there is a small dog, Romy the beagle and a cat, Shaman. But, they'll never go to the annex.

In the furnished backyard, relaxation and fun await you during the warm season: terrace, umbrella and BBQ offer you a pleasant and comfortable space for meals. SMALL FAMILIES, GROUPS OF THREE OR REQUEST TO ADD A SINGLE BED FOR TWO PEOPLE:
Please note that there is only one bed in the house (queen size). However, an extra bed (one seat) with a 3-inch (7.62 cm) thick memory foam mattress can be provided in the living room, as well as an extra pillow and bedding, to accommodate a third visitor or child. IMPORTANT: A fee of $35/day will be charged for adding the extra bed to the living room if you request it, whether you are two or three people.

If you have an infant and have your own transport bed you can bring it without any problem or we can provide you with one, but please know that there is not enough space to put it in the bedroom, it will need to be installed in one of the open plan living areas. No additional fees are charged for the crib and high chair, all you have to do is ask for them and we will prepare them for you. Please go and look at the photos of the extra bed and the baby playpen.

Other things to note
Ideal for relaxing in privacy after a beautiful day spent at the Mauricie National Park or elsewhere in one of the many activities in the area. You can cook on site and eat from the comforts of home or try one of the restaurants in the village without having to take your car. Several restaurants are also available 20 minutes by car.

Strategic location for visitors to the Mauricie National Park (canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking) and for bike lovers (road, mountain, fatbike) skiing (alpine, cross-country) and four-season hiking (hiking, snowshoeing).

Our large cottage is located on the shoreline of the River du Loup and offers magnificent views of Lake St-Pierre.
