The cabin has two floors, with a loft space that features two queen beds and a washroom. The main floor houses a second bedroom with a queen bed. The beds are complimented by high-quality, luxurious linen and pillows to ensure a good night’s sleep.

-There is another cabin being built in the vicinity. You may see workers during the day with minimal sound going on. This work is being coordinated by the chalet`s management.

-Please note that due to the cabin`s remote location, WiFi signal strength may be limited at times.

- Power washing and staining of all cabins will take place from September 15 to October 15.

Property was pliéed to make it easy to get in and out of considering the large amounts of snow that were accumulating. However, many of our visitors are just as content to sit back and relax and let the cares of the modern world slip away. When visiting us, since we are so centrally located, you have the option as to how you spend your holiday.

When you are staying with us, your Chalet consists of a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a full kitchen including dishwasher and microwave, a bathroom with shower, TV, and a gas fireplace. The upstairs loft contains a queen-size bed, two single beds, a large soaker tub and 1/2 bath. Each unit offers a private entrance and covered deck with gas BBQ, fire pit, patio table and chairs.

We went to the suggested spots- the Burgess Shale Hike, which was one of the trip highlights, Emerald Lake, and the Skybridge at Golden. But if you just want to relax and enjoy the splendor of the mountains and rivers you can sit on the front porch of our chalet and marvel at the majestic Chancellor Peak and the Ottertail Mountain Range located directly in front of the cabin. This personally owned chalet is located right in the middle of the Canadian Rockies with easy access off the Trans Canada Highway. We are located 30 kilometers (17 miles) west of Field, British Columbia. Calgary, Alberta is the closest major city with air service, and is about a 2 1/2 hour drive to the chalet. World famous Banff and Lake Louise are located approximately an hour away. To the west, Golden, BC is only 20 minutes away and offers full services.

The cabin was part of the Chancellor Peak Chalets group but the owner decided to upgrade his cabin to give it that extra touch. You still have access to the basic services provided by Chancellor Peak Chalets with some additional features not available to the other cabins in the development.

Most cabins for rent in the area are small one room cabins with one bed and little else. Our chalet is over 1,100 square feet of spacious living including a full kitchen and an upper loft. The cabin has a full bathroom on the main floor as well as a half bath and soaker tub in the loft.

The cabin can sleep six people comfortably (maximum 4 adults, 2 children). The master bedroom is located on the main floor and the upper loft has a queen bed and two single beds.

The chalet is privately owned. As a result it is not subject to the usual 7% sales tax other hotel operators in British Columbia must charge. This is an off the top discount of $20 or more per night.

There was information on hikes and the local parks. The furniture was comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well but we didn’t try the tv and can’t comment on it. The bathroom and kitchen were clean but we found some trash from past guests in the downstairs bedroom side table drawer (a bottle of whiskey lol) and under it on the floor."

Our newly renovated Superior Jacuzzi Suite features a two person jacuzzi tub, a kitchen and a river rock gas fireplace. There is a locally hand made queen bed in the master bedroom and the secondary bedroom downstairs offers a queen bed and full bath with walk in shower, along with a queen pull out sofa in the living area for sleeping up to 6 people. These suites are top floor, end units in our Elk Lodge located along Baker Creek.There are two private decks with outdoor seating, for your perfect mountain life.

Baker Creek Mountain Resort's newly renovated Queen Cabin features a fully refreshed custom log and reclaimed wood interior with a kitchenette, and is the perfect space for a couple. The cabin features a jacuzzi tub, and the living area features a river rock wood burning fireplace. There is a custom made queen bed. A private deck with outdoor seating is also available for your perfect cabin life. Relax around one of our communal fire pits located on the banks of the beautiful Baker Creek.

- "Quiet place to get away from it all. No TV, internet is spotty (which keeps you off of it) and trails to walk to the river and look for wildlife. We were there in March 2024 and the snow was melting, the temp was 15 degrees C and the sun was out. I would go again."
