The room was very spacious with luxurious carpets opening onto our own private courtyard. The bed was superb and the quality of the bed linen was superb; as were the pillows. The en-suite bathroom was well appointed with separate shower and toilet cubicles. The bath towels were superb quality and a very generous size. I can’t comment on breakfast as I prefer to have only a coffee but, I did take a look and was impressed by the selection and quality. We did however take an evening meal in the restaurant and the service and food were superb. All the staff were helpful and polite and the free parking felt secure as we could park our motorcycles next to the main entrance. Would I stay here again? Most certainly YES."

- "It is advisable to contact beforehand and give approximate time of arrival as hostal is small and reception not always manned. When checking in, remind reception if you have booked and paid for breakfast. Car needed. Good base for visiting Segovia. Very clean and comfortable room although we would have liked firmer mattresses. We were glad to be on reception level because of our luggage. Nice flat screen TV. Nice shower gel and shampoo. Special praise for their immaculate clean shower curtain ( so many places have mouldy/dingy ones). We paid in advance for breakfast and enjoyed tostada (toast) with small packets of tomate and jam, zumo de naranja (orange juice) and coffee all served with a smile. Next door is a little tidy supermarket where we bought bottled water and a few items. Found a small restaurant a couple of streets away which we may try next time we stay here. Had a beer and tapa in both the bars situated side by side across the road in the plaza. Loved our view of the storks nesting on the church tower . We hope to return to stay in the Hostal Sotopalacio soon."

- "Karen and I fell in love with the apartment and Segovia. The apartment was located over a bar and on a relatively quiet street just off the main square. The apartment had plenty of room with terrace window in the living room and the bedroom. Bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and kitchen well stocked with a central window in the kitchen which provided great ventilation. No AC but this was not a problem as it was cool at night in late September and a fan was provided. We became friends with the employees at the bar and borrow wine glasses from them. The noise from the streets was not a problem for us as we did not get in from dinner until 11PM or later and the windows to the street filtered most of the noise. The rest of the noise was obscured with the “white noise “ app on our ipad and the fan.Great restaurants nearby and the sights were very interesting: Cathedral with tower, aqueduct and the alcazar. The Plaza Meyor was lively every night and there were many college students at the many tapas restaurants throughout the town. If there was any negative, it was the fact that the lady who let us into the room spoke no English and my weak Spanish could not grasp any of her rapid speech. Our concerns disappeared when we got to the Tourist information office and we found a person there who could speak English and answered all our concerns. We were there 4 days and nights and loved every minute."
