- "After a long, beautiful drive from Banff along the Icefields Parkway, we drove the extra hour from Jasper to Hinton to stay at this house. At first glance of the neighborhood, it seemed less than ideal (some car repair projects next door), but it is actually a nice neighborhood with a school and a couple of parks in walking distance. We entered the house and were impressed with its cleanliness, neat decor, and ample space for our two (actually three) families traveling together. The parents had plenty of space while the teens took over the basement (the only TV is downstairs. We used the kitchen a lot, appreciated the tea selection and Keurig, and sat on the back porch with a wide-open view of the sky and hills. We used the dishwasher and the washer/dryer as well. The field behind the house was also a nice place for the teens to horse around. Colin was responsive with communications, but there wasn't much to say, as he'd done a great job setting us up for a wonderful two-night stay. Hinton also has all the amenities we needed. We were so thankful for this house!"

This getaway backs onto a serene nature reserve and the amazing Beaver Boardwalk and Happy Creek mountain bike trail system. The fact that we are only 20 minutes from the east gates of Jasper National Park makes this location ideal for outdoor enthusiasts during all seasons! In the winter time, you can enjoy cross country skiing 20 mins away at the Hinton Nordic Centre, a world-class facility with 35 km of expertly groomed trails for skating and classic skiing, a large rustic day lodge, and a biathlon range. For downhill enthusiasts, Marmot Basin is 1 hour 15 mins away.

Main Floor: The main level of the house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, full kitchen with breakfast nook, dining area and living room with sleeper sofa and electric fireplace.

bathroom (with jetted tub only, NO shower head), stunning accent wall and direct access to upper patio balcony.

•Main Floor bathroom: Full bathroom with shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash is provided.

•Kitchen - fully stocked kitchen with complimentary breakfast items provided (pancake mix, syrup, waffle maker), the coffee counter (french press, drip coffee maker, kettle, coffee, tea, honey, sugar and hot chocolate), and all the dishware, silverware, pots and pans you'll need to cook a meal.

•Living room - Lounge and watch TV on the big screen (with Amazon Prime) on a stunning new accent wall, play board games/puzzles or step out onto the upper patio balcony backing onto green space. There is a sofa bed in the living room (sheets/blankets provided).

Lower-level Suite: This freshly renovated suite is tastefully decorated with 2 themed bedrooms, 1 bathroom and also boasts a gorgeous electric fireplace. The patio doors exit onto a sprawling deck that feels like its a part of the forest!

•Bedroom #4: Forest room - Handmade platform king bed with unique touches and accent wall.

•Bedroom #5: Mountain room - This room features a queen bed with a mountain accent wall backdrop. Fall asleep under a starry sky and try to name all of the constellations!

•Full bathroom - Soak under the rain shower head in this brand new oasis bathroom featuring a live edge vanity.

•Kitchen - This open concept kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots and pans you will need, along with its own coffee counter with drip coffee maker, kettle, coffee, tea, honey, sugar and hot chocolate. Cook up a delicious meal on the brand new stainless gas range. Live edge floating shelves and a retro fridge make this a truly unique space.

•Living Room - This room features a huge sleeper sectional that you can relax or sleep on while soaking in cozy atmosphere provided by the fireplace. There is a TV with Amazon Prime in this room.

Outdoor spaces: This home features 2 outdoor spaces: a sprawling lower-level deck with conversation and dining patio sets and an upper balcony with a bistro set. There is a BBQ gas grill on both levels, and lawn games available for you to keep the fun going outside! Make sure to enjoy the hiking and biking trails that are literally in the backyard.

Note: We have 2 security cameras present on our property. One camera is positioned outside and monitors the front door and the other is in the backyard and monitors the back patio doors. They will be on during your stay.

Also, we live in the separate downstairs unit with our cat during the winter months (Nov 1-May 15). The house is fully cleaned prior to guests staying, however, if you are highly allergic to cats then we recommend that you do not stay here.

We had rented the whole house and One of the standout features was the presence of not just one, but two well-stocked kitchens. Welcome to our Green Room, a cozy retreat in our custom, owner-built straw bale, timber frame house. Sleeping up to 3 guests, this room features a double bed and a newly renovated loft with a single bed, ideal for those comfortable with stairs. Enjoy the peaceful view of our wooded acreage from your private balcony. A small fridge is provided for your convenience. Experience unique, sustainable living in a serene setting. The space
Welcome to our custom-built, timber frame, straw bale home nestled on a beautiful wooded property! We offer two rooms: the Green Room and the Gray Room. Each room sleeps 3 people and both feature a double bed and a single bed in a loft, accessible by either a ladder (gray room) or a short flight of steps (in the green room). Please note, you’ll be sharing the bathroom with other guests and our friendly pets: two dogs, Tansy and Rooby, and a fuzzy cat, Star-Lord.

You'll have access to a private deck, a fridge in your room, and a coffee maker, kettle, and microwave just outside the rooms. While we don't offer breakfast, milk, cream, and sugar are available upon request. Feel free to use our kitchen—just ask! I also run a massage therapy business on the lower level; book a session two weeks in advance if interested. Outdoors, enjoy our fire pit, dog run, and the serene, wooded surroundings. If your pets are cat and dog-friendly, they are more than welcome!

For parties larger than 3, consider booking both the Green Room and the Gray Room. Please message me for availability and any additional details to accommodate your group comfortably.

During your stay
The level of interaction we have is completely up to you! So please be up front if you would like to socialize or be left alone. If you require additional towels, laundry, services or have suggestions as to how we can make our space better, please let us know.

Other things to note
Our home is located near an active railway line. While many guests find the passing train sounds soothing or mostly non-disruptive, light sleepers may find it very disruptive. We happily provide ear plugs to help you rest comfortably.

You’ll have access to a clean, shared bathroom located between our Green & Gray rooms. It’s shared with guests from our other rooms, and we keep it well-stocked and cleaned daily for everyone’s comfort. If you have any questions or special needs regarding the bathroom, just let me know! We are on a septic tank system. We would ask that you do not flush anything down the toilet other than the toilet paper we provide you. Flushable wipes and tampons are especially bad for our septic system. We have provided you with several garbage bins to place these items into.

You’ll also be sharing the property with our friendly pets—two dogs, Tansy and Rooby, and a fuzzy cat, Star-Lord, who love meeting new visitors and might pop by occasionally but aren't allowed in the guest rooms. Just don't believe the pets when they tell you they haven't been fed yet!

Welcome to the "Wulf's Den" fully equipped basement suite close to outdoor adventure and only 45 minutes to majestic Jasper National Park. Walking distance to groceries, pharmacy, liquor store and there is even a playground next door. We use non-toxic natural cleaners. Two queen beds available. Our family with young children occupy the main floor so we are close at hand for anything you need.

The space
The Wulf's Den is a one bedroom basement suite, with a second open den bedroom off the living room. It is furnished with 2 queen sized beds, one in the main bedroom and the other in the den area off the living room. We have a kitchen equipped with all you need to cook for yourself, private washroom with stand-up shower and a spacious living area with plenty of thoughtful touches. For your comfort the suite has plenty of towels and linens. There is a TV, however it is not connected to cable and can be used for watching DVDs or one can hook connect their laptopt to it with HDMI. In addition there is a reading library, board games, some kids' toys, and a selection of organic teas and coffee provided for your enjoyment. Please note breakfast is not included with your stay, but we will be happy to recommend places for you.

We also keep our drum kit and guitars in the space and invite guests to play them with care during daytime hours.

The entrance is shared with our family from the back door of the house into a laundry room/boot room. The door to the suite is then accessed from there and does have its own key. We also have our own locking door that goes up to the main floor of the home.

We live in a cul-de-sac near a large church and are the only peach/beige coloured house in the cove, so are easy to spot. Guests are to park on the street, please (there are no parking fees here). The entrance is located through our back yard and while we do our best to keep the back yard space tidy, we do have 3 kids and wayward toys do find their way out there sometimes. The back door opens into a shared laundry room/entrance way and the private door to the suite is located there.

Other things to note
A quirk of the space is that the bathroom also houses the hot water heater and furnace. The thermostat for the house controls the heat from the upstairs - so we have provided a space heater if guests need to make further adjustments.

We do have small children ( 6-year old twins and an 8-year-old) so expect the sounds of regular young family life upstairs. The kids get going between 7:30 and 8:00am every day. They are outgoing and love to meet our guests from around the world.

Welcome to our custom-built, timber frame, straw bale home nestled on a beautiful wooded property! We offer two rooms: the Green Room and the Gray Room. Each room sleeps 3 people and both feature a double bed and a single bed in a loft, accessible by either a ladder (gray room) or a short flight of steps (in the green room). Please note, you’ll be sharing the bathroom with other guests and our friendly pets: two dogs, Tansy and Rooby, and a fuzzy cat, Star-Lord.

You'll have access to a private deck, a fridge in your room, and a coffee maker, kettle, and microwave just outside the rooms. While we don't offer breakfast, milk, cream, and sugar are available upon request. Feel free to use our kitchen—just ask! I also run a massage therapy business on the lower level; book a session two weeks in advance if interested. Outdoors, enjoy our fire pit, dog run, and the serene, wooded surroundings. If your pets are cat and dog-friendly, they are more than welcome!

Other things to note
Our home is located near an active railway line. While many guests find the passing train sounds soothing or mostly non-disruptive, light sleepers may find it very disruptive. We happily provide ear plugs to help you rest comfortably.

You’ll have access to a clean, shared bathroom located between our Green & Gray rooms. It’s shared with guests from our other rooms, and we keep it well-stocked and cleaned daily for everyone’s comfort. If you have any questions or special needs regarding the bathroom, just let me know! We are on a septic tank system. We would ask that you do not flush anything down the toilet other than the toilet paper we provide you. Flushable wipes and tampons are especially bad for our septic system. We have provided you with several garbage bins to place these items into.

You’ll also be sharing the property with our friendly pets—two dogs, Tansy and Rooby, and a fuzzy cat, Star-Lord, who love meeting new visitors and might pop by occasionally but aren't allowed in the guest rooms. Just don't believe the pets when they tell you they haven't been fed yet!

Shared full bathroom with other guest room, rainfall head and multiple body jets. The living room has a 60" TV, popcorn machine and an arcade game. After a long travel or adventure day, relax in the hot tub on our spacious back deck. It seats 10-12 people and is equipped with a bbq, smoker and TV. We are situated very close to many activities.

The space
The shared common area for guests is between the 2 guest suites. It is equipped with TV, couch, DVD's, DVD player, gaming systems, popcorn machine, microwave, and has a 4' table and 4 chairs if you wish to use. Each room has a fridge, electric fireplace, keurig and toaster. If you wish to use the large kitchen, it is shared with the host. Access to the spacious patio, BBQ, and hot tub is through the shared kitchen area.

Guest access
Front door is shared with the guests and host. Dedicated guest area is down the stairs from the door, while shared kitchen and backyard access is immediately upstairs from the front door.

Enjoy your stay in our brand new private suite. It offers a king size bed, sectional (sectional will fit 2 children or 1 small adult) Single fold up bed available upon request. Mountain Street suite is located in the upper level of our garage, accessible by a spiral staircase. The suite is set up similar to a hotel room with open concept living room, bedroom, eat in booth area.

Follow the driveway to the back where you will see our garage. The entrance is located on the left hand side. You will be given an access code which you will enter on the door. The suite is located at the top of the spiral staircase. Watch your step!

Four acres of very private peaceful forested land by the Athabaska River. Quick access to Jasper Park, Hinton mountain bike park, William Switzer park and more. The master bedroom boasts an en-suite with an oversized bathtub and a walk-in closet. Three more bedrooms are on the other side of the house, so the master bedroom feels very private. The entire downstairs area is reserved for guest activity and set up similar to a hotel! We have two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with a full bed. There is also a fridge, microwave, and a bathroom! Netflix is included in both rooms!

Our home provides the guests with plenty of space and privacy! The guest area included two bedrooms, a bathroom and a large living room for daily activities/relaxing.
With just a 5 minutes walk from the Beaver Boardwalk, our home is the perfect location for any of the guests needs.

Please park on the road close to the house, let yourself into the basement door to the guest area, whish includes the entire basement. The guests space includes the two bedrooms downstairs, the bathroom and the living area.

House Rules:
Thank you for choosing Namaste Mountain Getaway for your stay! Here is a list of House Rules to ensure a smooth stay:
Check out time is no later than 11:00 am as we do have professional cleaning staff scheduled to arrive at 11:15 am to begin cleaning the suite thoroughly for new guests arriving the same day.
Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. Our property's quiet hours are in place to ensure everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We care a lot about maintaining outstanding relationships with our community, so we appreciate you following our House Rules during your stay.
Loud music indoors/outdoors is not permissible
Quiet time will be in place between 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. We do make an exception for children as we understand those noises are more difficult to control. We also make an exception for infants who will need to be waking often at all hours of the evening.
We are a non-party house; we want to host guests that are low key and respectful of our house rules and neighbors.
No smoking in the suit.
If you have any concerns with the property or amenities, please reach out to us within the first two hours of check-in. Upon addressing these concerns, we will have permission to access the suite to rectify any concerns.
Please do not flush tampons, pads, q-tips, baby wipes, food products, paper towels, dirt, cooking grease, left over food, or any other items down the toilet or kitchen drain that is located in the laundry room.
No candles are permitted for use.

There is a shortage of doctors in Hinton at this time, we recommend you go to the hospital if you have any medical problems that need addressing.

Welcome to our humble abode near the mountains. We are so excited to have you!

Our guest suite has the amenities that you require for a short term or long term stay. Kitchen is stocked and complete and we provide complimentary refreshments, coffee and tea.

The space is a walkout basement suite, my family and I live on the main floor. The guest suite has its own entrance and parking.

The space
The suite will fit 4 people, it has 1 bedroom (queen size bed) and 1 sofa bed (double). If you require another mattress, please let us know after booking, and we would be glad to set this up for you.

Other things to note
We have a little one who wakes up early, you might hear her running around now and then. You might also find the shower a bit tight. Apart from this, we assure you that we will try our best to make your stay very comfortable.

There's a full size closet with mirror doors, housecoats, and plenty of hangers. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets as well.
Night stands have USB plugs, as well as an LED nightlight with QI chargers.
You can watch your favorite shows on Netflix, Disney, Prime, etc on your smart tv while in bed.

There's a bistro table and chairs outside your entry door to enjoy the view and a morning coffee. Please use the smoking tray with sand fir your ‘butts’ :)
