There are not elevators, so be prepared to carry your stuff up a flight of stairs if you get a second floor room. They have a really nice pool area too!"

Short walks to restaurants, a popular creekside microbrewery and convenient to shops and local eateries. Our Bungalow Oaks has an attached carport, and the main room has a king-size bed next to a massive antique armoire. A separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and antique vanity has all the privacy of home. The coffee bar has a small refrigerator, an ice maker, a pod-type coffee maker and a microwave. For morning and evening relaxation there are two oversized rockers on the back porch for bird watching and deer viewing along the dry creek below.

The Texas Star cottage is only five minutes from Temple, seven minutes from Belton and only eleven minutes to Salado. The Silos, in Waco, are forty minutes away. The cottage is centrally located, yet has a country feeling.
Fruit, muffins, and beverages will be in the refrigerator upon your arrival to be enjoyed at your leisure.. Sit on the covered porch, take in the views. Bikes are available to ride with prior notice. Taylors Valley is a beautiful area to take walks. At this time, we don't have horses but are seeking horses to pasture.

The cottage has a living/dining/ kitchen combination, beautifully decorated with a separate bedroom. It has a covered front porch with relaxing rockers that look over
the pasture. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed with down comforter. The cottage is equipped with a full kitchen with granite countertops, flat screened television, with Netflix, Hulu & Disney, DVD player with over 30 DVD's to watch, WIFI, and a day bed. Our ten acre property

The Cabin sits on the North bank of the Salado Creek in the heart of Salado. Located next to Pace Park, you will share deck space with guests staying at The Lodge, the sister to The Cabin. While you will share a multi-level deck space, there is plenty of room for all. You have your own firepit, and can share the creek frontage with fellow guests. This one room, one bathroom space has a kitchenette style space with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes and a fully tiled step in shower.
The space
The Salado Sawmill provided some amazing accents for this space including a waterfall, live edge bathroom vanity, live edge kitchenette counter and live edge shelving. A unique burl piece finds a home on the wall as well. The back door to this one room space opens out onto the deck, which has multi-levels and spaces giving plenty of options for seating and access to the creek and firepit area. Deck and creek frontage are shared spaces, but the Cabin and the Lodge both have their own firepits. You can rent just The Cabin or The Lodge, or if your group is large, rent both spaces. The Lodge information is under 556a-creeksidelodgesalado, also listed in AirBNB.
Guest access
You will have two parking spaces out front. Salado has beautiful new sidewalks with lights, so one can walk to most of the local venues. Salado is also golf cart friendly so one can rent a cart from a local vendor. Call early if you want to reserve a cart.
Other things to note
The Cabin and The Lodge are side by side and share deck spaces and the creek side access. The Cabin has its own fire pit and firewood stack, located just off the deck on the left if facing Salado Creek. The deck is multi-level with plenty of room for all guests. The property stretches to the creek edge and there is lots of room under the creek side trees where the big rocks are.
Feel free to take folding chairs to the creek side, just be sure to bring back up each day.

We have created a place of solitude, away from the hustle and bustle of city life in a rural community that will leave you inspired. At night, the garden is magical as the twinkly lights and chandelier make the place jaw dropping! In addition to the 28ft Airstream that has been tastefully renovated, you can also enjoy our fully enclosed gazebo (with TV) and private back deck with fire pit. This is a rural little town and not a bad distance to any of the neighboring towns, Salado 20 minutes, Temple 30 minutes, Georgetown 25 minutes, Taylor 20 minutes and Austin 1 hour. My husband Dan and I live on property but interaction is minimal, usually when the flowers are crying out for water. It is our goal to give you the WOW experience and to make your stay GREAT.
