- "The basement suite has a very fresh, modern, and clean design, with quality linen, towels and crockery. We had plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children luggage / groceries. Ganges has some "texture" so we felt safe at this place - didn't even lock the car. It is walkable to town (but several hills hot) but better to do a quick drive. There is a nice terrace to use (morning sun). The exterior of the house and property could use some tidy up - but only a very minor distraction from an overall great and comfortable experience. Accommodation on Salt Spring is a challenge, so this was a great find. Restaurants shut early on the island so need to plan ahead as the cooking facilities are only basic (noting they don't advise otherwise), but there is also a BBQ to use. A pleasant stay. "

Parking available, car needed here as we are half way up mountain ridge. Hot tub use provided, Seperate suite with own deck and entrance , kitchenette and small fridge and coffee maker 3 piece bathroom .2 min to main village, ocean view. Also pet friendly as we have a dog.

Morningside Garden Suite is located on the northeast side of Salt Spring Island and enjoys fabulous sunrises as well as views of Trincomali Channel and nearby Galiano Island. It is a short 8 minute drive from Ganges and is serviced by bus transportation. The suite is fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, small appliances, dishes, cookware and utensils. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player and heat pump air conditioning. The private 4 piece bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination and comes with towels and complimentary toiletries. Self catered breakfasts are provided. There are two decks for the suite, both with ocean views and one having a propane barbeque. The property has two ponds with beautiful flower gardens, fruit tress and peaceful sitting areas to enjoy the peace and quiet. There is plenty of private parking and the suite has its own private entrance with coded entry lock for added security. Morningside Garden Suite is attached to the hosts main house but has its own entrance and is secure from the rest of the house. There is one dog on the property, a King Charles Cavalier spaniel (Loki) who is fairly shy but very loveable.

This garden level suite stays cool during the hot summer months, providing a welcome oasis to replenish after island adventures. It's also cozy warm in the winter and is the ideal spot for a remote work getaway.

Out of respect for guests and neighbours, smoking or vaping anywhere on the property is strictly prohibited. The apartment is in a quiet residential area and your hosts live and work in the upstairs apartment with their newborn daughter, tri-pawed pup, and cat. Parties will not be tolerated. Well behaved pets considered for an additional cleaning fee, please message to discuss. Note that while your hosts are quiet, the house is wood construction so there is some minor sound transfer between floors as is typical for wood built homes. Quiet time is from 10pm to 9am and extra effort is made during these times to minimize noise, though with a newborn there will be some sounds they cannot control outside these hours. They have never had a noise complaint from guests, but recognize that some people are more sensitive to sound than others and want to ensure your comfort.

The Eagle Suite is for the budget conscious. It’s warm, comfortable & clean with simple furnishings. Only minutes from town, the 600 squ ft suite has a living room, kitchen & bedroom. There’s tv & movies but the best entertainment is the view. In the evenings you can view star galaxies & early mornings, spectacular sunrises.
The space
This property is a perfect retreat if you’re looking for a quiet escape, away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Yet only minutes from the island’s many attractions.

There’s complimentary coffee & tea and all necessary staples.

Furnishings are simple. & functional. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there’s a fold up bed and/ or a pull out sofa bed for a guest. Please request this when booking

There’s also a tv, dvd and movies. . Lots of games and books too. In warmer months, the deck offers nightly starry skies and a breathtaking view.
If you are a restless sleeper ( hopefully not), head out to the deck to watch the spectacular sunrise.

Unfortunately , this is not a handicap accessible suite. The driveway is steep.

We like to keep guests comfortable and happy while keeping the price as affordable as possible. It’s simple not luxurious.

Eat your meals on the deck. Have an afternoon nap in the hammock. Get the best of it all in bright natural surroundings just a few minutes drive from Ganges. It’s not surprising that birds like nesting here too.

The suite is entirely self contained and is on the lower level of the house. It is not a basement suite. The upper suite is a long term rental.
Other things to note
We regret having to charge a cleaning fee. But none of these services that are normally included in the city, are free.
We pay extra for garbage and recycling and water taxes.

Welcome to The Cottage
Located just 4 minutes South of Ganges, 20 minutes from Fulford Ferry, 10 minutes from Long Harbour Ferry and 15 minutes from Crofton Ferry.
Here you will find an open floor plan, equip with a queen size mattress, fully functioning kitchen with mini fridge, Stove/Oven, Dining table, wood stove, Infrared 2 person Sauna, half bath inside and a gorgeous outdoor shower just out the back door.
Having children ourselves we are happy to provide things such as playpen/crib, stroller, highchair, toys/books etc.
The main house where we live is right beside the cottage. We have children and a very friendly golden retriever. You will most likely see or hear one of us during your stay but we are typically very private.
When you drive down into our property The Cottage is on your right. There is a paved driveway and parking space for one vehicle out front. You will also see our trampoline and garden beds.
At this point we are open to discussion about dogs in the cottage but you may be charged extra or turned away, depending.
NO smoking cigarettes or e-cigs anywhere on our property.
We are a scent sensitive family so all our cleaning products are clean and free of yucky, harmful chemicals.

Morningside Garden Suite is located on the northeast side of Salt Spring Island and enjoys fabulous sunrises as well as views of Trincomali Channel and nearby Galiano Island. It is a short 8 minute drive from Ganges and is serviced by bus transportation. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player as well as internet.
