- "I found The Manor to be an unexpected jewel. It sits in the middle of an incredible park right behind it is the parks Arboretum and there is a delightful wildflower path close by. The room was on the small side. But it is perfect for a single traveler, or a couple the building itself is historic. Well-kept and lovely. Service is interesting, because there is no check in desk. I was sent two codes via email and text with instructions on how to enter the building and enter my room. It’s a great concept and you never need to worry about losing a key. The park that the hotel sits in has a gate and it felt very peaceful and secure. It does not automatically offer breakfast, but you can arrange for that through their website or calling. The minute I walked in the room, I felt this fear, lovely place to come back to with my husband and explore the park thoroughly as well as the surrounding area."

I arrived about noon, three hours before the check-in time at 3pm, but they were happy to let me register and have access to my room. We do live upstairs in the home and have three dogs. We keep their (and our) activity to a minimum but keep in mind that you may hear a little pitter patter. The upside is that we are typically accessible for questions and add an extra layer of safety :). However, everything is completely private and no part of your space is shared.

This luxury one-level home was designed with simplicity, solitude, and peacefulness in mind. The Poet's House features stone floors, mahogany doors, modern appliances, a combination of antiques and mid-century modern decor, as well as original art pieces.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, sitting area and sun porch overlooking the woods. The en suite master bathroom has a walk-in shower, a soaking tub, as well as a walk-in closet.

The second bedroom at the front of the house has a queen bed and two large windows overlooking the front courtyard. The third bedroom has a double bed and windows that overlook the fruit orchard. The second full bathroom has a walk-in shower.

The open living room has comfortable seating and a modern soapstone wood stove for chilly mornings or romantic evenings. The open dining room can seat six at the long dining table (which is handmade from black walnut trees on the property!), and there is also seating for four at the kitchen island. Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker is ready to set the mood and play your favorite tunes.

Each bedroom has two bathrobes to enhance your visit's spa-like feel and cut down on what you need to pack. After each guest, we strip each bed completely and replace everything - mattress cover, sheets, blankets and coverlet are all freshly cleaned.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need - Keurig coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes and utensils, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Custom, modern cabinets and drawers outfit the rest of the kitchen area.

A beautiful deck off the side of the house offers an opportunity to watch birds and wildlife, sit and enjoy your morning cup of coffee, or enjoy outdoor dining overlooking the woods. At the back of the house is a second deck (aka, "the rocking porch") where you can sit with another view of the woods and a sweet little log cabin that sits behind the house. (We're still working on a plan for the log cabin.) The third small deck off the back of the house has two lounge chairs and a brick patio with gas grill. The back yard is fenced in.

Naturally, the Poet's House has an office/library that is perfect for inspiring your creative side, working on your latest novel, or just tapping away on your computer. Guests are welcome to enjoy the library's books and games during their stay.

Guests have access to one side of a two-car garage. Other cars may park outside in the driveway. Guests are free to walk the 100-acre property, which includes two ponds on the lower half of the property which are suitable for fishing (BYO poles), to use the large fire pit in the middle of the upper pasture, or to visit with our three goats, chickens and duck. When we have a surplus, we're happy to share farm fresh chicken eggs with our guests - just let us know if you'd like some.

This house is wheelchair accessible - guests can enter the house through the garage without ever having to step up or down. Showers are accessible and both toilets have grab bars. The sinks and kitchen counters, however, are not wheelchair accessible.

We do allow pets, but please message the host before booking with the type of pets and their size, as well as to review the rules for pets staying in our rentals. Please do not request to book if you cannot keep your pets off the furniture. There is a $50 per pet cleaning fee.

Welcome to the Tiny House retreat on our 100-acre farm property. The Tiny House is cozy, quaint, clean, peaceful and private. Recent updates include a second heat/AC unit in the bedroom. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator and stove, plus a Keurig coffee maker. Complimentary coffee, tea and accoutrements provided for guests. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The Tiny House has tall ceilings - no ducking or crawling into lofts required! Two great local wineries, and a whiskey distillery, are within biking distance of the Tiny House. This Tiny House is suitable for up to 2 adults and a child. We can provide a blowup mattress for additional bedding - please let us know if needed.

Clean, well-behaved pets permitted inside. Pets may also be kept in the small, dog run fenced area adjacent to the Tiny House. (If you've stayed with us before, there is no longer a large fenced area off the barn.) Please message the Host with pet information prior to or with your booking to receive a copy of our pet rules. Please do not request to book if you cannot keep your pets off the furniture. There is a $50 per pet cleaning fee.
Outside, there is a small propane grill and outdoor dining in the tobacco barn. It’s private and rustically romantic.
There is no washer/dryer in the Tiny House, but there is an easily accessible, free-to-use washer and dryer in a nearby carport on the property.

The Tiny House has WiFi and Cable TV.

There are two other houses on the property, but they are a good distance away. Guests are free to walk the property, fish in the pond (BYO fishing poles), use the large fire pit in the middle of the upper pasture, or visit with our goats, chickens and duck. (The ponds on the property are not suitable for swimming.)

We will consider extended stays beyond 30 days, but you should book in 30-day increments.

Minimize your mental clutter in the first tiny home to go into the “Park Place (on Parks Road)” It may be small, but it has everything you need for you and a few others if you wish to get away and enjoy some time to refresh and relax. It’s not about seeing what all you can do while on vacation, the focus here is taking a break. There is a dock with a fish feeder, where you can sit and watch the sun do down against a backdrop of fish feeding in the glassy water. Build a fire in the fire pit. Count the stars. It’s the country, so you can actually see them out here. If you get up early enough, you can brew a fresh cup of coffee and sit on the deck and watch the early morning mists swirl over the water as sunbeams slant through the trees. If you wish, grab a rod and some lures and go catch breakfast. Listen to the birds sing, take a walk on the hiking trail around the pond, or paddle about in the canoe. Come on in, make yourself at home.
The cabin sleeps up to four. There is a full bed in the bedroom, and there is a loft with another full bed. The couch also extends into a full bed if you prefer that over climbing the oak ladder into the loft. The cabin is homey and feels very much like a cabin with the hickory cabinets, whitewashed shiplap, cedar accent beams, and vintage barn metal wainscoting. It’s simple, but we try to keep everything there that you need to make your stay comfortable. We are only a short walk away if you need anything. We provide you fresh roasted coffee and farm fresh eggs, complimentary with every stay.

Guests are renting the entire home. It is not shared. Campground facilities are shared with other guests including bath houses, parking areas, walking paths, laundry areas, group firepit and clubhouse.

The cabin has parking for 1 vehicle, any additional parking can be accommodated at the office.

- "Overall I really enjoyed my stay. Management was super helpful and friendly, and they resolved issues quickly with understanding. The cabin was perfect for what I needed and I was thrilled the AC was reliable through high 90 temps. The showers a little small (think Elf the movie lol) but worked fine for me. The fridge was a good size and the freezer. Microwave was super quiet and heated well and quickly. Grounds were quiet and well maintained. I gave 4 stars for accurate description because the cabin private wifi didn’t work (community wifi worked but was spotty as expected), I had to use my phone as a hotspot. Also the pool was not useable due to repairs needed, which was a big bummer. Regardless I would definitely stay here again. Great experience "

You are booking an amazing condo on the ground floor. About 1,250sq/ft with keyless entrance for total privacy and 24 hour check in. You can come as go as you please. The Condo has plenty of windows and natural light, 2 large bedrooms with 2 full baths, and lots of room to roam in the common areas: complete kitchen, eating area, living room and outdoor private patio for you to grill out! You can walk to the grocery store and many restaurants! Close to Tangle wood park and Winston Salem. The condo has a electric blow up queen bed as well. Nature all around within minutes from mayor highways, and less than 10 minutes from Wake Forest University, hospitals and downtown.

Lastly, for those of you that are light sleepers, the unit is located about 30 yards from interstate 1-40. Although, there is a barrier ( solid fence ) You will experience white noise. Please consider this before you book. Thanks
