And if you are willing to take a little longer and pay a few tolls, there's a beautiful drive using the R2 to go between Algete and Madrid, especially during sunrises and sunsets. Or take an hour and head north on the A1 and cut through the mountains to Colminar Viejo and South toward Madrid on the 607."
