Everything is pretty much photoshoped. The bungalows need a lot of maintenance, part of the bungalows are of rotting timber. bad construction causes holes in the bungalows, if your definition of cleaning is throwing some water and soap in the bathroom, than you are fine. this happens only when asked. Cigarette buds are found everywhere. The bed is rock hard. We prefer slightly softer beds so if you like hard beds you will be in for a treat. The restaurant area is worse than a student dorm. It is broken down and looks abandoned. How they are able to make breakfast I don’t know. Note: if you are Turkish, your breakfast is much better than for a non-Turkish citizen. Than the worst part is still to come: this establishment has major sewage problems. the smell is at time unbearable to the point that you do not know what to do. One morning I had the pleasure after visiting the bathroom of seeing sewage water with all its glory coming out the sink, shower and bathroom drain. We were getting a new bungalow. The smell was equally bad. My Advice is go to Akbuk the area is amazing. But stay away from this place. it is worth 20 euros per night at best, but I would not wish my worst enemy to stay here. "

About Dalyan

Dalyan is a town between Marmaris and Fethiye, it achieved international fame in 1987 when conservationists won a bid to prevent the building of a luxury hotel on the close-by Iztuzu beach, the breeding ground for the loggerhead sea turtle species, Caretta.

Life in Dalyan revolves around the Dalyan Çayı River which flows past the town. Above the river's sheer cliffs are the weathered façades of the Lycian tombs cut from rock, circa 400BC. The ruins of the ancient trading city of Kaunos are a short boat trip across the river.

Things to see and do

A 15 minute drive takes you to Iztuzu “Turtle” beach where you will find 4.5km of golden sands and blue waters. Toilet and shower facilities are readily available. There is a beach café serving soft drinks and snacks at low prices.

A 20 minute drive from the Villa takes you into the heart of Dalyan where you can find numerous supermarkets, pharmacies, clothing stores, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. From here, take a boat trip down the river Dalyan for an entertaining day with a local boat master. The Saturday market is well worth a visit – fully immerse yourself into haggling with the stallholders for a great bargain.

A 70 minute scenic drive will take you into the Turkish working town of Fethiye, park on one of the beautiful side streets of Fethiye and take a short stroll along the sea front and down to the Harbour, the restaurants serve food to suit all tastes, all with spectacular views out to sea. The old town offers vibrant, colourful character and a unique shopping experience not to be missed.

Boat trips are plentiful from Fethiye Harbour. A water taxi will take you to the relaxed area of Calis beach where you’ll find an abundance of restaurants and bars along the promenade. Ranging from a family day out to the 12 islands offering a day of touring and swimming in the beautifully clear waters to a quiet romantic sunset boat trip or even a day trip to Greece, you are guaranteed to find a boat trip to meet all your needs.

Fethiye’s open-air market is an absolute must, held every Tuesday. Full of vibrance and character selling everything from locally sourced Fruit and vegetables to bags, clothing and home goods, you will not walk away empty handed – there are plenty of bargains to be had by negotiating with the traders.
