We stayed in their "Executive Studio" and the room has plenty of storage space for our luggages (2 medium/2 carry-on), a comfortable bed, a spacious kitchen and a nice bathroom. The in-room washer/dryer combo machine was also a luxury to have (detergent is available in the common laundry room on Floor 1). A shopping center (Yoolee Plaza/Yongli International) is within walking distance and we went there alot for quick eats. While this location is slightly hard to find, use the map within Hotels.com (NOT GOOGLE) to get an idea of how to navigate to the place. You can only access the area by going off an unmarked alley off Gongrentiyuchang N Rd and drive north and pass the Xingfu Apartments to get there. It is slightly north of the Beijing's Worker's Stadium. We plan on staying at other Base-locations in the future."

- "Great place to stay if you do not need five star hotel service. This tiny hotel looks like an old mansion converted into a small guest house. It's locates in my favorite district of Shanghai, JingAn, and the area has plenty of nice bars and cafes. But only stairs to get to the rooms, so not suitable with people with difficulties walking. The ground floor is a really neat Italian restaurant, which I supposed is owned by the same owner. I didn't get to try their Italian food. But the local Chinese breakfast they provided was not bad. Freindly owener and nice staff, offered airport drop off and great breakfast." - "The photos on the website looked pretty and the room was nice with lovely views. it said in the details it was 1 minute walk to Erhai Lake whereas it was actually a drive up a steep hill and then 60 steps down to the hotel and another 30 stairs to get down to the room. Very little choice of food for breakfast and limited selection for evening meal and nothing else close by. The hotel were messaging before our stay biut were not particularly welcoming or helpful seeming more interested in playing video games than customer service. The rooms were expensive compared to other places and I would expect better service for the cost. My friend slipped on the steps outside and was offered a plaster or a trip to hospital and the deck chairs provided were old and rotten. The water underneath the seating area was stagnant and these two half drunk bottles of milk were left on the reception table for two days. We requested laundry but the bag was given back unwashed with no explanation. It just seemed like no one was caring the place, it was just an easy earner. "
