- "The hotel staff are friendly and helpful (no English spoken but very quick with a translator app, so no problems experienced at all). The room was simple and clean. It happened to be quite chilly the evening we arrived, but the AC/heat worked very efficiently (as would, I presume, the cooling system in the summer). The breakfast (seating at a joint table, you choose your time when you check in) was fine. For non meat eaters there wasn't a huge selection (no cheese, eggs, minimal veggies), but there was very nice bread for toasting and freshly squeezed orange juice, and the coffee machines worked well :) All in all, it was a very pleasant overnight stay for us, and a practical location from which to drive in the morning to the airport in Madrid (just 1 1/2 hours rather than making the long drive from Granada). However, at check-out things turned out differently, the trainee receptionist [who was not speaking English at all] informed us that the management wanted now to send the shirts to their insurance company for assessment and that we will have to deal with the insurance directly as that this was not their problem anymore. The receptionist implied that I was lying about the damage to shirts and I had to try them all in the middle of the reception to proof my good faith! This was a very humiliating moment and ruined completely our stay. We asked to see the manager but the trainee receptionist told us that she was “not available” although the manager was giving her instructions on the phone. After asking for a discount on the price as agreed at the beginning of our stay they refused. We understood that the manager gave instructions to the receptionist to call the pol"
