- "We returned for our second visit in ~8months and will return often as the property's seclusion and views are idyllic. Wonderful property-period." - "An amazing property! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, both at the lake house as well as exploring the surrounding area." - "I have to say the cabin was exacting as advertised! The pictures do not do the place or the view justice!! The town was very friendly and had anything anyone would need for the perfect getaway, and at the cabin you can listen to Jakes old school vinyl collection or just enjoy the piece and quiet! The only negative of the whole weekend there was apparently there is lots of geese in the area and there was droppings all over the property so we had to watch where we were walking and where my dog was playing, overall would still rate this a 10/10 because everything else was so amazing! Definitely will return someday for some more piece and quiet!!"

- "Thanks Fiona We had a great time! The property is very spacious and everyone loved staying here. It was great for our big group! Everyone loved the pool and hot tub!" - "We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We were a large group of kids and parents and all of us had a great time. The property managers were absolutely lovely and very responsive to our requests. The start of our stay was rocky because we hadn't realized that the place has a commercial kitchen located in an inconvenient/separate downstairs area of the lodge. The kitchen set-up assumes that there are staff working in the kitchen who are bringing up food and refreshments for guests and taking down used dishes for cleaning. This is an awkward set up for large families staying at the place (like us) whereby a few folks have to excuse themselves from family activities to go down into the kitchen to cook and clean. The kitchen also had several appliances that were not available for guests to use (e.g., a grill with a hood fan). We made due but this caused us some grief as we started our stay. There wasn't a bbq on site but after we asked for one, the property managers promptly went out to get one, which we very much appreciated. The BBQ saved our cooking experience! Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom which we all loved. The family/games area was amazing as was the outdoor bar/seating area with incredible views. The pool and hot tub are even more amazing than the photos. The nearby lake is spectacular and perfect for swimming. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here again! Thank you F & R for your wonderful hospitality."

Freya's Cabin and Bunky is located on the Slocan Lake, just North of New Denver, BC. The cabin has one bedroom, a queen sofa bed in the main living area with an attached bunkhouse. We live on a beautiful waterfront property with spectacular views of the New Denver Glacier. Both of our cabins are an easy walk into town and all local amenities; restaurants, grocery store, post office, liquor store, gallery and shopping etc. The path from our back yard leads to the local rail trails or our beach on Bigalow Bay. A beautiful and very private location close to outdoor activities; hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing as well as art and culture. You’ll love the cozy cabin, well appointed kitchen, private patio, comfy Queen sized bed and walk-in shower. There is a separate attached Bunkhouse for the kids or friends to rest between hikes. Freya's Cabin is a wonderful get away place for couples and solo adventurers and is fully wheelchair accessible.
- "Very peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable cottage. New Denver and area is laid back and quiet. Slocan Lake is extremely clean and refreshing. Our hosts Roni and Steven were very kind and we were lacking nothing. 🌷" - "Freya's cabin was the perfect place to stay for our family vacation with our two young children. The cabin is beautiful and very clean, the property is stunning with well-kept gardens and gorgeous views, and the hosts were kind and helpful. Freya's cabin is in a great location - it is quiet and secluded while still being walking distance to town and the beach. Our family loved exploring the trails and beach minutes from the property, and it was also a perfect starting point for bigger adventures in the area. Slocan Lake was incredibly clear and a wonderful place for a daily swim! We can't wait to return!"
