- "This house was just perfect for our summer vacation. It was plenty spacious for our family (5 adults, 2 kids, & dog) to spread out and have privacy. The main floor suite was perfect for my elderly father so he didnt have to manage any stairs in the home. We got tons of use out of the amenities- afternoons swimming in the lake, evenings in front of the firepit or in the hot tub. The location was perfect- getting to restaurants (we liked Sports Page) and grocery stores were very easy. There is even an emergency vet clinic just 10 minutes away, which came in handy when our dog hurt himself. Charlotte is just 40 minutes away. Jack was a great host- he was very responsive every step of the way (at booking, answering questions leading up to our stay, check in, etc). He also made sure my Amazon package (which unexpectedly arrived a day before we did) was waiting for me inside the house when we got there. The home was stocked with necessities like toilet paper, trashbags, paper towels, handsoap, etc, so we didnt have to rush out to get those after our long drive to get there. The Welcome Basket he provided was a nice surprise as well. We really appreciated the details!"

If you are looking for a little piece of heaven, you have found it. A unique lake front home with "miles" and I do mean "miles" of unobstructed lake views. This very special lake lot is level, has deep water, spectacular yard, a firepit and it's own boat ramp. The home features 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, open kitchen, dining and living room all with endless views of Lake Norman. The massive covered back patio allows for a morning or afternoon nap or is the perfect gathering place for the family. This home is tucked in a quiet cove so you don't have the main channel traffic but yet you have the 'main channel view for as far as the eye can see. There are many activities (golf, tennis, shopping, restaurants, etc) within the immediate area but I think most folks just enjoy sitting on the patio and letting the stress of everyday life just melt away. If you experience a week on this serene lake retreat I know you will be back for more.

Hi there! Welcome to my freshly renovated 1968 nostalgic fish camp! Located on a quiet cove of Lake Norman, get ready to enjoy this tranquil lakefront property. Nestled among the trees on the secluded side of Lake Norman, this picture-perfect classic-style camp is updated with brand-new furnishings. It has beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy while relaxing, having fun, and making life-long memories at the lake.

The Space
This modernized one-story 1300-square-foot ranch home is directly located on Lake Norman in Denver, NC. Upon pulling into the carpark, you are greeted with sublime water and natural views. When you step inside, you will be greeted by the stylish decor. There is plenty of room to socialize in the large open floorplan. The living room opens to an adorable sunroom where you can begin and end the day with sunrise/sunset hues.

The deck provides sun and shade for dining together at the table (seats six (6), grilling, playing games, or sunbathing on the chaise lounges. The deck boasts unobstructed views of the water from every angle.

Walk down to the over-water-lighted gazebo to play card games, enjoy snacks and drinks, or enjoy fishing or a dip in the lake right off the dock! If you like to stay active on vacations, there is plenty to do. You can kayak, paddleboard, go for a swim, play cornhole, or golf nearby.

The Kitchen
Adjacent to the living room, the open-concept kitchen is the heart of all the action. No expense was spared in this area! The quartz island has barstool seating for three guests and is outfitted with high-end stainless steel appliances, including an induction range, microwave, refrigerator, and garbage disposal.

A UV water filtration system has been installed, making the water safer for drinking and cooking. The fully stocked kitchen has all the essentials you will need during your stay, including a Keurig coffee maker.
Please note: Due to the septic system, you must be mindful of what goes into the garbage disposal, or you will be charged an additional fee to unclog it.

Living room/ Dining area (Open Concept)
The living room is stylishly decorated, and a 65" SmartTV is provided for you to watch your favorite TV shows or movies. You may log into the TV with your personal streaming apps or use the Direct TV app to browse cable channels.

The farmhouse table has seating for up to four people, with additional seating at the kitchen bar top. There is seating for six (6) people on the balcony deck and seating for four(4) on the dock.
We are still in the process of adding updates and will soon add a minibar and fridge.

Bedroom One - Primary
The primary bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. All of the linens, pillows, and mattresses have just been purchased. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, and you will surely get a good night's rest. There are plenty of windows providing a lot of natural light as well. The room has a private ensuite toilet and sink but no shower. There is a desk in the primary bedroom for any business travel.

Bedroom Two
Bedroom two is furnished with a queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds. It can sleep up to four (4) guests. This bedroom is appointed with newly purchased comfortable linens, pillows, and mattresses, allowing your guests to get a good night's rest in their room.

The Sunroom
This adorable room is just off the living area and is furnished with a twin-size trundle bed. It is undoubtedly the most versatile room in the house not to mention everyone's favorite! The sunroom overlooks the deck and offers direct lake views. There is also a nest swing to cuddle up with your favorite book and cup of tea.

The Backyard
This large backyard is the perfect location to make many memories with your family. There are outdoor chairs to relax on and plenty of grass space to lay out or run around. Go swimming in the lake or enjoy the gorgeous North Carolina weather. The dock allows you to rent a boat nearby or bring your boat and launch from the ramp.

House Rules:
Please remember that this is our home, and we have a good rapport with our neighbors. We plan to keep it this way. We have strict quiet hours from 11 pm-8 am and require that all lively conversation and music be moved indoors after 11 pm. Please treat our home with the same care that you would your own.

-Noise complaints will result in the loss of the entire security deposit.
-No pets except CERTIFIED service/ emotional support dogs. Certified means officially certified
through the ADA. We will request their ID number for validation.
-A $300 deodorizing fee + the loss of the entire security deposit will be assessed if you sneak in
unpermitted pets.
- Smoking of any kind, including Vaping or E-Cigs, is not permitted inside.
-Smoking policy is strictly enforced: a fee of $500 will be assessed if smoke of any kind is detected inside the house upon departure. Please go to the dock or grassy area near the shoreline if you must smoke.
-During your stay, please refrain from cooking/frying fish or other pungent foods, like curry inside the house. We strongly encourage you to prepare these foods outside.
-Late checkout without advanced permission will result in a one-night fee. -Max occupancy: 8
-Guests are required to sign our rental agreement within 24 hours of booking - Free Wi-Fi password and specific area information provided at check-in.

-Bring in and rinse the kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets, and fishing equipment with fresh water from the hose.
*Any watercraft left in the yard or the water will incur an additional $150 penalty per vessel.
**Lost or damaged life vests will incur a $60 replacement fee.

Built using the latest in energy efficient technologies, our cottage is cozy, quiet and full of light with the lake facing side full of glass to take in the waves or enjoy the sunset.

The house is lined with white pine interior, giving a warm glow and a wonderful acoustic character and the smell of white pine. The master bedroom balcony overlooks the living room which has a 24 ft ceiling. The small footprint gives an intimate feel, while having three levels allows people private space for contemplation.

Great blue heron, owls, osprey, deer, bass and garr are daily visitors to our cove. Our dock is protected from the sun until after noon each day and is a great space to have coffee in the morning or cocktails while enjoying the sunset.
Easy access to our small beach to launch our kayaks, canoe or sailboat, all available for your use. Several boat ramps nearby for larger craft and boat rental is only a five minute drive.
Our dock will accommodate up to a 28 ft boat and is protected from large wave action from almost every direction. It is only a couple minutes motoring from the main channel and the best part of Lake Norman.

We do not rent at the monthly rate during peak season since we our cottage stays fully booked, but you can rent multiple weeks at the weekly rate during summer season.

This house is not your average rental and is not appropriate for parties, and is not available for rentals that involve larger groups sharing weekends over a longer period, i.e. 4 couples rent for a month and each use for a separate weekend. If you have very rambunctious children you may find protecting the interior finish and furniture problematic. We expect our guests to treat our house and our neighbors with care and respect.

Our house is on a private road. Please don't drive further down our road than our driveway, instead use our driveway to turn around to respect our neighbors further down the roads privacy. Please park only on our property and not along the fence along the private road.

Our cottage has:
One king bed in the master on the third floor.
One full bed and one bunk bed on the first floor.
We do whatever we can to make this a relaxing experience for you and your family. We provide the extras so that it is not nessasary to pack the car to the rim. Paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dish soap, linens and towels, beach towels, life preservers, propane, trash bags enough for normal use for one week are included. Typically there is a good selection of spices, cooking oil, coffee filters. Ice trays are provided, there is no ice maker.
We are very happy to answer any questions you may have after you read the complete listing.
After booking we will need to speak to renters directly by phone to insure that the rules of the house are clearly understood. We also will need a copy of the drivers license and the make and license tag of vehicles and a list of guest staying before arrival. We reserve the right to cancel any booking if this is not completed or if we determine that the party does not conform to our policies. The Badger Lake House is a one of a kind waterfront property with a private, salt water pool on Lake Norman. The large screened in boat house by the floating boat dock is perfect for hanging out right on the lake and the covered pool house with ceiling fan, outdoor sectional, grill and full fridge makes you never want to leave the pool deck. This 7 bedroom home sleeps 18 and has plenty of room for the whole family! The master suite on the main level boasts a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub with french doors to a balcony overlooking the pool and lake. Upstairs you will find 4 more bedrooms with the following sleeping arrangements: 1) king bed, 2) queen bed, 3) queen & twin bed 4) queen bed & day bed + trundle. Cooking for a large group will not be a problem with two full kitchens. The main kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, double oven and a 10 foot granite island for gathering. Off the main kitchen is a large screened in porch spanning the whole length of the home for everyone to enjoy lake living at its finest. The walkout basement has another full kitchen and large living space. Including the pool house fridge, there are 3 full size refrigerators and a wine cooler on the property!

Pool is heated April, May, September & October. We typically do not run the heater during rentals outside of those dates due to much cooler outdoor temperatures during the winter.

We are located twenty minutes from Birkdale Shopping Center(i-77 and 73) off Unity Church Road. Put your boat in at the public launch (Beatty's Ford), that is five minutes away, then slide it into our slip. Put your jet skis up on the jet ski lifts. Westport/Safe Harbor Marina is conveniently located five minutes by boat where there are rentals, fuel, supplies and more. Easy shopping at Harris Teeter or Publix within ten minutes. Shops, cinemas, restaurants, everything is close by.

Wood floors throughout the main part of the house, each of the bedrooms has carpeting. 65" 4 K TV provides an incredible HD viewing experience. Blue ray DVD player is incorporated into the stereo system. Blue tooth speaker available for outdoor music. TV's in each of the bedrooms. Sit on the deck or screened in porch (with two ceiling fans) and enjoy the boat traffic or your margaritas as you see fit.

Public volleyball courts close by, golf courses, tennis courts and more. Swimming in deep water right off the dock or try your luck fishing. 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards are available to be used.

The private pier has a floating boat slip that is available for renters as well as two jet ski ramps. The deep water at the end of the dock provides cooler refreshing water and the shallow area is perfect for wading. We have a variety of life jackets but to ensure proper fit we encourage you to bring your own.

Excellent dining, both fine and casual abound throughout Denver, mooresville and Cornelius. Movie theaters, Ben and Jerry's you are close to it all.

All fluffy white towels and linens provided and a full tray of kitchen staples. Panni and waffle machine too!

- "We enjoyed our week in this home away from home on Lake Norman. It has everything you could need while on vacation. The kitchen is beautifully redone and fully stocked. The beds are comfortable and have very cozy bedding. The bathrooms are both very spacious and have plenty of room for your things. We loved using the kayaks and paddle boards to explore the cove every morning. The small beach area and shallow water to walk into are nice for swimming. The deck is very nice for sitting outside and has a lot of shade. The screen porch is great too! This home is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We were so comfortable here and were sad to leave.
