This suite is for those guests who are coming to the Illawarra for a function and need a quiet, peaceful room for one night only. Our StopOver suite measures 24 meters squared. You will be able to rest in a comfortable king size bed.There is a digital television, tea and coffee facilities and bar fridge. There is also an ensuite with all of Southview's usual amenities. The glass sliding door opens onto a small deck which overlooks the pool/spa and garden area. There are no kitchen or eating facilities. There is no cooking in this room. Several beach cafes are located within walking distance. The maximum capacity is for 2 people.

The StopOver room starts from $165 per night per couple in our low season.

For beach lovers, this beautifully appointed home sits 50 meters across from Sandon Point Beach, with McCauleys/Thirroul beaches to the north, and Bulli/Woonona patrolled beaches except for McCauleys. Plenty of sun, sand, and surf for everyone. One of the best kept secrets of this stretch of adjoining beaches is how tranquil it can be compared to Austi/Thirroul beaches during the summer. Even in the midst of the school holidays, you may find yourself one of just a handful of people strolling along the beach at any given time of the day (except on Sunday mornings if surf school is in session!).

For surfers: For the more accomplished, Sandon Point Break is well known for its awesome (and frequent) world class waves. It is a classic right hand point break. Additional choices for depending on your capability and the conditions include Bombie on the opposite side; the Reef (a reef break) about a 200 meters south followed by Peggy's, another righthander. You can check all of these breaks out from the front deck. Just further south is a another whole set of options including Bulli and Woonona, the reef break at Bellambi which has become very popular among the long boarders.

The House

Not your average stripped down holiday rental! This is a fully outfitted home with almost everything available to our guests. Most everything for your stay is provided bath towels, beach towels, linen, comforters, at no additional cost. Use of pantry/refrigerator stocked with all the basic supplies at no extra cost (spices, condiments, sugar, flour, etc). No need to bring these items as you would with most holiday rentals. We even provide the coffee...Nespresso coffee with maybe a visit from George Clooney ;) Please inquire if you are looking for something in particular as we probably already have it. Boogie boards, bicycles, and other gear are available for our guests' use at no extra cost. Forget something? We either have it or can provide it. A food hamper that you specify for your first night's stay can be provided upon request (at cost).

The Location

Hard to beat the a day at the beach? Just walk out the front door. Not much to pack up when it's only 50 meters to the sand! Have a picnic on the grass overlooking the beach. A large canopy is available upon request.

Go for a jog or a bike ride? A 13km bike track for walking, jogging, and cycling is right outside the front door and hugs the foreshore all the way into Wollongong. We've got bikes and helmets!

Enjoy bushwalking? There are some great trails in the local area including a hiking trail up the escarpment to Sublime Point only minutes away.

There are three great cafes within short walking distance (less than 1k!) ...The Point Cafe (great food, friendly staff, only 150 meters away), Bulli Beach Cafe (great food, great views, best position), Ruby's (best value and a local favourite).

Thirroul Village restaurants and shops are minutes away by car or a relaxing walk along the bike trail.

The location is also a great base for a host of other adventures ....Symbio Wildlife Park, Sea Cliff Bridge, Hang gliding at Bald Hill, coastal drive through Royal National Park. Easy day trips to the coastal towns of Shellharbour, Kiama, Jamberoo, and Berry. Take a drive up through MacQuarie pass to Robertson and the Illawarra Fly.

Located between Thirroul and Bulli beaches with the most amazing views and immediate beach access. This property is all about beach side living. Back yard can be secured for small children. Would suite two families or larger group with booking for up to six then additional cost per person for extras above six. The beach is patrolled in summer with flags located 200 meters to the north for safe swimming and a fifty meter pool south at Bulli beach. Fishing, cycling, walks, whale watching from the balcony when migrating, dolphins cruising the beach. Check out the locals kite surfing out the front when windy or just relax with a drink, its up to you. Get up early and watch the sun come up over the ocean for an amazing sunrise or have breakfast at the breakfast bar or balcony and watch the joggers go by. Maybe just lie in bed and watch the sun rise over the ocean then hit the beach for an early swim or walk on one of the safest beaches on the east coast. We have some awesome surf breaks including Sandon point, Peggy's and various beach breaks. The cycleway/walkway is immediately out the front and is a fairly level to Wollongong and further. A massive mowed soccer/park is just steps away for those cricket,soccer or outdoor games. Three coffee/restaurants are within a few minutes walk. Woonona to the south and Thirroul to the north having some fine eateries. A small shopping complex including Woolworth's is just up the road for all your supplies as only minimal items supplied. To the west is the Illawarra escarpment with a variety of walking and bike trails to explore. Other attractions include: Seacliff bridge, Symbio wild life park, Illawarra fly, Wollongong City10 minutes away, Golf courses, Royal National Park, hang gliding at Bald hill, Sky dive the beach. Deep sea fishing, Sunday forages market at Bulli Greyhound track.Easy day trips to Sydney, Kiama and the Southern highlands. Kitchen with ceasarstone bench tops, dishwasher and high gloss polyurethane cupboards, separate Laundry with washing machine, Two bathrooms one with a massive 1.8 metre long bath. Two under cover balconies with awesome views of the beach, ocean and escarpment and a rear undercover BBQ. There is two private accesses by front and rear by stairs. Outside shower when you come from the beach to wash off. Linen and bath towels provided .( Beach towels 5.00 extra per towel). Outdoor dining setting for six is on the front balcony off the master bedroom for an amazing experience.
The home is separated into upstairs and downstairs (where the owner resides downstairs)
Off street parking for one car and motorcycles at rear for security, a side street close by for all other vehicles.
There is fully ducted AIR CONDITIONING upstairs or open the windows and the sea breeze is all that is needed. Free standing and some ceiling fans provided.
This is a quiet neighbourhood so please respect the area. No naked flames ie candles, incense,BBQs, cookers etc.
Garage is not included in any rental. Child supervision at all times especially on balconies

Originally established as a coal mining town in the 1850s, Bulli is also known as the "Black Diamond District". It is a historic part of the Northern Illawarra that enjoys pristine sunshine.

The Seaview suite starts from $195 per night per couple in our low season. A minimum of 2 nights stay applies to the Seaview suite on the weekends. There is an extra $30 surcharge for one night stay during the week in the Seaview suite.

Children are $15 each extra per night, up to 2 children.

StopOver Room - 1 night stays available in StopOver room.
This suite is for those guests who are coming to the Illawarra for a function and need a quiet, peaceful room for one night only. Our StopOver suite measures 24 meters squared. You will be able to rest in a comfortable king size bed.There is a digital television, tea and coffee facilities and bar fridge. There is also an ensuite with all of Southview's usual amenities. The glass sliding door opens onto a small deck which overlooks the pool/spa and garden area. There are no kitchen or eating facilities. There is no cooking in this room. Several beach cafes are located within walking distance. The maximum capacity is for 2 people.

The StopOver room starts from $165 per night per couple in our low season.
