Gundogan: Gundogan is one of the quietest towns on the peninsula. For the club scene you have to travel to the main town of Bodrum which is 20 km away. There are plenty public transport available to travel on around the peninsula. Gundogan has a small supermarket, hospital , pharmacies and diy shops to meet your immediate needs. There are popular local fish, pide and kebab restaurants in close proximity to our home. Once a week you can buy fresh produce from the local market. On the bay you are able to join water sports such as jet skiing, swimming, fishing, snorkelling and daily boat trips. All these are within walking distance of the villa. The sea is 200m away and has some lovely little bars where you can enjoy a sundowner.

History: There is plenty to see in terms of history close by with a car. You can drive to the Roman city Ephesus and see one of the wonders of the world (approximately 2 hours by car).
Bodrum castle and amphitheatre is 20 minutes drive away. Many small ancient village close by are visited on their market days at which time you can buy produce grown or made by the locals.

The spacious, light and airry house is fully equiped with all the essentials you need and more. The good sized garden is perfect for sun bathing and has a gorgeous shade area with "comfy" white sofas to escape the midday sun. The pool is just steps away from the property and suitable for all ages. Supermarkets were easly accesible and Bodrum was a quick 30min drive away. Gundogan has a variety of good food restuarant along the beach front, and is only a 10 min walk away. The drive from the airport was pretty easy. I would suggest to take a day flight. We have been raving about our stay at Villa 5 ever since we've been back, and we can't wait to go again soon! Fully furnished Villa is established for residence year round, with a fully equipped modern kitchen, plenty of bedsheets, pillows, blankets, towels etc. The living room and the outside balcony and garden is on ground floor. Villa entrance, kitchen, the second outside balcony and garden are on the first floor. The next two/three floors each have two rooms, a bathroom, and a balcony of their own overlooking the Aegean Sea and Islands. There is a laundry room and plenty of item storage space available.

Guests have full access to the living room, kitchen, their rooms and all outside garden and patio spaces. The home comes with its on-site caretaker team who attends all outside garden/patio maintenance and guest special requests such as assistance, cleaning, shopping etc. Guests also get access to all benefits of our grander living complex including private access to the Olympic Pool, three separate beaches, restaurants and bars, grocery store with home delivery service etc.

It is very easy to reach our villa by road using GPS. Having a car is a convenience, but not a necessity. Gundogan municipality busses pass every 30 minutes for easy transportation back and forth downtown Gundogan. There is hourly transportation for access to all beach, pool and entertainment areas within the complex. The house comes with plenty of parking spaces. Our home taker team will greet guests, introduce the Villa and hand out keys and upon arrival.

Thank you!" - "I wrote the owner in advance to inquire about heating. I told him we had a toddler. He assured me it would be fine and that some rooms are heated and others have a space heater. In fact, three rooms are heated, the space heater proved totally inadequate in other rooms, and the bathrooms are not heated at all. There were other issues I did not discuss with him including clutter everywhere. Outdoor furniture was shoved inside; so were large pots that apparently spend the summer on the patio. Eight rooms are advertised, but several were blocked off. After one night, I informed him we could not stay because of the heat issue. He responded with an apology and indicated he would issue a refund soon. He has since gone completely silent and refuses to respond to my inquiries. I had hoped to deal with this like adults but his refusal to communicate makes that impossible."

Additionally, Turkey regularly spray their residential areas to kill bugs, and save a few ants we barely saw any during our entire stay... this made it possible to enjoy the excellent outdoor dining and seating areas long into the evening - a huge bonus. One of our party became ill during the trip, and Nazli arranged for medicine to be collected from the pharmacy and dropped off immediately. Villa Cumba has wonderful views of the sea from its position, perched in the hillside above the bay. There is a local supermarket and bakery, and a small restaurant all within 10 minutes on foot. The centre of Gundogan is a local minibus ride or 7 minute car journey away with excellent selection of beach front restaurants and cafes aswell as quaint harbour and sandy beach. There is a fantastic communal infinity pool which is is great for relaxing while absorbing the remarkable panorama. There is WiFi and air conditioning.

The communal pool is open May 1 until October 31. The pool area is perfect for those who love to lounge the day away by the pool. From the villa, you can easily bring your favorite snacks and drinks to enjoy the sun with your friends and family, or buy your drinks at the pool side Ramada.. In addition to the primary pool, there is a small children's pool and play area

The seperate lounge, dining area and kitchen each have patio doors with access to the covered terrace and private garden. There's a flat screen TV, ornamental fireplace, and seating group . Plus, the kitchen is well-equipped with everything you'll need for an enjoyable stay. There are numerous seating groups for you to relax in the shade or sunshine whether it be enjoying the peace an privacy of the gardn or whether enjoying the spectacular views from the terrace.

Villa Cumba has 3 bedrooms over 2 levels. On the ground floor is a double bedroom and a separate shared bathroom with shower. Upstairs is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, again with a shared bathroom on this floor.

There is a wooden deck within walking distance (10 mins or 3 mins by car) which provides easy access to the sea. If you have kids, aging parents, or health problems, we recommend driving to the seaside because coming back will require walking on steps and slight hills. If you fancy a change of scenery Gündogan Centre Beach is less than 10 minutes drive (accessible by bus also) where there is plenty of sunbathing space on the beach and on the many jetties beside restaurants and hotels which are mainly free of charge. A wide variety of water sports / sailing / boat trips are available in Gundogan both in the sailing club and the information stand on the harbour front.

Much of the nightlife in Gundogan is focused around the manmade jetties from the coastline. Restaurants offer all kinds of delicious foods, from fresh fish to turkish mezzes to Turkish pizzas. Many of the restaurants will offer entertainment later on in the night after the eating period is over. Nightlife is moderate in Gundogan so the alternative is to head into Bodrum centre if you want a large nightclub or 15 minutes drive to Yalikavak if you are looking for some high class beach club parties.

The 5th and 6th guests can be accommodated in an area off the living room with double bed , seperated by a screen. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bath and shower, and one downstairs with a shower. The local buses pass by the villa regularly during the day and night and will take you into the centre of Gundogan and all amenities. The buses can take you all around the peninsula to Bodrum, Yalikavak, Bitez, Turgutreis, Turbuku,... In addition to the private pool, the complex has a shared infinity pool to enjoy the sun and stunning views with your friends and family. There is also a small childrens pool and play area. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the pool area 24 hours a day. The pool is open from May - Oct, is unheated and there is no lifeguard on duty. SEA/BEACH ACCESS: For those who prefer to swim / snorkel in the sea there is a private beach area just 400 metres from the complex which will be available to you as a guest in Villa Mia. Access is by way of steps down from the road opposite the entrance to the complex. It is also possible to drive to this area as there is parking - approx 5 mins by car. Villa Jay can be found in a small village called Türkbükü, one of the chicest spots on the Bodrum Peninsula in Southern Turkey.

Villa Jay is a six bedroom villa each with ensuite bathrooms. The décor is chic, mostly wood, rattan and wicker, the natural shades offset by colourful kilims, gleaming copper and the works of local artists.

The groud floor of Villa Jay radiates a sense of calm and relaxation from an interior sunken garden that leads onto an outdoor dining terrace with far reaching views of the sea.

On the ground floor there is also a well equipped kitchen, two large sitting areas, a large dining area and stone fireplace.

There is fast WIFI throughout the house, but for those of you that might need to work there is a quiet office at the back of the house.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms with modern ensuite bathrooms, while downstairs there are three further ensuite bedrooms, and another large sitting room which opens directly onto the pool and the sun-terraces surrounding it.

Beyond the pool there is a beautiful, well stocked garden with plenty of bushes and trees to ensure privacy

Turkbuku is a charming village with a small but beautiful beach and a few restaurants and bars. It is also a very popular spot for yachts and sailing boats.

The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away from the house, as are local shops and restaurants. There is a large supermarket in the village where you can find all essentials, as well as a number of chic restaurants with the sea lapping beneath them

Very close to the house you can find Maçakizi and the Mandarin Oriental, perfect venues for special occasions. Even closer you can find the world famous LifeCo offering a range of treatments and therapies.

Villa Jay is a 25 minute drive from the centre of Bodrum, and a 50 minute drive from the airport.

Villa Jay is a furnished house in Türkbükü, Bodrum consisting of 6 double bedrooms for a maximum of 12 guests. Pets are not permitted and nor is smoking indoors.
