- "Stayed here during a hunting trip. I didn’t have time to explore all amenities. What was provided was a clean, reasonably spacious room, good access, and a quiet night. Located just up from Downtown on the highway, dining wasn’t too far. Will stay again. And also our check in was suppose to be at 3pm but we could check in at 1pm which was super convenient The only thing was the room only have one chair for the table and we are a family of four. - "After a long, beautiful drive from Banff along the Icefields Parkway, we drove the extra hour from Jasper to Hinton to stay at this house. At first glance of the neighborhood, it seemed less than ideal (some car repair projects next door), but it is actually a nice neighborhood with a school and a couple of parks in walking distance. We entered the house and were impressed with its cleanliness, neat decor, and ample space for our two (actually three) families traveling together. The parents had plenty of space while the teens took over the basement (the only TV is downstairs. We used the kitchen a lot, appreciated the tea selection and Keurig, and sat on the back porch with a wide-open view of the sky and hills. We used the dishwasher and the washer/dryer as well. The field behind the house was also a nice place for the teens to horse around. Colin was responsive with communications, but there wasn't much to say, as he'd done a great job setting us up for a wonderful two-night stay. Hinton also has all the amenities we needed. We were so thankful for this house!"

In the winter time, you can enjoy cross country skiing 20 mins away at the Hinton Nordic Centre, a world-class facility with 35 km of expertly groomed trails for skating and classic skiing, a large rustic day lodge, and a biathlon range. Outdoor spaces: This home features 2 outdoor spaces: a sprawling lower-level deck with conversation and dining patio sets and an upper balcony with a bistro set. There is a BBQ gas grill on both levels, and lawn games available for you to keep the fun going outside! Make sure to enjoy the hiking and biking trails that are literally in the backyard.

Note: We have 2 security cameras present on our property. One camera is positioned outside and monitors the front door and the other is in the backyard and monitors the back patio doors. They will be on during your stay.

Also, we live in the separate downstairs unit with our cat during the winter months (Nov 1-May 15). The house is fully cleaned prior to guests staying, however, if you are highly allergic to cats then we recommend that you do not stay here.

This unique stay is a balance of camping and glamour - hence glamping! Each unit will contains luxurious sleeping quarters and amenities such as coffee machines, fireplaces, microwaves, and wifi but will be heavily influenced by the serene mountain views. In the dome is a queen bed. If you need further sleeping accommodations, there is a queen air mattress with pump, pillows and linens included.

Outside the dome within 5m is a private toilet and shower facility. Because this is an outdoor camping facility, hot water for the shower will be limited.

Sleeping up to 3 guests, this room features a double bed and a newly renovated loft with a single bed, ideal for those comfortable with stairs. The space
Welcome to our custom-built, timber frame, straw bale home nestled on a beautiful wooded property! We offer two rooms: the Green Room and the Gray Room. Each room sleeps 3 people and both feature a double bed and a single bed in a loft, accessible by either a ladder (gray room) or a short flight of steps (in the green room). Please note, you’ll be sharing the bathroom with other guests and our friendly pets: two dogs, Tansy and Rooby, and a fuzzy cat, Star-Lord.

You'll have access to a private deck, a fridge in your room, and a coffee maker, kettle, and microwave just outside the rooms. While we don't offer breakfast, milk, cream, and sugar are available upon request. Feel free to use our kitchen—just ask! I also run a massage therapy business on the lower level; book a session two weeks in advance if interested. Outdoors, enjoy our fire pit, dog run, and the serene, wooded surroundings. If your pets are cat and dog-friendly, they are more than welcome!

During your stay
The level of interaction we have is completely up to you! So please be up front if you would like to socialize or be left alone. If you require additional towels, laundry, services or have suggestions as to how we can make our space better, please let us know.

Other things to note
Our home is located near an active railway line. While many guests find the passing train sounds soothing or mostly non-disruptive, light sleepers may find it very disruptive. We happily provide ear plugs to help you rest comfortably.

You’ll have access to a clean, shared bathroom located between our Green & Gray rooms. It’s shared with guests from our other rooms, and we keep it well-stocked and cleaned daily for everyone’s comfort. If you have any questions or special needs regarding the bathroom, just let me know! We are on a septic tank system. We would ask that you do not flush anything down the toilet other than the toilet paper we provide you. Flushable wipes and tampons are especially bad for our septic system. We have provided you with several garbage bins to place these items into.

You’ll also be sharing the property with our friendly pets—two dogs, Tansy and Rooby, and a fuzzy cat, Star-Lord, who love meeting new visitors and might pop by occasionally but aren't allowed in the guest rooms. Just don't believe the pets when they tell you they haven't been fed yet!

Depending on when you arrive, Bruce or I may or may not be home when you arrive. If not, I will send you instructions on how to enter the house and find your room.

Room 1 is on the main floor, shared kitchen & bathroom, large deck with 2 BBQ's. pets are welcome. Most guests travel the 80 KM to Jasper but we do have the Beaver Boardwalk and up Hwy. 40 North w3e have the Jarvis Lake day camping & picnic area and also Kelly's Bathtub which draw a fair amount of tourists.

15 min to the East Gate of JNP, 51.6 km to Miette Hot Springs, 80.2 km to Maligne Canyon, 85.5 km to Jasper Tramway, 134 km to Sunwapta Falls, 2 hr 25 min to the Columbia Ice Fields, 99.5 km to Marmot Basin for winter sports, skiing & snowboarding. We also have Jasper in Janurary to enjoy.

This place is locates in hinton , 50 minutes driving to jasper, two and half hours driving to Edmonton. No pet no smoking, adult only, Queen size bed with kitchen, bathroom, good for single or couple to stay . Second floor, have no elevator. There is fridge, air conditioner, cooking pans, coffee maker, dishes, we also provide coffee and cooking ingredients, cooking oil, salt,sugar , black pepper.

The space
There is laundry room in the building. Guest can use it anytime.

Welcome to the Knotty Pine Camp. This rustic retreat offers you a unique experience two minutes outside of Hinton, AB & 45 minutes outside Jasper, AB.

We are located right off the highway, hidden by the trees for an easy, but still unique experience.
ACROSS THE HIGHWAY From Hinton UFA, on private property. We have small cabins, a loft cabin, and campers for rent this year, along with scattered tent sites.

Our property runs off well water. It is perfectly safe for washing but it may smell of Sulfur.

Bedding, towels, cooking supplies and other essentials can be provided upon request but are not always guaranteed.
