Tantramar is a 3 bedroom waterfront heritage cottage which has been carefully restored back to the original character with a covered front porch, large deck, French Doors from the front bedroom with views to the water and a queen size bed. The second bedroom has twin beds, the third - the original Laundry Room is very cozy with a queen size bed.

Tantramar is a five minute walk to the Vesuvius Bay Store, ferry, Seaside Restaurant, and public boat dock. Amenities include down quilts/pillows, fully equipped kitchen (no microwave), a double sided wood burning fireplace, a charming bathroom with claw-tub and shower, wireless internet, and a small Bose Bluetooth speaker. There is (still) no TV' and our beds are made up 'European' Style, with clean, crisp duvets. There are top sheets in the closet for those who prefer them.

Families and pets (with vacuum-friendly owners) are welcome at Tantramar although due to an enforced bylaw pets are not allowed on the beach from June 15 through September 15. Careful smoking on the porches only.

Please note, there is a full gym in Ganges (7 minute drive) and a yoga mat with a few pieces of exercise equipment available at the cottage upon request.

Amongst the trees, away from it all and at the end of a long private driveway sits Garden Cottage; even though you feel completely secluded you are close to the ocean, parks, maybe stop by one or all of the many gourmet farm stands in the area, just enjoy the deck and the trees or in 18 minutes be at the famous Saturday market and all that Ganges has to offer.

Our 3 acre property is only a 20min. walk from Ganges. We nestled this clean and quaint cabin in its own cedar grove, separate from the main house.
Your cabin for two has beautiful natural lighting with pine ceiling, cork floor and a high bed overstuffed with feathers and crisp white linens. Cedar boardwalks to the sweetest no-flush toilet in its own building. Outdoor claw foot tub and wash basin

- "We spent three days at this incredible little cabin in the forest and would definitely return. Tara was an amazing host and met us as we arrived with a wave and a promise to bring us some goodies once we were settled. As we pulled up it felt like we had opened a storybook and entered a fairytale setting! The cabin was cozy and clean, the outdoor kitchen cute with fresh flowers and the bed was the most comfy we have slept in while on holiday. Tara came down with fruit, homemade granola, bakery muffins coffee and cream. She had a map of the area and made recommendations and answered all our questions. During our stay she checked in with us online and made sure we were relaxing and offered to bring more goodies if we needed. The island, itself, was a beautiful place to explore. Mount Maxwell offered beautiful views from the top and Baders Beach incredible sunsets. We kayaked with seals in Burgoyne Bay and bought soaps and lavender pepper from Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm. Bring your frisbees and play a round of golf at Mouat Park and Disc Golf. Just a heads up, the trails are shared with pedestrians, and it was still a lot of fun! I think our favourite part was coming back and bathing in the forest. A relaxing, refreshing and magical experience to soak in the tub under the stars in a lush green forest. We would highly recommend (although, we’d rather not have to share) this incredible oasis and the genuinely thoughtful and kind host that Tara is ❤️"

You have access to the full cottage, 2 bedrooms; one with a one single bed and one bedroom with a queen bed, living room, bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer, kitchen and small eating area, plus the beautiful deck outside with two benches to slow down and enjoy the island magic.

NOTHING except human waste and "LOW" toilet paper are allowed to be flushed down the toilet!

Outdoor living is is a big part of lake living, outdoor lounging areas with gazebo for sundown glass of wine, BBQ and fireplace. Please note we are a clothing optional lake so you will see nudity!
The main cabin features open concept living areas with gas fireplace and Tv for movie watching. The entire cabin has high ceilings and a fabulous wall of windows that brings the outdoors in.
The modern kitchen comes with stainless steel appliances fridge, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, kettle and toaster.
There is no laundry on site
The cabin is best for 2 people, featuring a luxurious king bed in the loft, wonderful view of the property. There are no walls separating the sleeping loft from the living space. A truly cozy and inspiring home with lake views and private access. There is a dock to relax and a kayak and canoe to paddle around the lake with .

Also on the property is a very nice caretaker with a friendly dog . She has her separate entrance and parking.

About Salt Spring Island it is the largest of the southern gulf islands, our property is situated on the South side of the island with an easy drive to the quaint Fulford Harbour and the hiking trails along the ocean of Ruckle Park. Only a 15 min drive to the main town of Ganges with wonderful restaurants, shops, theaters, and artist galleries. Once there, visit the famous Saltsrping Island Saturday Market, a food lovers paradise. The islands studio tours and gourmet food tours will surprise you with new found tasting grounds.

- "We had a wonderful time staying at Uta’s. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The check in was so easy. Uta was a great host and gave us some great recommendations. We’ll be coming back next year!" - "We stayed at Uta’s beautiful Salt Spring vacation home for a week this August, 2023 and were lucky enough to catch some gorgeous weather. We were able to take full advantage of the lake, steps from the back door and spent much of the time in the water, swimming with our dog, kayaking and just sipping wine and soaking up the view. When we weren’t in the water we were enjoying Uta’s fully fenced beautiful garden, or lounging on a couch on one of the decks. The accommodation itself is wonderfully comfortable; artistic, boho and rustic with everything one could need for a long stay. We found Uta to be extremely friendly, and very keen that everything was to our liking. Whilst she was keen to learn of our exploits, Uta kept a respectful distance when we needed space and privacy. Whilst her adorable little dog was the perfect size and temperament for our little Yorkie, being old, he didn’t want to play. He stayed with his mama and was absolutely quiet. The accommodation is in a great location with many attractions within a short drive. We ate out at Salt Spring Wild Cider House a couple of times and enjoyed great food and and beverage - and our dog was welcome on the patio which was great! We visited Salt Spring Island Cheese and enjoyed lunch there, again with our pup. We visited Ruckle Provincial Park which is beautiful and totally worth a day out and picnic. All in all, I would highly recommend the Lake House. I’m sure at one point we’ll be back."

The Wildwood Cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay on Salt Spring Island. Very comfortable bed, curtains for a good sleep. Personal parking spot with EV charger. Kitchen equipped to cook while you stay. There is a shared inground pool from June 1st-September 1st. Private front patio with couch, swing and fire pit. Our area is close to town but far enough away to be relaxing even in the busy summer months. Walking distance to the fabulous Salt Spring Wild Cider, grocery's, cold beer and wine and the Legion. 2 min walk to the main road and bus line. Only friendly pets on and off leash are welcome. We have a cat and dog that free room on the property. There is parking for one car on the property. Otherwise there is street parking.

Delightful B&B cottage located in the popular south end of Salt Spring Island. The cottage is a completely separate and private building with parking just outside the door. There is a private outside area with a picnic table and two Adirondack chairs for your use.

The space
You’ll be close to lots of walking trails, kayak/canoe launching beaches, two swimming lakes and some of the most beautiful ocean beaches on the island. Ruckle Park, Barbara’s bakery stand, Salt Spring Cheese, Stowel Lake Farm and The Gatehouse Yoga Centre, two wineries and a brewery are all in the neighbourhood and just a few minutes away. A very special part of the island beckons.

The craftsman style cottage offers a loft bedroom with a queen bed. If you require 2 beds, we can provide the queen in the loft and a single on the main floor. The main floor offers the OPTION of a king bed (2 singles together) and is ONLY AVAILABLE BY SPECIAL REQUEST. All the beds have memory foam topped mattresses. All are very comfortable and have quality cotton sheets and goose down duvets and goose down filled pillows. Depending on your preference, YOU CAN CHOOSE which bed and bedroom suits your needs. The cottage is suitable for 2 adults. Unfortunately, this cottage is not suited for infants or young children. The cottage is completely separate from the main house.

Our pure abundant well water means you won't need to bring drinking water. The private bathroom on the main floor has a walk-in shower and low flush toilet. You have all the conveniences in your B+B cottage to make your stay functional and enjoyable. A large closet space gives you plenty of room to put your things away.

If you treasure natural beauty and tranquility then this might be the spot for you! The very private cottage is separate from the main house, and they are located on 3+ acres of a forested and moss-covered meadow. Sunlight abounds and views from your picture windows are mesmerizing.

Attention to detail at every turn in building this cottage has created a warm and welcoming ambience. Your hosts, Diane and Jim, will be available to offer Island information when you want it.

Parking is available outside your cottage door. There is a private backyard area with picnic table and chairs outside your own backdoor.

A first morning complementary breakfast is provided. Tea and coffee are available. The kitchenette offers an electric kettle, french coffee press, toaster and more. You will find everything that you will need.

The cottage has a NO SMOKING POLICY indoors and out. We live on a special island and work hard at preventing fires.

I live on-site and do yard-work as needed. Your interaction with me is up to you! I am here if needed. My default is to let you have your space and drop into your own experience.

You will see deer and a beautiful array of birds. We are off the road so you will hear traffic from time to time. If the creek is running, that is what you'll mostly hear, however. We do not have any pests, rodents or predators on-site. The cottage is comfortable and rustic only in its external appearance.

There are no laundry facilities in the cottage, but I am happy to run a load for you if requested with a small fee. Laundry request papers are found in the cottage to fill out with instructions.

You get the whole place to yourselves and a little ocean view too. All within easy reach of Ganges Village and local beaches, wineries, artist studios, and lakes.

Its your own private sanctuary, with indoor-outdoor living and new modern appliances: range, fridge, washer-dryer, and a well-equipped kitchen. Some breakfast basics and fixings are also included.

A clean and comfortable cottage with 2 bedrooms upstairs, and a sofa bed downstairs. Excellent Wi-Fi, Netflix and a Smart TV, along with various games help you keep entertained indoors. Meanwhile, our outdoor areas include a hammock, and a bistro set to enjoy your morning coffee on the front deck. As well as a garden patio furniture to enjoy your evening meal, or lunch, outside. Cooked on our small Weber BBQ no doubt.

The bright cottage also has a large indoor dining table, and wood stove. Also, there is a small ocean view from the Master bedroom. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower.

We are centrally located only a few minutes from Ganges, the main center. While you are here there a a multitude of things to do depending on your interests: whale watching, kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, visit art galleries, local farm stands and markets, go on cycle routes, take tasting tours of wineries and cider making, visit our local brewery or distillery, or go to the cheese farm, do yoga, go to a spa, have a massage, play golf, eat at great restaurants and pubs, go on an artists studio tour, go to numerous lakes and beaches, or just chill and relax !

- "We really enjoyed our stay, it was mostly quiet even on a long weekend and the little details were great " - "We absolutely loved staying here! The property is beautiful, private, and so quaint! We stayed with our small dogs, and they had a blast. I love that there is a little fenced area for them to safely explore. This cabin is excellent for a couple, or a small family who doesn’t mind sharing. We loved the huge bed with all the pillows! I would say that a larger group may not be so comfortable. The other building is not closed in, and not very clean or comfortable. I personally wouldn’t want to sleep there! We didn’t use this space at all. The claw foot tub is a highlight!!! One previous guest said it’s dirty, but it absolutely isn’t. It just has character!! The kitchen is fully stocked, clean, and fun to cook in! There is no toaster oven like in the photos - we brought a flatbread to cook in it, but were surprised to see it was replaced with a microwave. There is no shampoo, despite the listing. Luckily, we had some with us! A bar of nice soap was provided. Overall, this property is a dream! We are already planning our next visit! Fabulous nature and ocean glimpses and now it's time to chill. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered patio area or settle in with a good book, while the afternoon sun lights up the arbutus trees in your view. You will hear the sounds of nature and see the occasional deer walking through the property.
Only 5 minutes by car to the seaside village of Ganges where you can dine out, visit the famous Salt Spring Market or shop locally. Our place is a short walk to a local Cidery. Great hiking trails or beaches are close by
You will find absolutely everything you need to prepare your own meals for a comfortable stay and then sleep soundly in natures glow.

- "The location was excellent ( short drive to central village), on a peaceful bright street. The unit is very clean, nicely updated and I personally really appreciated how clean the kitchen & bathroom were, two areas that I don’t always find to be very clean in other places I’ve stayed. When we travel we are mostly out but given how lovely this unit was we actually stayed in more than we went out as it was very relaxing. The view from the living room is beautiful, bright and forested, very private despite having neighbors all up & down the street ( it’s not remote). I would definitely book my stay here again when we visit Saltspring in the future."

Stunning waterfront, beautiful independent small cottage, private parking/entrance, cozy and comfortable with all amenities (cable, Wi-Fi, etc), barbecue, and breathtaking sunset views. Guests have privacy and access to an exclusive dock and exercise/media room with a small infrared sauna (shared space). Fenced trails within the property and plenty of room to relax and enjoy nature, including the eagle's nest right above the cottage. E-bikes, kayaks and paddleboards available for rent in town. Sorry, no kids under 13.

The space
The Nest is a cozy and relaxing place where you can enjoy nature and stunning views from sunrise to sunset, just steps from the ocean. Our Orchard offers apples, pears and cherries for the picking (in season), and you may also enjoy our organic herbs and vegetable gardens. Located by the sea, Valhalla offers private trails and the ideal setting for water sports, with rental (delivery) options in town.

Guest access
You may explore the whole estate, except the main house, the Loft (separate cottage) and the caretaker's house.

Other things to note
Please note that we share our home with our guests, and that we are a small and familial operation, without staff or full-time services. We are only happy if our guests are having the best time, so we try hard to have their expectations met within our capacity.

If you have an Electric Vehicle, there are several charging stations around the island. We do not have EV charging capacity on the property.

We use regular cleaning products. If you have any sensitivity to detergents such as Tide/Persil/Downy or Greenworks, Clorox, Pledge, etc please advise us at the time of your booking so we can accommodate your special cleaning request.

Although we love to see our guests have fun, we ask you to respect other guests' and our private spaces. Valhalla is a place to relax, meditate and contemplate nature and we appreciate quietude.

Please be mindful that the Nest is located in a wooded area, and it is usual to find pollen, pine needles, small animals like little frogs, spiders and harmless critters. Despite our best efforts to clean the cobwebs, you may find a few as they are formed every day.

Our cottage is located on Sweetwater Farm nestled in the Cranberry Valley. Private and secluded, adjoining our 40 acres with south-west exposures and valley views. Relaxing and peaceful location on a quiet no-through road. Perfect getaway for couples and families. Located near walking trails; Mt. Erskine out your back door & Mt. Maxwell around the corner. Our cottage only 7 minute drive from the main village of Ganges and all amenities.
Be sure to drop by the farm distillery Sweetwater Distilling Co. - down the road at 360 Toynbee Rd.

- "We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and secluded cottage. The location was incredibly quiet—just what we needed to unwind and recharge. The cottage itself was spotless, with super comfortable beds that made for restful nights. Fiona, our host, went above and beyond—very responsive and thoughtful throughout our visit. We also really appreciated the many amenities, especially the breakfast items that were ready and waiting for us. A true hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!"

This completely renovated private cottage is mid-island close to Cusheon Lake. The oversized windows brings the outdoors in to this newly renovated and well appointed cottage for couples or small families. The cottage sits on a 13 acre property with trails, and orchard/garden, and a pond on the property for you to explore. The bedroom (king sized bed) opens into a sitting room which can also serve as a second bedroom with a fold down sofa bed. The king bed converts to two twin beds making the cottage comfortable for three friends or a couple with children.
The cottage is one level (upper) and parking is on the same elevation making this cottage accessible for those with limited mobility (two steps from ground level to apartment); in addition there is a walk in shower (no tub). The lower level seen in photos is for owners storage and does not access the guest area. An outdoor fire is permissible when dry season fire bans are not in place.

- "The cabin has been rebuilt and and comes complete with all new appliances and comfortable furnishings. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes etal for our two person visit. Highspeed internet totally reliable. My visit was to explore and to become better acquainted with Saltspring with the possibility of making it a new home. The host - Ted lives on the property and was responsive to a couple inquiries I had in regards to the cabin maintenance etcetera. For anyone wishing to either explore or seek some quiet time on Saltspring this unit is ideal. The presence of deer and the odd sheep on the property kept my pup alert and active!"
