- Bedding and cooking oil not included, you will need to bring your sheets or sleeping bags and pillows accordingly. As well as your cooking oil or butter.

-Possibility of adding bedding on request and exclusive only to international travelers and as needed for travelers on motorcycles or utility vehicles. $15 will be added to the reservation for the double bed and an additional $5 per single bed for the stay. Please let us know your needs in advance.

- Access to the fire pit and picnic table as well as the Petit Rusty grounds only.

- All new guests must be notified and added to the reservation prior to check-in. No parties or gatherings are allowed.

- Private dry toilet 20 feet at the back of Le Petit Rusty. It doesn't have a shower. The Marineau hostel is a 10-min drive away and offers access to showers.

- Solar electricity, only for lights inside Le Petit Rusty and USB socket for cell phone. No 120 volt outlets. If needed, we can charge some electronic devices at our home.

- No fridge, you need to provide a cooler, ice is available at the gas station 10 minutes from Petit Rusty. On request, cooler available free of charge.

- Compost and recycling bin.

- Padlock included at your disposal to secure Le Petit Rusty.

- No running water, barrels of drinking water are at your disposal, please note that the drinking water has a slight taste of iron, it may be preferable to bring your own drinking water according to your tastes. In winter the sink is closed, a basin is included to do your dishes. It is best that everyone empties the used water into the compost bin to avoid unpleasant odors and visitors throughout the grounds.

- Firewood is included, in cold season for the wood stove inside Le Petit Rusty. Limited quantity for the outdoor fireplace. Reasonable use is appreciated. For additional wood you will have to pay $5 per box, or bring your own wood.

- Non-smoking, an ashtray is located outside to dispose of cigarette butts as needed.

- Out of respect for the animals on the estate and the owner, we no longer accept dogs at Le Petit Rusty, cats or other pets are only allowed on request.

- Fresh eggs from our free-range chickens are available at a cost of $8 per dozen.

- Possibility to visit the kennel and the micro-farm, by reservation only, with the owner of the premises. The cost is $17 +tx/person per day for a guided tour of about 1 hour. Other activities are offered, for a description you can ask Gabrielle or visit the website of "Galeox Univers". It is best to make a reservation in advance for all activities and guided tours of the animals and the estate. Availability is not guaranteed once you arrive at the property. Thank you for your understanding.

-The Mekinac Bridge to get to Petit Rusty is toll, at a cost of $12 ($4 for motorcycle or 4-wheelers) including a round trip, or free within 2 hours and between 10pm and 5am, from early May to late October. The cost is worth it, as you will have access to the Saint-Maurice Mattawin Wildlife Reserve and the Chapeau de Paille ZEC to discover hundreds of lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking trails. In winter, the bridge is no longer toll-free.

-In winter it is highly recommended to have good winter tires and a 4x4 or 4-wheel drive vehicle or truck, to travel on the Petit Rusty road in snowy forest, cleared daily by the municipality.

- In summer it's best to have mosquito repellent.

- Wearing water shoes can be useful for swimming on some pebble beaches or at the falls.

- You can bring slippers if you are sensitive to the wood floors of Petit Rusty.
