About Dalyan
Dalyan is a town between Marmaris and Fethiye, it achieved international fame in 1987 when conservationists won a bid to prevent the building of a luxury hotel on the close-by Iztuzu beach, the breeding ground for the loggerhead sea turtle species, Caretta.
Life in Dalyan revolves around the Dalyan Çayı River which flows past the town. Above the river's sheer cliffs are the weathered façades of the Lycian tombs cut from rock, circa 400BC. The ruins of the ancient trading city of Kaunos are a short boat trip across the river.
Things to see and do
A 15 minute drive takes you to Iztuzu “Turtle” beach where you will find 4.5km of golden sands and blue waters. Toilet and shower facilities are readily available. There is a beach café serving soft drinks and snacks at low prices.
A 20 minute drive from the Villa takes you into the heart of Dalyan where you can find numerous supermarkets, pharmacies, clothing stores, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. From here, take a boat trip down the river Dalyan for an entertaining day with a local boat master. The Saturday market is well worth a visit – fully immerse yourself into haggling with the stallholders for a great bargain.
A 70 minute scenic drive will take you into the Turkish working town of Fethiye, park on one of the beautiful side streets of Fethiye and take a short stroll along the sea front and down to the Harbour, the restaurants serve food to suit all tastes, all with spectacular views out to sea. The old town offers vibrant, colourful character and a unique shopping experience not to be missed.
Boat trips are plentiful from Fethiye Harbour. A water taxi will take you to the relaxed area of Calis beach where you’ll find an abundance of restaurants and bars along the promenade. Ranging from a family day out to the 12 islands offering a day of touring and swimming in the beautifully clear waters to a quiet romantic sunset boat trip or even a day trip to Greece, you are guaranteed to find a boat trip to meet all your needs.
Fethiye’s open-air market is an absolute must, held every Tuesday. Full of vibrance and character selling everything from locally sourced Fruit and vegetables to bags, clothing and home goods, you will not walk away empty handed – there are plenty of bargains to be had by negotiating with the traders.

Eagle Heights is located in Akyaka, a small rural town in southwest Turkey. The villa is nestled into the hillside, is surrounded by trees and overlooks the coast. This is an area favoured by beekeepers as there's little polution, you will see the blue beehives scattered around the countryside. Although it feels like you’re a world away from civilisation, it’s still within a short drive of local restaurants, markets and the beach, and is only an hour-dive from vibrant Dalyan, if you’d like to explore more of this beautiful area.
Akyaka itself is best known for its natural surrounds. There’s a wetland conservation area where you can try your hand at spotting fish, otter and herons, alongside plenty of walking trails that take you through the pine tree-lined forest and along the Kadin Azmak River where local fisherman are reeling in their catch. For lunch, you can stop off at one of the fresh seafood restaurants along the river, follow the river to the harbour and sandy Akyaka Beach.
Akyaka Beach is popular because of its calm, crystal-clear waters that are perfect snorkelling and swimming. In the town, there’s a small market where you can pick up fresh produce, alongside a butcher, baker and coffee houses. You can wander the streets lined with classic Turkish Ottoman Ula Houses or head to a boutique shop for handmade items like rugs, shoes and clothes.
Just outside of Akyaka, you’ll find Cinar Beach – a secluded cove surrounded by forested mountains, with a small creek and a beach bar. For family-friendly day trips, you could jump on a boat from Akyaka to Cleopatra's Beach, Sedir island. You can swim there and also explore the Hellenic and Roman ruins, including an amphitheatre, where olive trees have grown through the stones.
From Akyaka you can take the dolmus (public bus) to Marmaris or Mugla, which has the largest market in the region (every Thursday) for a day trip drive to the ruined city of Ephesus, the travertine terraces of Pamukkale or the quaint village of Sirince.

Der Essbereich verfügt über einen Designer-Marmortisch und Platz für acht Personen. Ein großer Schrank bietet Stauraum für alkoholische Getränke und Gläser. In jedem Raum befindet sich eine Kommode und ein Föhnseife.
Im zweiten Obergeschoss befinden sich drei Schlafzimmer, zwei mit Doppelbetten und eins mit zwei Einzelbetten. Diese Räume sind durch eine große Terrasse miteinander verbunden. Im Elternschlafzimmer befindet sich ein großer Tresor, groß genug für iPads, Laptops und andere Wertgegenstände.
Das Äußere des Hauses ist genauso beeindruckend, mit einer 200m² großen Terrasse, einem 10m x 5m großen Pool, der 1,80m tief ist, einer 5m hohen beleuchteten Giraffe und Platz für bis zu sechs Fahrzeuge. Über 100 Poolspielzeuge und acht Schnorchel sind vorhanden, genauso wie genügend Gas für den original deutschen Gasgrill und den Pizzaofen.
Darüber hinaus ist das Anwesen mit einer Bose Dolby Surround Anlage ausgestattet, die direkt vom iPhone gesteuert werden kann, und verfügt über umfangreiche Beleuchtung im gesamten Haus und Garten. Nur wenige Schritte entfernt liegt ein Sandstrand, der sich über 300 Meter sanft ins Meer erstreckt und höchstens einen Meter tief ist. Dieser Strand ist ein Paradies für Taucher und Kitesurfer. Unser Strand ist auch für seine außergewöhnliche Wasserqualität bekannt und wurde mit der Blauen Flagge ausgezeichnet. Es gibt einen hauseigenen Strandabschnitt mit einer Umkleidekabine und genügend Liegeplätzen. Zusätzlich zu den Strandeinrichtungen bieten wir vier Sonnenliegen und eine Vielzahl von Wasserspielzeugen und Luftmatratzen an.

Das Haus hat zwei Eingänge und überall im Haus finden Sie hochwertige Einbauschränke. In jedem der fünf Badezimmer gibt es unter dem Waschbecken zwei Schränke und jedes Badezimmer ist mit einer Regendusche ausgestattet.

In unserem Außenbereich erwartet Sie ein 10m x 5m großer Pool, der bis zu 1,80m tief ist. Für die kleinen Gäste stehen über 100 Pools Spielzeuge zur Verfügung und für die Erwachsenen gibt es 8 Schnorchel mit Sicht Visier.
Die Küche ist mit allen erdenklichen Geräten ausgestattet, darunter ein Thermomix, eine KitchenAid, verschiedene Saftpressen, ein Toaster und ein Wasserkocher von SMEG, und alle Küchengeräte sind von Bosch. Es gibt genügend Waschpulver, Waschmittel und Fleckenentferner für Ihren Bedarf. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher, sowohl für den Innen- als auch für den Außenbereich, sind immer ausreichend vorhanden.
