This luxurious modern log cabin is nestled in the Alpine forest. It features intimate spaces for reading and relaxing as well as large group gathering areas, perfect for family dinners and game nights. Main cabin accommodations include 4 bedrooms: Primary bedroom (king), bedrooms 2 and 3 (BR2-King bed and BR3-Queen bed), bedroom 4 (full), Loft area (twin size trundle bed). Each Main Cabin bathroom has granite counter tops with granite shower surrounds. A 3 Bedroom, 2 Full bath, 1560 sq/ft, 2 floor cabin nestled in old pine/oak/aspen forest with US forest access for hiking at the rear of the property. FYI we have no internet or WiFi. Most phones have 3-4 bar service. The cabin is on a 1.1 acre parcel. Each bedroom has a new Serta Perfect Sleeper Queen bed. There is also a two sleeper sofas (Queen and double) and a cot available. The cabin was built in 1968 and has that old warm cabin charm. Windows abound to view the forest and wildlife from where ever you sit. There is also a fire pit in the front yard and can be used if there is no fire restrictions.
There is a beautiful covered porch in front with seating to enjoy your morning coffee with the humming birds, deer, elk, squirrels, Stellar Jays and Woodpeckers. FYI you are in the woods and there are lots of critters. We do have occasion to have a few spiders in the house it is unavoidable in the woods. We do spray for them and bomb under the house which keeps them down.
Yes, we will have a package of coffee, sugar and creamer for you(under most circumstances) below the coffee pot. We have a bumper pool table that “triples” as a card, and dining table. In the mud room you will find a foosball table for hours of fun. We have a propane BBQ and a Teager smoker! The large dining table accommodates up to 10.
A wood burning stove in the kitchen provides quick heating along with a huge living room fire place. There is also electric heat. Once warm, the cabin stays that way.
There is a washer and dryer on premises in the mud room. Please feel free to use them to wash your clothes or towels if needed. We have soap and dryer sheets all unscented. The machine is a High Efficiency and requires very little soap because our water is very soft and the machine can over suds. During cold months where freezing temperatures are expected the washer will be winterized and is not to be used. The freeze will break the pipes and pump in the washer. A note will be left on the washer door indicating it has been winterized. The dryer can be used though.
Wildlife abounds in the area with several lakes are within a 15 minute drive for trout fishing. Hunters are welcome! The Black river also runs year round for great fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing. Alpine is an excellent area for cross country skiing or snow shoeing - so bring your gear. Toboggan Hill is just around the corner on Big Lake road. There are a few sleds at the cabin under the porch along with some bicycles. We have a pump if the tires need air.
The cabin has many board games, horse shoe pit, tetherball, foose ball table, soccer ball and a giant Jenga for playing with the whole family as well a huge collection of videos to watch.
The cabin, being built in 1968 is a little noisy and sound does travel. Fans are in each room for circulation and noise reduction. We have just put new laminated flooring in and it is beautiful! The bedrooms have skylights with shutters if you like it dark.
There are two mud rooms. There is a double sleeper sofa in the side mud room.

NO PETS ALLOWED!
Smoking and vaping is allowed outside only. Please do not throw your butts in the yard it could cause a fire. A coffee can painted red on the porch will be provided. Please empty it prior to leaving. No Vaping is allowed in the house. Quiet Time starts at 10pm. Neighbors sleep with the windows open so we ask you to move inside at that time so that you do not disturb their sleep.
We are on a septic system so please do not put anything but toilet paper in the toilet; feminine hygiene products (tampons) condoms or wet wipe do not go in the toilet. These products do not break down and will cause a back up.
There is no recycling in Alpine, if you wish to recycle bring it home with you please. On Tuesday evening bring all your trash to the blue trash can along the driveway. Then place the can on the road so it can be picked up on Wednesday. After pick up please replace the trash can back to where you found it. Thank you!
The driveway is not real steep but it is long. If you are renting in the winter and the driveway needs to be plowed due to high snow, then the fee for plowing of the driveway is $150 each time the driveway needs to be plowed. 4 wheel drive is also recommended during the winter. We are not responsible if you cannot get up to the house due to snow and ice.

Raven House is an experience you will remember! This beautiful, custom, all-black, modified A-frame cabin offers so much. From luxury and comfort to adventure and wildlife - you will see stunning views of the National Forest and surrounding mountains. Elk and deer visit the property frequently! Make sure to grab your morning coffee and watch them from one of the decks or large windows throughout the house. The front deck is great for games, meals or storytelling around the fire. A balcony in the rear lets you watch the snowfall while sipping cocoa. Don’t forget your hiking boots, fishing poles, swimming suits, canoes, mountain bikes or snowboards! Not an adventurer? Curl up in one of the hammocks with a blanket and a good book, but don’t be alarmed by all the quiet! There are plenty of wildlife sounds and fresh air to keep you company.

The House:
This 3 bedroom, 2 and a half bathroom is a beautiful, charming cabin built in 2024. Sitting on over a half-acre filled with large Ponderosa Pine and Oak trees, Raven House offers king, queen and full beds. Features include a bunk room designed for adults, but perfect for kids, a hangout loft and second story working space with a view, a large kitchen and island great for large meals and a dining area with seats for 10 people. A great room with 30-foot ceilings has one entire wall made of windows. It is the perfect place to curl up next to the fireplace heater and watch a movie on the smart TV. The house has central air and heat for comfort and a master suite, another fireplace heater, large shower and soaking tub.

The area:
Alpine is one of the most beautiful places in Arizona and also one of the best kept secrets. We are less than one mile from some great local bars and restaurants, the historic general store and the sweet shop. Lakes, hiking trails, horseback riding, ATV trails also close by and we are less than one hour from Sunrise Ski Resort where you an enjoy skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. Visit Hannagan Meadow or drive the amazing Three Forks Trail for a picnic at Big Lake. You can also catch a movie in Springville at the El Rio – the oldest theater in the state or visit the unique R Lazy J Safari Zoo in Eagar.

Winter Months: Snow is common. Vehicles that have AWD, 4x4 and FWD can get to the house fairly easily. RWD vehicles have a more difficult time when the roads are icy. Make sure to use Peter Lane to access the home. The roads are paved and plowed between snow storms, so you will most likely be fine. The driveway to the home is sloped and compact with gravel. When ice is present, DO NOT attempt to drive up the driveway if you do not have 4-Wheel Drive. You can park at the bottom of the driveway or on the street.

The cabin is studio style and features 1 king size bed, a kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area with a sofa for relaxing. The kitchen provides a compact stove/oven, fridge, and microwave. A coffee maker and liners are also provided, just bring your favorite coffee! The kitchen provides minimal cookware, such as pots, mixing bowls, plates, cups and mugs, silverware, and cooking utensils.

As you enter the home, the great room offers ample seating to enjoy the large flagstone fireplace, ideal for chilly evenings and s’mores.

The kitchen has high-quality granite countertops and backsplash, a 6-burner Jenn-Air gas stove, a Jenn-Air Quiet dishwasher, a Jenn-Air oven, and a microwave. The attractive copper sink is an excellent choice due to its antimicrobial properties. You'll find the full-size washer and dryer conveniently located in the kitchen as well. Just next to the kitchen, there's a lovely bar area that features a wine fridge and another charming copper sink. This is where we get to unwind and savor some delicious coffee and refreshments at the bar. The back patio, easily accessible from the kitchen, is an excellent spot where we enjoy grilling with our Weber charcoal grill. For added convenience, a Traeger smoker is also tucked away in the greenhouse, just off the garage, making it easy to prepare delicious meals.

The master bedroom is downstairs, while the loft with a queen bed is upstairs. Access the loft via a fully secure wooden ladder! The loft isn’t enclosed, so please consider this when booking.

Our location is in Tal Wi Wi, just 4 miles north of Alpine, at an elevation of 8,200 feet. Alpine has some great dining options; The Foxfire restaurant—definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a nice dinner or a fun night dancing to a live band!

Are you into fishing streams or lakes? That’s why we chose this location—to enjoy the widest variety! Interested in exploring? There are many trails and dirt roads, so be sure to pack a lunch. Enjoy hiking by exploring the many nearby trails—choose the one that excites you most! And if snowmobiling sounds fun, we've got the deepest snow for lots of enjoyment. Quaint Country Cabin is 1 of 5 cabins that are scattered among 5 acres of tall pines where each cabin is situated in its own little locale with plenty of space in between each cabin. The cabin is studio style and features 2 full beds, a kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area with a sofa for relaxing. The kitchen provides a compact stove/oven, fridge, and microwave. A coffee maker and liners are also provided, just bring your favorite coffee! The kitchen provides minimal cookware, such as pots, mixing bowls, plates, cups and mugs, silverware, and cooking utensils.

Other things to note
This particular cabin is a duplex. So although you get the entire cabin to yourself, there may be guests in the room next door. Think of it more like a motel or lodge. Nonetheless, this cabin is secure, cozy and inviting! Plus, there is an additional bedroom with a queen bed for more room, message me for availability.

Neither we nor our dog have ever done any damage and I feel like we are being forced to subsidize younger renters who are holding parties and damaging property.. We have traveled a great deal and this is a new unwelcome first for us. Be aware that the amount charged with all the add ons is far greater than the amount advertised."
