This 6 bedroom home has plenty of quality living & gathering space. There is a large living area on all 3 floors. Ideally suited for one large or multiple families. The basement features a bar, ping pong & dart room. Large deck & fire pit. Close to Spruce Meadows. The property handles large groups very well. It is often rented by multiple families coming to town for vacations or weddings. There is lots of room for both those who need to be social and those who want peace and quiet. The property is a farm home that had undergone a complete renovation in 2016.
The property has 3 floors.
1. Main floor has a kitchen, living area, common bathroom, one bedroom and one master with ensuite. This floor is great for early risers or individuals with mobility restrictions.
2. 2nd floor has a great living room, small office and coffee/sink area. There is a master that shares an ensuite with a kids bedroom. This is the nicest floor and is generally taken by the person booking. It is also the quietest and the best suited for a family with young children
3. Walkout Basement has 2 bedrooms, a small bar and a games room with ping pong and darts. There is also a full TV and sofa. There is a secret "fort' for kids under the bed with a twin mattress.
The fire pit, hot tub and 2 decks are on the back of the property. It is a great space and private from the view of others. It is still worth noting that 250m through the forest is a family home that can hear excessive noise after hours even though you can't see them.
The property is indeed awesome to have a reasonable get together for groups up to 16. It isn't suitable for weddings or other large gatherings.

I am one of those people who likes to find peace near water. If you are too, then visit this adorable cottage resting along the delightful Sheep River. I enjoyed visiting this place so much that I want to come back again and again. It is a nice place!
This gem is so close to Calgary and Okotoks, it makes impromptu getaways a reality. Less than an hour from Calgary, 15 minutes from Okotoks and 5 minutes from Turner Valley, it's an easy escape to indulge at.
With spectacular outdoor beauty, this property offers quietness and serenity, allowing one to be lost in nature.
The cottage itself is sparkling clean and has all the amenities one needs.
With one queen bed in the bedroom and two queen sofa-beds in the living room, the cottage sleeps six . From the master bedroom you can listen to the river whisper deep into the night!
Three additional sleeping pods, each with a queen bed, sleep another six. The pods are available at $150/per pod for the duration of your stay (not per night!). I highly recommend the pods! They are fantastic and allow additional privacy for guests.

The huge, oversized deck, fire pit and massive lawns create spaces for both relaxation and fun activities.

I imagine this will be noticed less in the warmer seasons as the vegetation will create separation but in the colder months, it's very apparent. All of this said, I enjoyed my stay and will hope to visit again - just with different expectations. My goal with this review is to help others have realistic expectations."

This beautiful property is embedded with ranch history. What was once home to the Robertson’s, became the very large and well known Turner Valley Ranch in the 70’s and then the Bar N in the 90’s. This log-building was either home to the cow boss’ family or the the bunk-house for the cowboys working the ranch.
The home has been preserved to reflect the cowboy life. With 2900sqft of aged, rustic wood throughout, tongue and groove wood ceilings, excellent views, 5 spacious bedrooms, two large living areas, a wood burning fireplace, a full kitchen, a large 10-person dinning area, two full baths, one half bath, a large mudroom, tucked away kids play-area and sweeping views of the valley and historic red barn, this property has many stories to tell.
Located at the foothills of Kananaskis, you are mere minutes away from hiking, trail riding or snowshoeing the Sheep River Falls, Sandy Mcnabb or Blue Rock trails. Amenities of the small town of Diamond Valley are 6 minutes away, with locally-owned grocery stores, outdoor pools and award-winning restaurants, breweries and the Eau Claire distillery for a fun day out. The ranch is 90 minutes from Banff area and a 45 minute drive to Calgary’s inner-city or Stampede grounds. For a small fee, we can accommodate horse-lovers who wish to board their horses and park their horse trailer during their stay (please contact us directly for horse arrangements prior to booking).

Guests who would like to bring their horses and horse trailer for their stay are welcome. Our ranch is located 7 minutes from Kananaskis and all the scenic trails it has to offer, please ask us about our horse boarding options prior to booking.
Parking is available on the driveway around the ranch house. Tents, campers, or trailers aside from guests bringing their horses are not permitted on the property.
We love all animals but we are a working ranch, and to help keep all of our animals calm and happy we have a NO PET policy during your stay.
Our ranch is on a water well and septic system, although there is lots of water available we ask that guests are mind full of their water usage to not stress the system. Only toilet paper is safe to put down the toilets. Kleenex, feminine products and all other items are to be put in the garage cans provided in the bathrooms.
Parties, photo shoots or events of any kind are not permitted.
Smoking and vaping is NOT aloud on our property.
Only the number of guests specified in your reservation are permitted on the property and aloud to stay overnight. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and the full cost of the rental will be forfeited if unspecified guests are on the property.
We ask that our guests put all garbage in the provided bin in the boot room of the ranch house as to not attract unwanted four legged friends.

Step into a vintage explosion at Farm Two53, one of Alberta's few remaining Mid-Century Modern country mansions nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Our 80 acre regenerative ag farm is located along the highway between Millarville and Okotoks, a convenient 15 min. drive south of Calgary city limits and a 10 min. drive west of Okotoks, where all kinds of amenities await.
The 1951 mansion is divided into three distinct spaces, each named after the two sisters who built it - the north wing (Enid), the central structure (Iva, where we live), and the south wing, an indoor swimming pool.
We are delighted to offer Enid's space - the beautifully restored North wing of the mansion that exudes vintage charm - and the outdoor wood burning hot tub and sauna. Enid offers guests a welcoming retreat that comfortably sleeps four guests. You'll have access to two cozy bedrooms with a king and queen bed, a living room with a TV, a dining area for four, and a kitchen fully equipped with all the essentials.
You won't want to miss out on experiencing the unique nostalgic charm of the Enid's interior. The furnishings and accessories are mostly vintage, giving you a glimpse into the past with perfectly imperfect wood floors, carefully selected vintage furniture (all steam cleaned and ready for your use), as well as classic collections of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books for you to peruse. From the delightful morning sound of freshly brewed coffee percolating on our 1952 stovetop to the gorgeous vintage glassware to sip from later in the day - we're sure you'll feel right at home on the farm.
Did we mention the new outdoor Alumitub wood-fired hot tub, the galvanized cold plunge troughs (2), and the outdoor cedar Finnish sauna? Yep, we have those too.
In addition to the restored spaces, we're pleased to offer a special bonus area to our guests. Our 700 square foot fireside lounge and 800 square foot outdoor patio (includes outdoor dining area) with stunning mountain views are yours to enjoy as part of your booking - completely free of charge! Fun fact - the fireplace lounge and outdoor patio were shared spaces utilized by both Enid and Iva during their time here. Belly-up to the original button-tufted bar or head out to the patio for a game on the vintage shuffleboard table, either way, you won't be disappointed. While we plan to offer these areas as an add-on in the future, they are currently included in the listing price as a token of appreciation for your understanding as we continue the restoration process.

We have a washer and dryer in a shared space, if you'd like to make use of it just let us know and we'll be sure it's available for you.

Details worth mentioning:
Parking is available on the left hand side of the driveway in front of the mansion. Tents, campers, or trailers (aside from guests bringing their horses) are not permitted on the property.
We love having children stay with us, but please be aware that we are a working farm with animals and bodies of water (seasonal creek & ponds) that can be dangerous at times. Therefore, CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES. And just a head's up - our farmhouse is not childproofed, and we do not provide cribs or baby gates.
You are welcome to explore our walking/cross country skiing trails, but please do not enter barns or fenced areas with livestock. If you're interested in learning more about our regenerative ag/permaculture farm practices and how we grow and raise much of our own food, please ask us about arranging a farm tour (approximately 1 hour long for an additional cost). Skating on our pond may be possible depending on the time of year; please check with us first to ensure it's safe to do so.
Guests are not permitted to host parties, photo/video shoots, or events of any kind. Use your favourite search engine (search Farm Two53) to inquire about photo shoots.
Our entire property is strictly non-smoking/vaping. A $300 plus 5% GST fee will be charged if it has been determined there was smoking/vaping inside or outside the farmhouse.
To avoid any confusion, we'd like to clarify that only the number of guests (including children) specified in your initial reservation are permitted on the property and allowed to stay overnight. If additional guests arrive at any time during your stay than originally stated in your reservation, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation immediately and the full cost of your accommodation rental will be forfeited.
Although we welcome guests with horses, we have implemented a no-pet policy for our guests' farm stays. Although we love pets, we are a working farm with several animals, and it will keep the peace for the animals that call the farm “home.” Thanks for your understanding.

There is no microwave so adjust your meal plans accordingly. The bedrooms are also cosy and the beds are very comfortable. Communication with Travis is excellent. While the location is in the country, it is easily accessible and a short drive to Okotoks and Millarville and approximately 25 minutes to Diamond Valley and to many good hikes in Kananaskis country. Sleeps 4 in the 1-bedroom configuration (pullout bed in the living room), there is a 2nd bedroom available for a fee. 20 min from the mountains. The suite is a cozy one-room, above-garage studio. It includes a queen bed, sofa, and dining area.
Connected to the studio is a combined washing room and wee kitchenette with a shower, full laundry, mini-fridge, microwave, and hotplate. This room is shared with my family, and I ensure privacy by closing and locking our access when guests are with us.

Up to 3 Bedrooms for rental (Sleeps up to 6-people). The price is per room. We welcome you, your family and/or friends to our Diamond Valley Parrot-Cove Lodge. Whether you’re working away from home, visiting family or friends, or just coming out this way to enjoy all the amenities that we have to offer.
You will have access to our front door (your private code will be given on the day of arrival) and it opens up to our main floor with a large living room that faces the front of the house with a beautiful morning sunshine, down the hall, past the half washroom, there is an open area family room with a gas fireplace and a full-body massage chair. This room is shared with our Parrot named Fred and gentle dog named Bear.
There is also a formal dining room should you wish to dine in a more private and setting, and/or another large bright eating area set for six, off the owner’s family kitchen, facing the backyard and open field.
From there you will go down to the newly 3 renovated comfortable bedrooms – (Sleeps 6) 1-King, 1-Queen & 1 Double Bed full of fresh linens, pillows, and a place for you to hang or fold your clothes during your stay, a full bathroom with fresh linens, and your fully stocked guest kitchen for all your basic needs as well as another dine-in area within. (Discounts given to booking of 2 or more bedrooms)
There is a semi-private large backyard that seats six comfortably around the patio table as well as other sitting areas, including around a beautiful fire stove that is always a fan favorite at night. We invite you to bring your own firewood or you’re welcome to give us a heads up and we’ll be sure to have some on hand for purchasing, if available. The backyard opens from the gate out into an open field where you will often see deer roaming about.
The front of the house has another seating area too that welcomes the sunshine to sit and enjoy your morning coffee.
This is a family home, and we’d like to invite you to stay as your home away from home. Nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, our lodge is like your home away from home. It brings peaceful and convenience together. From the many local attractions to the skiing, hiking, and biking… we have it all! Only 10-minutes to Kananaskis and approximately 40-minutes to the Calgary Tower.
We have many local artists, venders, and markets with all the amenities you need right here. Groceries, coffee, liquor, dine in/out breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our local Chuckwagon restaurant has been featured on the TV Show; “You Gotta Eat Here”. There are several other local farms to table restaurants providing extra care for allergies and preferences. Okotoks is only 20-minutes away for all your other needs.
Our historic area has been known for years for the local talent at our jam sessions and live music venues. We even have Karaoke for those that wish to sing to an audience. It’s always a special treat to see people at the Tim Hortons drive through on horseback while sitting around a fire at the local brewery and watching and singing along with the live band!
Established in 1929 there is a long history here. The Sheep River weaves through town and is a great place to cool down in the summer as well as being a world class fly-fishing river. There is a paved trail connecting these two historic towns (Black Diamond and Turner Valley) overlooking the first gas plant in Canada, which is seasonally open for tours. We bring the best of both worlds together… surrounded by beautiful golf courses, mountains, ski resorts, and historic villages. This is where movies are made. This is the old wild west, preserved in perfection.
Together with its history, we bring in a new era with the old. The local speak easy and Eau Clair distillery provides a prohibition experience tour that has a story to tell, new and old. Likewise, Fahr Brewery has claimed six World Beer Awards over the past four years and have a local Oktoberfest celebration. To top it off we also have an established honey winery called; “Spirit Hills” that is completely original.
We also have campgrounds, outdoor swimming pools, splash parks, a library offering programs and bike rentals. Also, our local legion is open to guests and has a variety of different schedules and events.
