A charming 1960s cottage with 2 bedrooms, a great living area with a wood burning fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. We have done our best to both modernize and preserve the cottage for comfort and convenience. Located in a quiet neighbourhood sitting on an acre of land surrounded by old trees.

Best of both worlds... Conveniently located to town with access to groceries, restaurants, shops. Year round outdoor activities within minutes from the house: Golf, hike, swim, mountain bike(summer) orate bike (on groomed winter trails), snowshoe, cross country ski, downhill ski (8km), tree zipline, etc.). 5 min drive to an outdoor Nordic spa & Rawdon beach and Des Chutes Dorwin. There is so much to do in Rawdon.

We love the serene outdoors amongst the trees and the option of using the wood fireplace. The location is amazing. It's a great place to relax with lots to do nearby. It's situated in a beautiful neighborhood yet very close to a golf course, La Source Spa, the town and shops. Frances and Greg are amazing hosts. Are you looking for an unforgettable escape to the nature with a lake? If so, then this cottage is ideal for you. It’s located 1 hour from Montreal, a 4-minute drive from the Rawdon cascades and at a 10-minute drive from the famous Dorwin Falls and the Rawdon public beach. The location provides a full array of interesting activities to do as you can swim, tan, hike, do sight-seeing and enjoy golfing in the summer. Arboretum is 7 minutes away as well.

In winter, you can visit the “La Source Bains Nordiques” spa (10 minutes away), or you can enjoy the fresh air by skating right on the lake and near the Dorwin falls, go cross-country skiing on the lake and at the Rawdon Golf Resort (12 minutes away) or go downhill skiing at Ski Montcalm (4 minutes away). The area also offers sliding, snowshoeing, hockey and leisure skating rinks.

As the cottage is located right on the lake, it gives you access to a private beach with water access and to a deck. The very large backyard is fully isolated from neighbours and provides a peaceful, zen and fun space to disconnect from the daily city life.

The cottage has two full bathrooms (with a hair dryer), two large living rooms and four large bedrooms furnished with queen beds. There are also two double-size sofa-beds and a pouf, which unfolds into a single bed, a toddler bed and 2 baby cribs.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a microwave oven, a 4-slice toaster, a tea boiler, a drip coffee maker, a Keurig coffee maker, a stove with oven, a hand mixer and many pots and pans.

The dining room with the view on the lake has a custom-made table for14 people. The piano and a gas fireplace on the first floor create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Both floors have a magnificent view of the lake.
There is also a solarium for those cozy mornings, featuring a table for 8.
Parking in front of the house can accommodate up to 5 cars. Others can park on the small local road for free.
You will be 10 minutes away from restaurants and various stores, including IGA, Maxi and Metro. Restaurants have a variety of Sushi, French, Italian and other cuisines.
Guests can access the full property, the lake and the beach. Use of water equipment is at guest’s own risk. Several board games are provided for guests’ use.
A sound system (3 speakers) is also available to be used.
There is also a Blue Ray DVD player, a PS3 console, a Nintendo and a Sega.
Baby foot table is also available.

Also note that there is **no cable TV**, but a Blueray player and a large TV are available for viewing movies. There is also a FireStick, with unlimited access to Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium.

Welcome to Lac Clair! Our house is located directly on the lake. The cottage is all about the lake view with big windows and a covered veranda for summer time. The kitchen and living room are an open floor plan. There is one bedroom on the first floor with a full bathroom and the 2 additional bedrooms and bathroom are on the second floor. There is also an unfinished basement with easy access to the level backyard. It is a very quiet place surrounded by trees where you can enjoy lazy days.

The space
For your convenience, there is a pedal boat as well as a row boat. There are life vests for your safety. Be careful and never leave children unattended.

Other things to note
Google Maps places the address of the cottage at the incorrect place on the map. Our cottage is the 3rd entry way on the right when you have reached Chemin du Lac Clair Nord. Please pay attention to addresses on houses.
