Moose Bottom Cottage - 45 minutes and a million miles from Calgary!
Nestled in a scenic valley, where the limitless expanses of the Prairies wash up against the majestic east wall of the Canadian Rockies, this gorgeous cottage was purposely built for the perfect holiday getaway, vacation or staycation. Privacy and seclusion abound whilst the open setting means that full advantage is made of every hour of sunlight!
Attached and heated garage as well as outdoor parking.
The bright open kitchen, with west facing window is fitted with high end appliances and looks out toward the rolling wooded hills and the peak of Mt Davidson . The same view can be seen through the glass wall of patio doors in the open plan living area. These doors open onto a paved patio area which is partially covered to be enjoyed in all weathers. The patio makes an excellent viewpoint as the ground drops away to the south and west toward seasonal and year round creeks with the lush vegetation providing food for the moose and deer as well as countless birds.
To the east an enclosed porch with huge windows provides the perfect location for morning coffee looking over the lawn and towards the 1/4 acre pond.
At the far end of the living room is a spectacular fireplace set in a full height brick surround with the warmth and relaxed ambience of a fire at the flick of a switch.
The bright and spacious master bedroom with King size bed has a full en-suite with shower and bathtub. There is also a kids bedroom with bunk beds and another bedroom with a Queen bed.
Common bathroom is friendly for wheelchair user. Equipped with heated toilet bidet seat and roll-in shower and sink.
Our family home is 200 metres away, meaning we can provide that perfect mix of privacy and service for our valued guests.
There is 36 acres of natural vegetation for all to explore.
It has easy access to city of Cochrane and Calgary as well as the RockyMountain for hiking, kayaking, skiing etc. Yet the cottage is surrounded by nature, peaceful and beautiful.
Moose Bottom Cottage is 1 hour North East of Canmore, 45 min North West of Calgary, 25 min North of Cochrane with restaurants, theatre and grocery etc.

Grocery shopping in advance is also offered with a surcharge of CAD30 - please give us at least 48 hour notice.

Semi-detached two story backing onto a green space reserve. This gorgeous property has 180 degree mountain views and rolling hills. Granite gas fireplace & 6 person Hot Tub. Maple dovetail kitchen cabinets. New Stainless steel appliances and custom insert gas range. Master bedroom (King) full ensuite, two other large bedrooms (Queens).
Private occupied basement suite walkout not included.
Enjoy the main and upper floor! Warm fire place and tv room. Outdoor fireplace and hot tub. Brand new beds and linen. Guests have full private access to the house, front yard and backyard. The hot tub is privately reserved for guests enjoyment.

Welcome to our amazing suite! Our renovated basement suite is a hidden gem, featuring stylish stair lights, a Pac-Man arcade, private laundry, a color-changing fireplace, two beautiful bedrooms, smart TVs with Netflix and a spacious living room.
The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals. Please note that everything is separate except for the shared entrance. Book now for an unforgettable stay in our perfect home away from home!

You can access everything in the basement except our storage underneath the stairs as you come down your unit.
Other things to note
The shared space is the main door access mud room. Two lockable doors separate the units. Most likely you will never see us but it is to note we share an entrance with each other. You may hear the footsteps from our golden retrievers.

CLEANING: Although we do not charge a guest cleaning fee, we thoroughly clean between bookings. The suite is vacuumed, mopped, and cleaned with Lysol and Fuzion disinfectant . We do ask that you clean up after yourselves to help us out :)
LEGALITIES: We adhere to all safety codes and fire regulations, and are in full compliance with all legal and business standards and requirements. Business licence: 0008205
KIDS: Traveling with children? We have you covered! Baby and toddler essentials can also be provided, including items such as a travel crib, toys, children's plates/cups, a high chair, baby bathtub, etc. These items can be found in the storage room, kitchen cabinets or in the bedroom under the bed. We welcome our young friends, so please contact us if there is anything else you require to help make them more comfortable. Note that although we provide child safety locks for some of the kitchen cabinets, not all will have them as they cannot all be locked with a non-permanent lock. It is ultimately your responsibility to keep your children safe.
ANIMALS: We are dog friendly (1 dog max), but we are not set up for cats; please stay elsewhere if you are traveling with a cat. Enquire about other kinds of pets - we may be able to accommodate. Please do not book our suite if you have pet allergies. Although we do our best to clean between bookings, stray dog hairs may enter the suite through the ventilation system (the host family includes two doggos). Pets are not allowed on the furniture. Bedding/pillows/cushions/couch that are covered in dog hair will incur an additional $75 charge as it takes an additional 1.5 hours to manually lint roll all the hair out of each layer of bedding, etc.
OTHER ANIMALS: Please be aware that the hosts own 2 dogs (an Australian Shepherd and a Boxer). The dogs do not have access to the suite, but will have access to the backyard. Cochrane is also home to wild animals which may venture near the property from time to time (deer, cougars, bears, coyotes, etc.).
CAMERA DISCLOSURE: We have a Ring doorbell camera set up by our front door that can view guests walking by to the backyard, where the suite entrance is located (it records audio and video upon detecting motion). There are no other cameras. There is a glass-breaking sensor in the suite by the entry door, which will alert our alarm company if there is a break-in. This is an abundance of over-precaution, however, as our community is very safe :)
NOISE: we live in a quiet neighbourhood with respectful neighbours and no yappy dogs around, though you may hear neighbouring dogs (or the host’s dogs) from time to time. We have young children and you may hear them here and there as well, though they are quiet for the most part and any sounds are quite minimal due to the 3 layers of sound board we installed in the suite’s ceiling. On windy days you may also hear our neighbour’s wind chimes, and in construction season, you may hear some construction noises (far off).

A cozy bright walkout basement suite just a short drive away from beautiful Banff,canmore,Bragg Creek and kananaski! This basement suite has everything you need and more. Full kitchen ,relaxing living room to kick up your feet with a large 42 inch tv. A spa like experience awaits in the bathroom with the rainshower head ,dimmable lights and heated floors to help you unwind.

NB, while it feels light and not at all closed in, it’s still a ‘basement’ suite in the sense that you will hear as assortment of paws and little feet above you (that was all I was aware of—it’s not a case of hearing every dish clank or the TV, for ex). Small hanging bar w/ a few hangers was perfect for me—but if you’re more than one person, you’ll want to be ok with living out your suitcases (no closet or dresser).
