We have a lovely floating cabin with 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom and 1 loft), 1 bath, full kitchen, dining table, living room, front porch, and an upper deck balcony located conveniently near the front of the dock in Steele Creek Marina. We are located in a little slice of paradise on Kerr Lake. The area is peaceful and offers a serene atmosphere. Walking trails are throughout the property. There is plenty of wildlife to see from blue herons, a variety of ducks, catfish and turtles to feed, many deer, geese, etc. A gazebo with a fire pit is nearby. This property is rented as a floating cabin only and stays docked at all times during rental.

Other rentals available on location are pontoon boats, paddle boards, and kayaks (single and tandem).

The 2 recliners let you enjoy the peaceful view through a large picture window. You can prepare a delicious meal in the kitchenette that has a stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, slow cooker, blender, plates and utensils. Dine indoors or enjoy the country breeze at the patio table. The cabin layout was designed for individuals with mobility issues. For example, the bathroom has a wide, sliding door, no-step walk-in shower with overhead, body, and wand spray, and a large bench. Also, the entrance to the cabin has double doors with a low threshold. The doors open outward under a portico to allow maximum space inside. The brick walkway and patio are easily accessible from the parking area.

This old tobacco curing barn has been renovated into a PIRATES DEN cabin. It was the first of five cabins to be named for North Carolina schools. The purple and gold of East Carolina University are used to decorate along with pirate flags and other pirate memorabilia such as treasures like gold pieces of eight everywhere. Shirley was a great host and very quick to respond when we had questions. My partner and I enjoyed our stay, but we did have a couple complaints: We knew our cabin was on the property of a B&B, but we did not know that it's located in a trailer park. Some of our neighbors were…entertaining while we sat on the porch. There are also a LOT of bugs around, and I had to sweep the dirt and bee carcasses off the porch before we could use it. Most of the time, though, the Pirates' Den was really nice. Just make sure to pack bug spray."

Now, a heater-AC unit keeps the cabin comfortable, and a ceiling fan stirs a breeze. The sleeping area has a queen bed and a twin trundle bed. The 2 recliners let you enjoy the peaceful view through a large picture window. You can prepare a delicious meal in the kitchenette that has a stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, slow cooker, blender, plates and utensils. Dine indoors or enjoy the country breeze at the patio table. The cabin layout was designed for individuals with mobility issues. For example, the bathroom has a wide, sliding door, no-step walk-in shower with overhead, body, and wand spray, and a large bench. Also, the entrance to the cabin has double doors with a low threshold. The doors open outward under a portico to allow maximum space inside. The brick walkway and patio are easily accessible from the parking area.
