This centrally-located apartment is an absolute treasure as are Miguel and Pili, the hosts. They again did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Miguel was again there to greet us and insure our comfort. We just walked in, dropped our luggage, and knew we were home. Located on the pedestrian-only Calle Mayor, just step out the front door and you are in the heart of all the city's wonderful energy. Having a fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine, air-conditioning and flat-screen TV on both the main floor and in the large bedroom loft, a complete dining area and living room, and a beautiful back terrazza, I can't think of anything else we could want for. Pili keeps the plants on the terrazza and the two front balconies that overlook the Calle Mayor in beautiful condition. Public parking is under the market just a short two blocks away. The daily charge varies according to the season. We had some special requests related to Ann's health. Our hosts went above and beyond to meet them. Parties or any other event are not allowed, if you would like to hold a celebration you must contact us first to specify the details. Events may never be gatherings that disturb the community (excessive noise, excessive gathering of visitors, leaving too much rubbish outside the bins, causing problems with parking, illegally accessing private property or committing acts of vandalism)

Entry into the chalet is autonomous, once inside the chalet guests will have three sets of keys. In case of loss or misplacement of keys there will be a financial penalty of €15 for each set of keys.

We are not responsible for lost or forgotten objects.

The property declines any responsibility for the use of the pool and other facilities. Children must always be supervised by adults throughout the property, garden and pool.

All amenities offered are included in the price.

We accept pets.

If more additional beds are used than the number of guests who have made the reservation, it will be considered an additional guest and an extra cleaning fee will be charged. 40 euros per night.

We offer a cot and high chair upon request at 30€ each.

As an additional service we offer the possibility of cleaning the house during the stay. This service costs 20 euros per hour. The minimum service is 4 hours and must be booked at least two days before the date on which you want the cleaning to be done.

We felt the bed was very comfortable has a great shower, kitchen was well equiped internet was good plenty of TV channels to unwind and plenty of amenities right on the door step. 5 min wall from the old town and great restaurants nearby Parking was not ideal we had to search on the street but it was free, and not too far away. In the extreme heat of the Madrid area it could do with a small Aircon unit. The fans are very good and we're adequate for us but some guest may find it a problem in July/ August but really nice place for a exploring Alcalá de Henares and Madrid."

Also, it was a nice touch that the apartment was just down the street from a motorcycle biker bar. Most young kids don't find the loud bikes and black leather clad riders too inviting. If you like crowds, no parking, and motorcycle gangs, this place would be great. In short, not what we expected. Had to book a hotel at the last minute. Owner offered no cure, compensation, or refund."
