The LAZY BOWEN HIDEAWAY is the self-contained, top floor of the duplex, and separate from the LAZY B WATERFRONT SUITE. All entrances, decks, and interior spaces are private.

The Spacious Waterfront Bedroom has a NEW Stearns and Foster Plush Queen bed with Fine Linens, Flat screen TV with cable connection and a Picturesque Ocean view.
BEDROOM #2
The Private Trailside Bedroom has a comfy Queen bed, Flat Screen TV, Sitting Room and Private deck with Ocean View. Another Stunning View is enjoyed from the sitting room opening out to a Private Deck equipped with chairs…perfect for your morning coffee.
DO YOU HAVE ACTIVE YOUNG CHILDREN?
If yes, the Lazy Bowen Hideaway may not be the best choice for your family. Although we have 2 options for you:
Option #1) Rent the Whole House VRBO #901076. This way you will have the freedom for the kids to make all the noise they want. We highly recommend renting the Whole House so everyone can enjoy their stay.
Option #2) Contain your children so they do not make excessive footfall noise by running, jumping tapping, bouncing balls, etc across the floor. These noises sound like a drum and will disturb the Lazy B Waterfront Suite guests that are in the lower rental.

The Large living room, 27’x 27’, has 3 separate sitting areas: Watch the High Definition 55” Smart TV with Cable connection, Relax and Read in one of our Comfort Zones, or Gaze out the Expansive Windows to view Eagles or Ferries going by.

CHILD POLICY
Do include your children in the guest count. With the exception of infants that are not yet walking, we do charge for all guests including children. Unlike simple hotel rooms, we have complete homes with full kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, living & dining rooms to spotlessly clean. Our housekeepers do an excellent job of cleaning after each turnover to provide a thoroughly clean accommodation for the next guest, and this all takes additional time with additional guests. Plus all guests use bedding, water, towels, and other amenities.
PET-FRIENDLY (DOGs ONLY)
We do allow dogs - 2 maximum. $15 per dog per night.
Dogs must be under 80 lbs, non-droolers, 1 year or older,

FREE On-property Parking is provided for AWD vehicles. Free parking is available for 2 wheel drive vehicles at the top of our access road/driveway along Eagle Cliff Road.

AWD or 4WD REQUIRED TO PARK ON PROPERTY
Parking on the property requires driving a short distance on Cleator Road:
~ it is steep in spots
~ it is made of loose gravel
~ it has 3 tight turns.
An all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle the size of a Ford Explorer or smaller is required to drive Cleator Road, our access road/driveway. Or, you may choose to park your 2 wheel drive vehicle at the top of the road and take the 5-minute walk down to the cottage. Parking is free.
2WD VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO PARK AT THE TOP OF OUR DRIVEWAY ~ NO EXCEPTIONS
CLEATOR ROAD SHUTTLE SERVICE
If you drive a 2 wheel drive vehicle, we have an optional Cleator Road Shuttle service for your convenience. Our Shuttle Driver will drive your luggage down Cleator Road at Check-in and up Cleator Road at check-out. All arrangements must be made in advance. *Ask about the details. Fee: $40 *This service is dependent on our driver’s availability and may not be available for all requests.

This unique and tranquil getaway was hand built using timbers from the property. It is a tiny cottage with peak a boo views to the ocean. Located close to a deer crossing, and a walk to local beaches, the property has wildlife, eagles and large towering trees. The cottage was built using natural materials, with some kiln dried cedar planks and "shou sugi ban" exterior cedar siding. It is a 10-12 minute drive to Snug Cove. Suitable for 2 adults only

The space
The space is about 300 sq ft total..small but beautiful- wood, cedar and a patio in front with a bbq . Sitting area with chairs to enjoy or for relaxing.. the bathroom /shower is in the rear of the building -it is private and attached with its own doorway. The sleeping area is upstairs -a lovely king “Blume bed with organic sheets .. the main floor has a simple kitchen with toaster oven, 2 small elements, toaster, coffee & tea etc.. New Weber electric bbq outside .. small fridge .. it’s perfect for two adults! As the stairs are steep there is a no children policy.. strictly no smoking on the premises..

Access is to the 2 level cottage and patio area and around the cottage .. easy walks to the beach from here
Other things to note
All the pertinent info is contained in a binder.. the stairwell is like a marine stairwell so it is not suitable for those that have difficulty with stairs .. not suitable for children. Tents are not allowed on the property .. strictly no smoking or fires on the premises .. thank you

One of Bowen’s favorite Cottages. Fondly known as the ‘Caboose’ as it's a separate living space from the main house located at the back of the property.
A 10 minute drive across the Island from the ferry and the amenities of Snug Cove. Close to Tunstall Bay Beach, the oceanside trail and beaches in The Cape and one of the west side access trails to hike up Mt Gardner.
Suitable for a quiet retreat for singles or a couples only.

The space
580 sf coach house is clean and comfortable with one bedroom, full bathroom (separate shower and an oversized tub), kitchenette with open dining and living room space. Totally private and peaceful back patio area. The only sound maybe the owls in the forest behind, a few neighbouring chickens (no rooster) and an occasional frog visiting the pond in garden below. Front deck has panoramic views of Mount Gardner to the north with ocean and Sunshine Coast mountain range views sunset west.

Accessed by a staircase so not wheelchair friendly or for those with physical challenges.
Not suited for children and babies.
We will send you a detailed message with check-in instructions on the day of your arrival as soon as your suite is ready. We will do our utmost best to check you in as early as possible.
