This beautiful home in Doolin, Ireland was built in 1998 as a traditional, thatched-roof, Irish cottage and contains all modern amenities.

Each of the bedrooms is en suite, with antique pine furniture. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the two guest rooms each have twin beds. The master bath has a bathtub and shower. The house has wireless access.

The Great Room has a two story fireplace, conveniently gas fired. There is a panoramic conservatory with 180 degree views, including Cecil B. Demille sunsets.

The view from the house was featured in the September 2007 issue of Conde Nast Traveler magazine. The striking Doonagore Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Ireland, is located immediately down the hill from the cottage and is framed by the conservatory windows. A round tower built c.1350, Doonagore Castle was entirely restored in 1975.

The cottage is surrounded by grazing cattle, lending another level of tranquility to the idyllic setting.

A circular driveway brings guests close to the front door, should there ever be inclement weather! We joke that our favorite occupation is sitting in the conservatory and watching the weather change.

When the cottage was being built, one of the builders suggested naming the cottage. He said we should name it Draiocht, which means a magical place, and it is.

Castle View House is situated in a peaceful setting under the shadow of the 16th centuary Doonagore Castle and 5mns walk from Doolin Village. Right at the start of The Cliffs of Moher Walking Trail you will be ideally placed to tour the famous Burren and The Aran Islands as well as The Cliffs of Moher.
The house was built by ancestors of the current owners in the 1870's and was sensetively renovated and restored four years ago and is now a warm comfortable space with oil fuelled central heating throughout, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
There are four large double bedrooms, all with stunning countryside and cliff views through the large windows. Two bedroom are ensuite and the other two share an adjoining bathroom.

The house is a stylish cottage conversion designed by the owner, a well- known interior designer, whose family have long established roots in Co.Clare.

The theme of the interior is in keeping with the landscape, reflecting the colours from the rural setting outside. Soft off white walls with oak floors throughout the house creates an atmosphere of relaxed contemporary living.

Over 2800 square feet in size, on three quarters of an acre of manicured gardens, the house amply caters for seven people, both in space and luxury.

It comprises of four large double bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor with views to the sea. Both have ensuite bathrooms, beautifully appointed with stone tiling and mirrored walls to reflect light. One of the ensuites is a "wet room" suitable for the elderly or those with limited mobility.

You can spend hours in one of our lounge area of maybe have a glass of wine in the bar lounge, as you take in these breath taking views. The town is soo cute with lots shops, restaurants and pubs that we could walk to easily. And theres plenty to do like take a guided walk to the Cliffs of Moher, walk down to the Pier for a boat ride to the Aran Islands or just hang out in a pub or your own hot tub! The property owners are very nice and have plenty of suggestions if youre trying to decide what to do next. We wished we could stay longer and would love to come back!"

Doolin is renowned for its spectacular scenery, cliffs, and coastal walks. It's a hub of Irish culture, especially traditional music, which you can enjoy nightly in the local pubs. The area also boasts high-quality restaurants. The busy port offers regular ferries to the nearby Aran Islands.

We recommend having your own transport, as the area has limited public transport. Electric bikes are useful for the steep hills, and strong walking boots are a must.
Please note, this property is on a farm.

The cottage features underfloor heating and an electric radiator, both with thermostat controls. It is a single-story home with no stairs.

This beautiful stone cottage is quaint and cosy but will all modern conveniences. Relax in our outdoor seaweed bath and take in the stunning views out to the Atlantic.
This property was renovated in June 2021. We have kept the old Irish charm and retained original features while introducing modern finishes the Fiddle and Bow collection is renowned for.

The property will have lovely details such as stone flags floors and reclaimed stone around the fire place. The kitchen has beautiful floor to ceiling window which looks out across the landscape to the Atlantic. Russells living space is finished with comfort and relaxation in mind

Modern, minimalist kitchen was a joy, as were the heating stone flooring in the living room. The restaurants in Doolin are less than a 5 minute drive.
