From initial correspondence after booking, right through to our departure, all the staff we met during our time were incredibly friendly, and helpful, especially Iram on reception and the gents at breakfast who even took it upon themselves to entertain and feed my 1 year old! We were very fortunate to pretty much have the place to ourselves. The hotel was spotless thanks to the team of smiley women who cleaned daily, breakfast buffet was simple but tasty, rooms were very comfortable with amazing views of the bay and the different pool options and playground offered perfect facilities for our little family. It is a schlep into the centre when you have littles but a very pleasant walk and we were very happy to be tucked away. There are plenty of restaurants closer by and a shop if you want to keep it teqlly local. " - "We only stayed for one night as we were doing a tour of the coastal resorts around Turkey. We stayed here for one night in August 2024 on our way back to the airport. The hotel swimming pools, which is an infinity pool, is beautiful. However, the hotel in general is very tired. Light switches are not properly connected, there was no shower door, and the sheets were a little bit scratchy. There was also carpet on the floor which made the room very warm and not sure that that was really appropriate for such a hot country. The breakfast was sufficient. Service was okay. The Wi-Fi broke. We informed the staff and they didn’t care. The importance to us for the Wi-Fi was purely for satnav so that we could get back to the airport. Would we stay there again? No. But we would definitely go back to KalKan. "

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the town center, making it convenient to explore the area. Although check-in was officially at 2pm, we arrived early and were kindly allowed to use the hotel facilities, which was a nice touch. Villa Manzara is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with 2 lounges. It has 2 dining terraces, giving you the freedom to choose how and where your group would like to eat, drink and relax. Either small group under the bougainvillea or larger group next to the bbq.

There are relaxed seating areas both on the roof terrace, and in a shaded area by the pool as well as sun loungers and beanbags. It is very spacious.

The villa is of exceptional quality with travertine marble terraces, private pool with large sunbathing area, contemporary furnishings and high quality appliances.

The views are stunning from every floor, window and balcony of the villa.

Within a 5 min walk is the sea with 3 beach clubs: Kalamar (for families), Lures Hotel (for 5* luxury) and the Kulube Hotel (for a quiet chilled vibe in a pretty bay).

It's 5 min drive to the centre of the old town.

There are plenty of great restaurants and a supermarket nearby.

If you are keen on nature, the villa is by the Lycian Way which provides miles of picturesque walking trails.

The villa is maintained by an English/Turkish company, who keep our home in perfect condition, with a pool guy visiting at least once per day.

OUTSIDE AT VILLA MANZARA:
There are so many different areas outside at Villa Manzara. Everyone can have a space to call their own.
The terraced garden areas are filled with fruit trees, beautiful Mediterranean plants and bougainvillea. Great for picking a lemon for G&T or some rosemary for lamb on the bbq!

The spacious private pool terrace has 6 sun-loungers, parasols and 2 large outdoor bean bags.
There is also a relaxed seating area with a sofa, chairs and table in the shade.
The two dining terraces give you flexible dining options to suit your group.
The BBQ terrace, with local stone built BBQ, has a low Turkish style seating area.
The large roof terrace has Turkish style seating across two of the corners, making for a great after dinner social area while watching the sunset or even the shooting stars!
If that is not enough, you can always retire to your own balcony and watch the gulets out at sea.

Villa Manzara is on is a cul-de-sac in Kalamar Bay and as such makes for a very peaceful location.

The centre of Kalkan is 5 min by car, taxi or local dolmus bus. However, locally there are some really fabulous restaurants if your group want to stay local. There is also an option to book a private chef to cook for you as another option.

As well as the local beach and beach clubs the famous 18km Patara Beach is a 10 min drive away. Kaputas Beach, equally famous is also a 10 min drive. Both beaches and the local town of Kas, and Fethiye farther afield can be reached by bus, taxi or car.

SPECIAL INTEREST HOLIDAYS:
Kalkan and the surrounding areas have an abundance of ancient historical sites such as Xanthos and Patara. It is an ideal place to come to for walking/hiking holidays (all walks on the Lycian Way are clearly marked). The gorge at Saklikent provides another area for walking, river tubing or rafting. For those who love a real adventure, there is paragliding from the top of the mountain in Kas, and as well as mountain biking and quad biking nearby.
The villages surrounding Kalkan are well worth a visit. Some local villages also have wonderful restaurants with locally cooked specialities. They have stunning views across both Kalkan and Patara. There really is no better place to dine and watch the sunset!

Very young babies are welcome and a travel cot and high chair can be provided. Children of any age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

No floatation devices such as lilos, inflatable boats or similar to be used in the pool by children without responsible adult supervision due to the potential to float over the sheer edge of the infinity pool.

- "We have just returned from Happy Hotel, what a stunning location. We were treated very well by everyone at the hotel but the star was Hussain, what a lovely man and paid so much attention to detail. He looked after us so well. He made our holiday! I would definitely stay again, it’s quite a walk to town but the location makes up for it looking over Kalamar Bay and there is always the option of a taxi. Room was clean and lots of products to use in the bathroom, plus a kettle, tea and coffee and a fridge. The pool is huge and very refreshing! Breakfast was a huge display of different foods, cheeses, meats, olives, eggs, fruits, vegetables, pastries, olives, jams, lovely honey and bread. You can have an omelette made if you choose all included in our holiday, which set us up for the day. There is not really anything negative to report from our point of view. We throughly enjoyed our stay and although we usually get a private Villa I would stay at Happy Hotel again anytime, lovely location and great staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh and Hussain made me the best cocktail I have ever had, I forgot to ask what was in it 😊. It was very hot had heatwave first week so pretty much spent all day in pool reading many books overlooking stunning views and sea. Heaven. Views are just gorgeous. Slightly wanted to lob off top of a tree in front of jacuzzi but all added to charm and nature! So much for eating in every other night - we didn’t eat in once! Food locally was too delicious. Villa Zinnia is a beautiful three bedroom villa with its own pool and, close to the olive groves of Kalkan with views of the Taurus mountains. The villa is in a superb location 1 minute from a supermarket and several restaurants and bars. With only a 15 minute, mainly level walk into the centre of town, unlike most villas in Kalkan, it is an easy walk back without a taxi needed at the end of your night out (although there are plenty about!). Luxurious and well equipped with a modern,contemporary kitchen with dishwasher, the villa will sleep up to 8 in its large, spacious bedrooms. On the top floor is a superb ensuite master bedroom, and a further double and twin room on the first floor along with a family bathroom with bath. The living area is very comfortable and light with satellite TV and DVD. Patio doors lead onto the covered terrace, perfect for al fresco dining and the pool area. Wireless internet, Smart TV with Netflix, Xbox Series S (latest generation) with Gamepass access to hundreds of games and Playstation 3 with games. Stephen the property owner was so helpful before the holiday - sorting out booking problems with Vrbo as well as recommending a local taxi driver for our excursions . The villa is great so much room for myself my husband and two sons (20. /23 ) lovely pool and outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the sunshine . We ate out every night - spoilt for choice and spent in general £100 per evening for the 4 of us to eat including a few rounds of drinks . Steep walk to the old town and harbour from the villa but doable both night and day . Taxi back recommended for a few pounds. 10 minute walk to main supermarket for daily provisions . Thanks for the use of your beautiful villa . We couldn’t have had a better fortnight. Thrown in as an extra ….. a holiday cat that my sons named sneakbo” but I think is actually called meti. We didn’t let her into the villa but she waited outside for us each day . Don’t forget to feed her. She likes whiskers x"

The old town is full of shops and fantastic restaurants and prides itself on its non-intrusive friendly service. Nearby, is the beautiful Kaputas Beach with azur blue water. The longest beach in Turkey, Patara, is only a 15-minute drive away.

It made the holiday so special. The rooftops restaurants in Kalkan we’re out of this world!" - "Six friends celebrating two major birthdays within the group . We chose the villa because we were able to only have to share one room so most of us had our own room and bathroom . The villa had a large living dining area and a great outside eating and chilling area and a spotlessly clean pool which overlooked the sea and delivered the perfect viewing spot for the evening sunsets . The kitchen was well used whilst we were there and there was also a utility room and a downstairs loo. We were extremely well looked after by Andy before we stayed there who was endlessly patient with our hundreds of questions and they Adem once we were onsite . The pool man came every day and cleaned the pool and took the rubbish away and the water man who delivered the drinking water was very efficient . We did a big shop in Kalkan when we got then and then just topped up at the mini market near the villa . Taxis were good value to go into Kalkan but we also enjoyed the beach club which was walkable and luckily we never had to walk back uphill in the dark as the owner of the beach club used to take us home in his car . Andy arranged a boat trip for the 6 of us on Sea Belle Junior and this was the high spot of the holiday . We had the boat to ourselves and the lovely lady cooked us the most amazing lunch , a huge array of home made salads , chicken and rice , fish and courgette fritters . In the afternoon she then produced a warm home made chocolate cake served with Turkish tea . Stunning"

Villa Sapphire is an elegant 5 bedroom holiday villa overlooking the charming Turkish town of Kalkan.
It has a huge roof top spa bath, a pool jacuzzi, a pool heater (small charge), table tennis, a barbecue and a large terrace areas. It offers free Wifi with UK TV channels.
Nestled in the Mediterranean hillside, the villa has the best full view of Kalkan Bay. Combining a clean and modern design with its idyllic location, Villa Sapphire is only a fifteen minute stroll or five minute drive to the pretty, winding, cobbled streets of Kalkan.

Villa Sapphire enjoys totally private surroundings. Unlike many others on the hillside, the villa has no buildings directly in front of it, providing uninterrupted views from all levels. It is completely enclosed with stone walls and a gate.

Bing south facing Villa Sapphire is bright and spacious - sunlight pours in from sunrise to sunset. Comfortably sleeping 10 people, it has been designed and built for families and groups. Its open-plan living room and kitchen area opens out onto the swimming pool terrace - simply slide away the glass doors to create a huge open space.

With several terraces, the sunset is a must at Villa Sapphire. Enjoy a barbecue in the evening and then sink into your rooftop spa bath to watch the spectacle unfold.

- "Brilliant property and holiday! The villa is very well appointed, particular highlights are the outside space with 8 sunbeds, 2 hammocks, a hanging chair, dining table/chairs for 8 and 2 other separate sitting areas. On the upper terraces there are also further sun beds and sitting areas, all of which take in the spectacular uninterrupted view of Kalkan, the pictures don't do it justice! The villa was clean and had everything we needed, including air-conditioning in the bedrooms and lounge/kitchen area, good wifi, and a water cooler which was amazing with the heat. The walk into town in the evening takes 10-15 minutes with children (ages 8-11) depending on where you are going. Taxis are the best way home, as it's a steep walk, but they were plentiful and cheap at a 90 lira set price. Joanna was very helpful with additional bits of information and responded very quickly to any emails. The manager of the property in Kalkan was also very good and can organise almost anything you need!!"
