- "This fit the bill for an unplanned birthday overnight. Everything went smoothly and was as described. We regret our stay was too short to enjoy some of the amenities but we hope to return." - "Great" - "The view of the lake from the cabin was excellent. " - "I called a couple hours early to see if we can check in early and she said we can. She gave us our code to get into our cottage and said she would check on us later which she did. Very friendly and asked if we needed anything and gave us a mug to remember our time here. Bed was VERY comfortable. The only thing was the heater didn’t seem to work very good unless we should’ve turned it up. But all in all I think we would stay again. "

- "Great place to stay while visiting family." - "A diamond in the rough. The owners were so welcoming and engaging. The historical home was immaculate and the breakfast was complete with a roaring fire and great conversation. We will be coming back again." - "A lovely colonial home and very pleasant people!" - "This was one of the cleanest BNB's that we have ever stayed in and that was so appreciated. We enjoyed spending the afternoon and evening just relaxing outside in the garden and the front living room in the comfy couches. Everything in the room was right there for you, power cords near the bed, fan or heater available without having to ask. The only minor thing I would ask for is to have a slightly earlier breakfast available for those that might have to get up. Or have a to-go boxes ready would have been incredible! Everything was amazing though, and the perfect end to our trip. "

- "The getaway cabins are now a preference in comparison to regular hotel rooms. They were cozy & it was a nice getaway from the regular routine. I recommend anyone to give the cabins a try they are amazing" - "Great silence environment " - "No hot water " - "Wondering. Had a great time" - "such a great escape! " - "Overall good experience " - "We love this place. It’s a tiny house with a great view. We can see the waterfall from our bedroom window and listen to it at our campfire. The hiking trails are fun and a little challenging down to the stream. The cabin is clean, well thought out, and well stocked. I especially liked the s’mores kit. We have done quite a bit of rustic camping in the past but have given it up now that we are older. This is a great alternative. We had a little problem when we first got here since they were furnished with an incorrect cell number from Hotels.com so I never got their text with check in instructions. We stopped at the front desk and everyone was very kind and helpful. I can’t say enough about how fun this place is. Very quiet, too. "

- "Enjoyed the stay at Gary and nicks. House was clean and as described. Rustic in a good way. Has the essentials you need. Reminds me of a traditional New Hampshire/Maine lake house or larger cottage. Back yard right on the lake was extremely well kept and peaceful. Only suggestion I’d really have is although the large windows outlooking the water is an amazing view. It would’ve been nice to have some curtains or drapes on the windows. Will absolutely consider renting from them again next year for our yearly trip."

Come getaway to Echo Hill Farm, a traditional New England-style farm built in 1782. With a private entrance into the guest suite you can come and go as you please during your stay. Relax in the living room with a cup of coffee, while you watch fish jump in the pond behind the house. Centrally located, the mountains, the lakes region or the ocean are only an hour away from this quiet locale. There's even a farm-based Brewery 0.5 miles down the road with Pleasant Lake only 2.5 miles
The guest suite is part of the original house built in 1782. As such you can expect it to be very clean but also full of character (the wood floors are well worn, the door frames lean and there are aesthetic imperfections on the walls and ceiling). We aim to under-promise and over-deliver but you should know - this isn't a modern hotel, but that's why we like it. Still we can appreciate that it might not be for everyone.
*****also to note our house is attached to the guest suite and so there is potential for noise since we have 2 young kids
- "As advertised, friendly, helpful host." - "Highly recommended! Sara is an excellent host — communication was great. The guest suite is clean, quiet and had all the amenities we needed. Thank you!" - "I booked this property with the intention of staying with two other friends. I was quite pleased to find that staying at this location was comfortable, clean and safe for a solo traveler. I'd easily return to this location and would recommend them to others looking for a quaint and charming place to stay."

- "This cabin was perfectly placed on a quiet pond in Northwood. My dogs were in heaven swimming in warm water, chasing ducks, and digging on the sandy beach. There were fire pits outside at night. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the other guests in neighboring cabins. Nancy was accessible and made it a point to come by to introduce herself, made great dinner reservations. Highly recommend. Also, if you stay here, you must go see Bob at the Northwood Diner. Best breakfast in town only 3 minutes up the road."

Suntan on one of the two association beaches a short walk away, listen to the loons, hike, explore coves by kayak, or just grill some burgers and relax with a good book. There is one assigned dock space available (no boat) at the lagoon up the road, a 10 minute walk. This is a seasonal rustic cottage
- "My husband and I stayed at this cabin with two teenagers and my pup. The owners were super helpful and caring. They were very accommodating and even allowed me to check in early the day of check in. They were wonderful about our well behaved pup being over their normal weight limit as well. We had a great time playing board games, watching movies and relaxing. Would definitely rent from this family again in the future. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent."

Are you looking for a romantic get-away? We've got it. You looking for a quiet, secluded place in nature to escape from the urban bustle? We've got it. You looking for a place located near outdoor activities and walking distance from a micro brewery? We've got it. You looking for a one-of-a-kind lodging experience (with a hot tub) that will make your friends envious when you post about it on social media? (Sigh). We've got that too.
The space
Just because it's our second yurt - doesn't mean it that it's less-than the first. In fact, quite the opposite. We took all the best qualities from our first yurt and we doubled-down, improved and went beyond in frills, amenities and comforts.

We offer our guests a unique lodging experience tucked into the corner of a five-acre farm in rural New Hampshire.
A traditional yurt is a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by several distinct nomadic groups in the steppes of Central Asia. They have been a distinctive feature of life in Central Asia for at least three thousand years. Our yurt has its origin a little closer to home.
Our 17-foot diameter yurt was designed and hand-built by a craftsman and his family on a homestead in southwestern NH in 2023. The yurt is lined with insulation on the walls, roof and floor, covered in durable vinyl sheathing and capped with a beautiful clear plexiglass dome, ornately decorated with copper features. The yurt rests upon a pine tongue-and groove floor, elevated approximately 24 inches above the ground. The bulk of the yurt construction (rafters and cross-hatch walls) has been done with saplings sourced from the New Hampshire woods. The yurt is also outfitted with a wood-framed glass door and two screened windows with clear vinyl coverings that can be rolled up or closed with industrial Velcro.
The yurt has approximately 227 sq feet of floor space. Within that space we have tried to offer a medley of necessary comforts and amenities that would accommodate an occupancy of two guests. The listing photos do a pretty good job of showing what you can expect.
Though not comprehensive, here's a short list of included amenities with your stay:
-queen bed, with sheets, bedding and pillows
-chest for storage
-top-loading wood stove with wood, kindling, matches, and fire tools
-dining table and accompanying set of chairs
-coffee table and accompanying set of low-rise chairs
-two end tables with lamps
-kitchenette island with butcher block countertop, cabinets and drawers
-3.3 cu ft refrigerator with chiller
-2-burner electric cook surface
-combination toaster oven / air-fryer
-fire extinguisher
-smoke / carbon monoxide detector
-running hot and cold water in yurt (May - October or when dates are consistently above freezing)
-Drinking water in countertop igloo coolers (November through April or when dates are consistently below freezing)
-electric water kettle
-glass pour-over coffee maker
-coffee grinder
-outhouse lavatory with Nature's Head composting toilet
-outdoor shower with hot and cold water (May - October or when dates are consistently above freezing)
-towels, wash cloth, soap, shampoo and conditioner
-Wifi Router
-Dishware, silverware, cookware
-2-person hot tub / jacuzzi / spa with cover, and associated towels.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the yurt area which includes the walkway, outhouse lavatory, outdoor shower (in warmer months between May and October), firewood storage shed, 2-person hot tub, and the yurt itself.
In front of the yurt, there is an outdoor patio, fire pit and chairs available for guests in the summer months.
We provide two parking spaces devoted to yurt guests. These parking spaces are located in front of the lamp post directly in front of the main house.
*****the walkway to the yurt can be muddy or snowy at times so please bring proper footwear.
Other things to note
Though we have made great efforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible, you must keep in mind that your stay with us still falls within the classification of "glamping" (glamorous camping). We recognize that not everyone is willing to embrace the "camping" aspect of a stay with us so we want to highlight them before you decide to book our yurt:
1. The walkway from the parking area to the yurt is approximately 200 yards long over a grassy field that can be muddy, uneven and in the winter covered with snow or ice. We provided a sled to help transport bags in the winter months. Wear appropriate footwear.
2. The yurt is heated exclusively by a wood stove. You will need to build a fire and maintain it in the wood stove to keep warm in the winter months. We will provide the tools, the wood and the training for those who need it. Just know that if you've been away from the yurt all day, you will need to restart the fire to get the yurt back to a comfortable temperature.
3. Yurt guests exclusively have access to the outhouse lavatory for all bathroom needs. We utilize a composting toilet in the outhouse, and guests must follow the posted instructions related to its use.
4. The outhouse is insulated in the walls and floor, but not heated. It can be cold in the winter.
5. The outdoor shower is only available for guest use during the warm months (approximately May through October, or when outdoor temperatures are consistently above freezing).
6. We have hot and cold running water in the yurt (May - October), but in the winter months potable water may be restricted to countertop coolers of cold water. Guests will need to boil water in the kettle for hot water needs.
7. Guests are welcome to use all items in the kitchenette for cooking and eating, but we ask that they wash and clean all items they use with provided soap and towels before checking out.
8. The yurt is located on a working farm. As a result of this, guests may encounter associated sounds and smells related to raising animals during their stay with us.
9. Guests are encouraged to use the hot tub during their visit with us. We ask that they read and follow our spa use instructions which are included in the guest manual - founded within the yurt.
- "Peter & Sara are amazing. they've done a great job creating the space and surrounding scenery." - "The yurt was comfortable and clean. It had everything you need. The fire pit area was nice and there was plenty of wood. Two things I didn’t like. The hot tub was loud and placed too close to the yurt. The price for this stay was high for the location. "

*NH lakes at times can test for high levels of bacteria, this doesn’t happen often but at times it does, same as rainy days at the lake. Unfortunately, it is a circumstance that is out of our control. No refunds will be given but if this happens, we know you will still enjoy our amazing camper and boating.

Echo Hill Farm is out-of-the-way on a rural country road nestled within thick trees and a few scattered fields. It's quiet, and secluded - but we think that's part of it's unique charm. There's a local brewery walking distance away and is a few miles from two beautiful lakes.
We are 9 miles/18 minutes from the Deerfield fairgrounds.
We are 2 miles off of the main road (Route 4) that connects you to Concord in 20 minutes or Portsmouth in 60 minutes. Still, in our rural setting there isn't any direct public transportation and ride-sharing/hailing apps are not very effective. Best if you provide your own transportation during your stay with us.

--> MAXIMUM- 1 pet only at at least 1 year old and fully potty trained to go outside. Must pick up all your own waste and provide your own bags.

--> Pet stays with you at all times and are not allowed to be left alone in the yurt

- "Our experience was what we wanted and more. A short walk through the field and greeted by a beautifully landscaped plot displaying the yurt. Our oasis for this short stay. Essentially everything one needs is here. Bed, shower, running water, electricity, small kitchen, lounge deck, and fire pit with chairs. No reason to leave except for visiting the surrounding sites that New Hampshire has to offer. The hosts are there to help with anything and make sure your stay is enjoyable. Thanks so much for this experience. We would definitely come back."
