The guest suite is located on its own private level of an occupied house. The suite is an open concept with cozy and modern design. The entire suite has a custom cedar finishings, hardwood floors, a large rainforest shower overlooking the ocean side, a kitchenette, a BBQ outside on its own private patio. This modern suite is a true west coast experience.

The suite can accommodate 4 people. One luxury queen size bed in the bedroom and a pullout queen size sofa bed in the living room. You can relax and enjoy peace and beauty of the Mather Nature from any corn of the suite.

The kitchen has mini bar fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, hot water kettle, utensils, salt, and pepper, pots, and pans. There is no stove or hot plate in the suite, but there is a BBQ outside on the patio has a side burner for guests to cook.

The guest suite has its own private patio and backyard facing the stunning Howe Sound mountains and ocean.

There is a rocky trail to the end of the property, but no beach access.

We do not offer early check-in or late check-out due to our rigorous cleaning schedule. Please do not ask for an exception. Guests must be off the property before check-in and immediately after check-out and the driveway cannot be blocked any time outside of the booking window.

2 GUESTS MAXIMUM. THERE ARE NO PETS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. No exceptions for emotional support animals. Due to the steep nature of the terrain, we do not allow guests to explore the cliffs above the Airstream. NO CHILDREN UNDER 12. The driveway and parking area are video monitored for safety and security.

We live on the north side of the same property and are always available to our guests; however, once you check in, you will feel like you're in your own world.

Other things to note:

Please be aware: there is no commercial ridesharing or public transit on the island from Snug Cove to the Airstream. A car is recommended, but you can also rent an e-bike or enjoy the walk (about 45 minutes). Once you reach the property, the foot trail to the Airstream is approximately 100m with an elevation gain of 15m on graded gravel.

The space
Our studio suite is accessed by a private entry gate leading to your own exterior mountain view patio with a fire pit, propane fire ring (when required) and full Broil King BBQ. An outdoor dining table and chairs and comfy patio loungers are included for your use.

The 540 sq ft suite is located in the lower level of our home. However, it is situated under our home office, so noise from above is not a concern. It is lovely and cool in the hot months and is best suited for a single or couple, but can accommodate three if required. Please call to discuss special arrangements.

Inside - 10 foot ceilings and large clerestory windows, a full kitchen with plug-in appliances and all that you need to be creative for inside dining or out. Three piece bath with tub/shower. King size bed that can be converted into two king twins upon request and a convertible sofa for one (or a couple of small ones) with extra bedding. Full black-out curtains. Big screen TV with internet Chromecast connection and free WiFi.

A continental breakfast is included at your pace, ahead of time, in the suite. Coffee, assorted teas, milk and cream. Granola, cereal, muffins, toast or Belgium waffles with syrup, butter and jam.

FYI - the Stanley Arms B&B is about a 20 minute drive to Snug Cove (ferry location) where the only grocery stores, liquor agency (General Store) and cold beer and wine store are located on the Island. Please remember to stop and get what you desire to save more coveted Island Time! We look forward to welcoming you!

Seaview Cottage is cozy and romantic, perfect for a getaway weekend or longer. Located on Cates Hill, Bowen Island, it has a fabulous view of Snug Cove, Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains.

The neighbourhood is generally quiet and peaceful and there is a nice outdoor space for you to sit and enjoy.

Please note that we do not allow any pets in Seaview Cottage.

The space
The carriage house is located on a beachfront property with a roomy parking spot right beside the entrance, a private deck, and personal green space. Yoga, anyone? It is adjacent to a creek in a quiet, forested neighbourhood just steps to the secluded beach. The suite has vaulted ceilings and lots of windows (all screened) for an open, airy feeling. It also features high end finishing, wide plank solid oak floors, and a brand new king size bed with comfy pillows, crisp 100% cotton sheets, and a goose down duvet with a soft linen cover.

There is a full length mirror, rainfall shower, complimentary spa slippers, an iron and ironing board, dedicated high speed wifi, and a 40” TV with Netflix. The kitchenette features a Le Creuset french press for coffee, Salt Spring Island organic dark roast coffee beans, electric coffee grinder, fresh coffee cream, electric kettle, a variety of Stash herbal teas, microwave, toaster, hot plate, a mini fridge with freezer (for ice AND ice cream!), and a pantry stocked with essentials.

We have a no pet policy and smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. We use only unscented laundry soap and provide scent free shampoo and body wash so that those with sensitivities or allergies can relax and breathe in only the fresh air of the forest… and the ocean breezes!

The interior of the charming suite comes with two comfy easy chairs with foot rests, marine binoculars for viewing wildlife, games, puzzles, playing cards, books, an acoustic guitar, battery powered candles, brochures with info about activities and popular hikes, and a private deck with outdoor wicker chairs, bistro table, and a long wooden bench. We also provide beach towels, a roomy beach bag, and sunscreen for your time at the beach.

The path from the carriage house takes you down to a secluded beach. Please use caution on the path as the steps are irregular and can be slippery when wet. PLEASE NOTE: If you plan on swimming while visiting the carriage house, swim shoes or Teva type sandals are recommended. At low tide, there are lots of barnacles! The tide changes twice a day. You can check the tide levels by googling Bowen Island tide chart. Low tide makes for a big beach and high tide means a small beach.

Gaze at the stars as you fall asleep listening to the waves and wake up to the songs of birds. Time to relax and unwind. You are on island time!

The carriage house is a ten minute drive from the ferry and the entire suite, private deck, green space, and parking spot are reserved just for you during your stay. A two minute walk down a winding path takes you to a gorgeous, secluded beach. Go for a refreshing swim, watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee, or just take in the spectacular view while keeping your eye out for deer, sea lions, seals, sea otters, eagles, cormorants, oyster catchers, great blue herons, orcas, or a humpback whale…or two!

Enjoy the beauty of the ocean, mountains, and forest view. The island is home to LOTS of deer and in the springtime, you may also even see some adorable spotted fawns.

There is so much to do on Bowen Island! You can take a short walk to the meadow or enjoy a longer hike around Killarney Lake (my personal favourite)…both located in Crippen Park…or drive to Cape Roger Curtis and take a short hike down from the end of Lighthouse Lane to view the lighthouse! For more of a workout, you can hike Mount Gardner (see hiking brochure in suite for more details about hikes on Bowen). There are no bears on Bowen but you may encounter deer, owls, squirrels, or a harmless garter snake as you explore the trails. Afterwards, you can go for a refreshing swim at one of our many beaches (our very own Secret Beach, Bowen Bay beach, September Morn beach, and Cate’s Bay beach are my personal favourites). You can also visit the local shops (Squirrel, Out of the Blue, Narwhal, etc) in the cove or walk up the path to Artisan Square to discover even more shops (Seabird, Wren Clothing, Tosh, Bowen Island Flower Shop, etc). The square is also home to Artisan Eats, an art gallery filled with the work of local artisans, a cool vintage store, an art therapy and creativity studio, Cocoa West Chocolatier (where you can indulge in handmade artisanal chocolates and gelato), and more!

We also have two grocery stores on the island. You will love the Ruddy on Bowen grocery store which carries organic everything along with the island’s delicious local produce!

Foodies (aren’t we all?) can dine in (or order take out) at any of the amazing restaurants in the cove. You could also try the oh so fresh tacos and specialty ice cream at the Branch on Bowen or fresh baked croissants and coffee at Tell Your Friends Cafe. These two eateries are located on the ferry dock with quaint outdoor tables where you can watch the sailboats, kayakers, and the Bowen ferry come and go. Maybe you would prefer to order hearty sandwiches at the Snug Cafe for an impromptu picnic in the park. The tapas at the Barcelona are amazing and dinner at the Tuscany Italian Restaurant (oh, the mushroom ravioli!) is delicious! The Tuscany is very popular and does not accept walk ins in the summer months. Make sure to reserve your table online early!

You can always drop by the Bowen Island Pub or Doc Morgan’s restaurant (with a marina view) for a great meal as well.

For the adventurous, you can rent kayaks at Bowen Island Sea Kayaking or rent e-bikes or golf carts from Bowen e-Bikes (use discount code CARRIAGE at Bowen e-Bikes for 10% off). You can treat yourself to a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience (sauna and cold plunge) at Mist Thermal Sanctuary or for a fun, quirky adventure, Google ‘hiking with goats bowen island’ and book a hike with two adorable goats. It really is a thing! You can book it through Airbnb. (NOTE: Not all activities are available in the winter months).

In the evening, you can stroll along the docks in the marina, watch the sunset on Bowen Bay Beach, or just chill in your cozy suite. We are sure that you will have an absolutely amazing time on our enchanting little island on the Salish Sea!

Cabana 2 and the 2 bedroom suite can all be rented together, and accomodate 8-10 people. Enjoy the local golf course and Acre within walking distance. Hike from the property, swim off the rocks below, or relax and enjoy the views above the ocean in the Sauna with amazing storm watching in the winter and fall.

The space
These are stand alone structures with loft style bedroom overlooking the Ocean with views of Vancouver and UBC. The main floor has a small living space, kitchenette and bathroom with a shower. There is also an outdoor shower, and private deck space right outside your front door.

The Cabana is stand alone. There is a private deck space out front approx 200sqft and a shared deck space out front the two Cabanas.

Other things to note
Age restriction is minimum age 25 yr old for booking this property.
There are stairs leading to the entrance as well as stairs required to get to the loft bedroom.
The Cabana has a Kitchenette, it includes a toaster oven, a hot plate, coffee maker and microwave as well as a BBQ outside. We've included, pots, pans, seasonings and as many things we could think of that will make it as easy as possible to cook without a full stove. The fridge has a small freezer, and is smaller than an average fridge. We have excellent wifi and the TV is a smart TV.
