- "This was an amazing place to stay. The couple running the hotel were so welcoming and the food they provide is lovely. The rooms are actually caves and are therefore a bit dark but that was part of the character. The room facilities are quite basic and the bed was uncomfortable. However the one star rating should lead you to lowering your expectations. There is a pool which wasn't heated but hey, it was there and was refreshing on a hot day. The location is fabulous. Amazing views of snow capped mountains, very peaceful, very laid back and we wished we had booked for two nights. A great place to unwind but also to visit the sites of Guadix."

- "We had the pleasure of staying in this spectacular home for 1 week early October. This is the 4th vacation rental I have had in Europe and is by far my favorite. This historic home had all the charm yet all the modern conveniences and has everything you can possibly need. We were a family of 7, ages 27 to 83, and loved our stay. The beds are all very comfortable, the home very clean, kitchen well stocked, and a delightful outside patio which was a nice surprise. The home is very close to the cathedral, coffee shops, restaurants, and stores, all within walking distance. The caretakers, Carmen and Antonio greeted us with a tour of the magnificent home, and even had the refrigerator stocked with cold water, beer, seltzer, milk and coffee, and even fresh slippers in the bathrooms to use. They were even nice enough to drive our elderly mom to dinner and back, and also picked up items at the supermarket for us when they went. The town is full of things to do, excellent food, friendly people, and my favorite, free tapas with every drink! Granada is approximately 45 minutes away and we spent 2 days there visiting the Alhambra and other sites. We can not wait to return to Gaudix and hope to stay at this home again."
