Many steps to different levels but has an elevator. The staff were superior and the restaurant and bar very nice. Walked to Charles Fort (30 minutes) and historical buildings in town. The streets to the fort have a bit of an incline. Had dinner at Man Friday which is more upscale than your pub. Had a drink at Bulman near the fort. A great staff and atmosphere. "

The Mews was built alongside the stables, old stone building in appearance , very modern internally. Large bedroom upstairs with a balcony overlooking the horse arena and beautiful countryside. A modern kitchen , French oak flooring, with all facilities , there is a large Velux window overlooking the River Bandon. Dining table and chairs . Downstairs there is the lounge area with satellite tv , including all the Sky premium sports channels. The house (Neves) is on a hill over looking the Harbour and is very private. It is a beautiful 15 minute walk along the Scilly walk right into the heart of historic Kinsale.

Kinsale is famous for its harbour and mild climate. The harbour is ideal for yachting, sea angling, kayaking and dolphin and whale watching trips. There is an amazing golf course nearby at the Old Head.

Kinsale today is a busy town with both locals and tourists. There are many shops along the quaint narrow streets with unique gifts, crafts, paintings, art galleries , book shops and many lovely cafes perfect for your morning coffee and cake. Our favorite lunch spot is The Lemon Leaf Cafe.

Kinsale is the gourment capital of Ireland. Our favorite restaurants are the Bullman, Man Friday, Fishy Fishy, and many others. We also love the Pink Elephant which is a beautiful 30 minute drive along the coast. It is our favorite for Sunday lunch.

We love to drive along the coast to the Old Head and beautiful quaint towns of Clonakility, Skibbereen and Bantry. Day trips around the Ring of Kerry and the Lakes of Killarney are a must.

This holiday home is equipped with a modern kitchen, new appliances and laundry facilities. 2 bedrooms, one with European kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom has 2 European queen size beds, and a 2nd bathroom with walk in shower. Open Living and dining area with harbour views, 48 inch flatscreen cable TV. There is a lovely sunroom with great views, perfect to enjoy your afternoon tea with a book!

The local pub " The Speckald Door"is a 5 minute drive away or drive to the end of the road 2 minutes away and walk across the beach to it.

The Mews was built alongside the stables, old stone building in appearance , very modern internally. Large bedroom upstairs with a balcony overlooking the horse arena and beautiful countryside. A modern kitchen , French oak flooring, with all facilities , there is a large Velux window overlooking the River Bandon. Dining table and chairs . Downstairs there is the lounge area with satellite tv , including all the Sky premium sports channels. The lounge overlooks the grounds at the Gable end and over the horse ménage from the side windows.

All windows are double glazed and the building is extremely well insulated, keeping you snug even in the harshest storm.

This restored and modernized cobb farmhouse maintains the character and feel of the original 1700s homestead. Kinsale is a gourmet town with a yacht filled harbor along with golf and equestrian center.

It is a great base to drive further south west to Mizen Head, Skibbereen (sobering famine history) and Clonakilty (black pudding and Michael Collins house!). The only disadvantage (not the owners fault!) is that you do need a car to get into Kinsale so one night we left if in town, had a few drinks and walked (25 mins) to go to pick it up! Great holiday. Our 2 Bedroom, 1st floor apartment accessed by a set of steps gives you great views of the surrounding countryside with both valley and sea views. You have a choice of 2 local beaches only a 3 minute drive. The Dock beach has sand with a medium size beach where you can relax, the second Sandycove has a mix of stones and sand with access by a slipway. Experienced sea swimmers swim around Sandycove Island daily.
We have a large garden with swings, slides & a trampoline that can be used but you have to supervise children when they use these please.
There is private parking and patio space you can enjoy.
