- "Well... so far is a good experience. location is 1 hours 30 minutes from Lake Louise, we almost want to cancel because we are not expecting that far. but ended up we continued to stay. It is quite and Max is very helpful with all what we need. Location is in Golden BC, but its a nice view on the way to cabin. make sure not driving in the night or dark time. Bring your own food for dinner or bfast. No restaurant surrounding. " - "A lovely privats cabin within quiet, stunning scenery. The cabin had many features in their kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms - including a wood stove (firewood available for sale). Stairs/ladder up to bedrooms will be problematic for those with mobility issues. But bring all your insect repellant and groceries (incl freezer packs as there is no freezer) as it's a long 45 min drive one way along a potholed forest service road and highway to Field "

Guest Reviews:

- "We LOVED this cabin! It felt like the perfect summer retreat. The cabin was cozy, spacious and had a wonderful grill, super comfortable beds, lovely views. We melted into wonderful family time. We went to the suggested spots- the Burgess Shale Hike, which was one of the trip highlights, Emerald Lake, and the Skybridge at Golden. Fantastic cabin- we highly recommend!" - "Two couples stayed three nights and found everything excellent. The cabin is large enough for 5-6 pax and offers enough room to spread out. The full kitchen was spotless and we have enough cooking utensils and sundries (though with only 4 wine glasses, we had to be extra careful!). The wall furnishings merit special mention, with authentic First Nations weapons and Old West-themed items, plus a few taxidermy examples, really adding to the atmosphere. The gas grill was spotless and we used it three nights running. The grill doesn't cook super hot, but otherwise was fine. The location is 20km outside Golden and 40km (in the other direction) from premier Yoho NP attractions. We would all happily stay again!"

- "What a lovely cabin! We loved sleeping in the loft, fixing food in the well stocked kitchen, even watching a bit of TV on the comfy couch. We made an easy drive over to Emerald Lake and came back for another restful evening. Wildfire smoke began to get a bit heavier as we left but did not really impact our stay. Our hosts were friendly, responsive by phone and helpful. All was a wonderful retreat time there. Thanks, Jacqueline and John!"

Guest Reviews:

- "Great chalet, in the nature, wonderful atmosphere" - "There’s wonderful view from the front porch looking at the mountains. The cabin kitchen was well stocked. There was information on hikes and the local parks. The furniture was comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well but we didn’t try the tv and can’t comment on it. The bathroom and kitchen were clean but we found some trash from past guests in the downstairs bedroom side table drawer (a bottle of whiskey lol) and under it on the floor."

Guest Reviews:

- "This was an excellent location to stay in the Lake Louise area. The food at the restaurant was great! The room we stayed in was very nice and clean - there were a few months, but they didn't bother us but may bother other guests. All in all it was a great experience!" - "The standard room with 2 beds was little small. But location is very convenient. breakfast is good" - "The location worked out great as there are not many choices in LL. Prices are very high everywhere. There is nothing special about this hotel, rooms are dark, pretty dated, not nice furnishings or linens. Most of the clientelle are families and tour bus people. But the location is divine. For food there are several spots just across the street with is very convenient."

- "Helpful service workers. Carry our luggage to our room." - "Going thru a 3rd party was not a smooth one. Took lots of talking and coordination at the last minute as hotel did not have our reservation when we called 2 confirm our arrival. Was very stressful." - "first time to Lake Louise, this is in a very good location, nice to have 2 restaurants in the property. The rooms are a bit dated, but just fine for the most part as most who come to this area are out and about all day hiking and sight seeing with only sleeping done in the room."
