Casbah is a fully renovated 2 storey home perfect for families with children to share in comfort. Conveniently located within a 200m walk to the beach and local pub, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area inc coastal walks, water sports and fishing at nearby Lake Macquarie.

It is a spacious family-friendly home with all the luxuries inc super comfy beds and furniture, gourmet kitchen, multiple living areas, a swimming pool (unheated so avail Oct-April), games/bunks room, pool table, fire pit, air con and gas fireplace so you can enjoy your stay all year round...

Casbah has been designed to host families and ideally sleeps 6 adults and 6 children or 8 adults and 4 children but a max of 12 guests is allowed at the property. (Just to clarify this - we have 2 sets of bunks that are meant for children/teens only due to weight restrictions). Please see below for detailed bed configurations.

Upstairs there is 1x king bedroom with ensuite, 1 x king bedroom, gourmet kitchen, dining and living area and 1.5 bathrooms (full bathroom inc bath). Large bifold doors lead out from the kitchen to a large covered deck overlooking the backyard and pool area.

Downstairs there is 1 x super king bedroom with lounge and TV, 1 x bathroom, laundry, kitchenette area (inc 2nd fridge), a games/bunk room with 2 x king single bunks together with 2 x king single beds, pool table, lounge and large Smart TV. Games, puzzles and books are provided in the games room which leads out to the shaded outdoor dining area, fire pit and pool.
We also have a porta-cot, highchair and safety gate available for younger family members.
There is also a great kids playground only a few houses down the street

There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway and plenty of street parking. No need to get in your car after you arrive as beaches, local pub, cafes and two small supermarkets are all within easy walking distance

DONE! We all loved the gigantic upstairs lounge room. The house is decor is lovely, very well considered and overall very well appointed with everything you could possibly need....the only exception was it didn't seem to have a clothes horse to dry clothes (unless we couldn't fine it). The only thing I deducted 1 star for was the pool is the lead shot of the listing, and I feel that is a little misleading considering its not AT the property. Pools: Weekenda guests have unrestricted access to the Pool. The pool is open for swimming from the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There are no external security cameras at this private Villa but please note Caves Bungalows is a complex with commercial offerings of a restaurant and bar. As such, external cameras are present in these communal areas For the future, the private Villa owner reserves the right at any time to install external cameras at their discretion. Any camera install will be in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Shared Resort Pool: 6AM - 9PM October to April, 7AM - 5PM May to September

Guest Registration / ID Check : Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guests names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. How We Price: Our booking rates are based on a minimum number of guests, and any extra guests are charged per person, per night. Arrival Details: We like to keep things easy! You'll receive your access code by SMS just before 3pm on the day you arrive. This code will be used for the entire stay. Standard check-in is from 3pm. While we do our best to accommodate early arrivals, we can only confirm availability the afternoon before your check-in date. If an earlier check-in becomes possible, you’ll receive an SMS notification by 4pm the day prior.

Linen: One set of bed linen and a bath towel is provided per guest. If you're staying longer or prefer extras, feel free to bring additional towels. Please remember to bring your own towels for the pool or beach.

Cameras & Noise Monitoring: While Ahoy Villa itself doesn’t have any external cameras, please note that the surrounding Caves Bungalows resort area (which includes a restaurant and bar) does have security cameras in shared spaces. Looking ahead, the villa owner may choose to install external cameras in line with local regulations.

To help ensure a smooth and secure check-in, all guests are required to complete a simple electronic registration before arrival. This includes uploading a form of photo ID (such as a driver’s licence or passport). The primary guest will also be asked to provide a list of all staying guests along with their mobile numbers – just in case we ever need to get in touch. All of this information is securely deleted after your stay, and access codes are only sent to verified guests for your peace of mind.

There are no cameras at this villa, though the Caves Bungalows resort may have cameras in shared areas. A noise monitoring device is installed to help maintain a pleasant stay for everyone. Tampering with it can result in fines.

Guest Registration
All guests must complete a digital registration form and provide ID (driver’s licence or passport) before arrival. This helps us ensure smooth communication and access. Details are deleted post-stay.

Last-Minute Bookings
