Delightful detached villa on the island of Giglio, in the Castello area. The area is well served: five minutes from the access square to the historic center, where there are food shops, restaurants, taxis, city buses for the connection with the port and Campese beach.

It is a cool, bright, spacious and fully renovated house on the upper two floors, located in a quiet pedestrian street inside this charming medieval village. On the first floor is a double bedroom, lounge with armchairs, TV and sofa bed, a dining area for 8, a large fitted kitchen and bathroom with shower. The second floor has a double/twin bedroom, sitting room with coffee table, comfortable chairs and sofa bed and a bathroom with shower and bidet, accessible from both the bedroom and the sitting room. - "Tony and Ombretta’s apartment was the perfect place to stay and enjoy the best of this beautiful island. Everything in the apartment was spotless and well maintained, and the place has a great layout as well, with a huge lounge and very large bedrooms. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you might need to make family dinners. There were only 4 of us staying there so we were very comfortable, and it's apparently possible to transform the landing on the second floor to an extra bedroom as well. The apartment itself is situated inside Giglio Castello, the beautiful old own at the top of the island. It’s a great place to stay if you prefer cooler evenings and nights after a day on the beach, as the areas near the sea stay pretty warm even when the sun has gone down. The Castello has a maze of picturesque streets, local food and clothes stores, and plenty of delicious restaurants. We loved going to Da Maria's for seafood, and Il Trione di Meino for lovely appetizers and great pizza. It’s easy to park if you have a car (both paid and unpaid can be found around), but the bus is a great option to get to the different small towns and beaches (Porto, Cannelle, Campese, etc). Tony and Ombretta are the most amazing hosts, really kind and caring, and if you need anything they’re always happy to help. We’d most definitely recommend staying here and we know we’ll be back soon!"
