Gundogan: Gundogan is one of the quietest towns on the peninsula. For the club scene you have to travel to the main town of Bodrum which is 20 km away. There are plenty public transport available to travel on around the peninsula. Gundogan has a small supermarket, hospital , pharmacies and diy shops to meet your immediate needs. There are popular local fish, pide and kebab restaurants in close proximity to our home. Once a week you can buy fresh produce from the local market. On the bay you are able to join water sports such as jet skiing, swimming, fishing, snorkelling and daily boat trips. All these are within walking distance of the villa. The sea is 200m away and has some lovely little bars where you can enjoy a sundowner.

History: There is plenty to see in terms of history close by with a car. You can drive to the Roman city Ephesus and see one of the wonders of the world (approximately 2 hours by car).
Bodrum castle and amphitheatre is 20 minutes drive away. Many small ancient village close by are visited on their market days at which time you can buy produce grown or made by the locals.

The spacious, light and airry house is fully equiped with all the essentials you need and more. The good sized garden is perfect for sun bathing and has a gorgeous shade area with "comfy" white sofas to escape the midday sun. The pool is just steps away from the property and suitable for all ages. Supermarkets were easly accesible and Bodrum was a quick 30min drive away. Gundogan has a variety of good food restuarant along the beach front, and is only a 10 min walk away. The drive from the airport was pretty easy. I would suggest to take a day flight. We have been raving about our stay at Villa 5 ever since we've been back, and we can't wait to go again soon! Fully furnished Villa is established for residence year round, with a fully equipped modern kitchen, plenty of bedsheets, pillows, blankets, towels etc. The living room and the outside balcony and garden is on ground floor. Villa entrance, kitchen, the second outside balcony and garden are on the first floor. The next two/three floors each have two rooms, a bathroom, and a balcony of their own overlooking the Aegean Sea and Islands. There is a laundry room and plenty of item storage space available.

Guests have full access to the living room, kitchen, their rooms and all outside garden and patio spaces. The home comes with its on-site caretaker team who attends all outside garden/patio maintenance and guest special requests such as assistance, cleaning, shopping etc. Guests also get access to all benefits of our grander living complex including private access to the Olympic Pool, three separate beaches, restaurants and bars, grocery store with home delivery service etc.

It is very easy to reach our villa by road using GPS. Having a car is a convenience, but not a necessity. Gundogan municipality busses pass every 30 minutes for easy transportation back and forth downtown Gundogan. There is hourly transportation for access to all beach, pool and entertainment areas within the complex. The house comes with plenty of parking spaces. Our home taker team will greet guests, introduce the Villa and hand out keys and upon arrival.

Thank you!" - "I wrote the owner in advance to inquire about heating. I told him we had a toddler. He assured me it would be fine and that some rooms are heated and others have a space heater. In fact, three rooms are heated, the space heater proved totally inadequate in other rooms, and the bathrooms are not heated at all. There were other issues I did not discuss with him including clutter everywhere. Outdoor furniture was shoved inside; so were large pots that apparently spend the summer on the patio. Eight rooms are advertised, but several were blocked off. After one night, I informed him we could not stay because of the heat issue. He responded with an apology and indicated he would issue a refund soon. He has since gone completely silent and refuses to respond to my inquiries. I had hoped to deal with this like adults but his refusal to communicate makes that impossible."

Upon leaving we suggested to Nazli that the only improvements we could think of would be a larger internal bin, and some plastic cups for around the pool. I believe she intends to add these. The views over the Mediterranean are unparalleled and the compound is extremely safe. Additionally, Turkey regularly spray their residential areas to kill bugs, and save a few ants we barely saw any during our entire stay... this made it possible to enjoy the excellent outdoor dining and seating areas long into the evening - a huge bonus. The service provided by Nazli and the team was amongst the best I have ever experienced. One of our party became ill during the trip, and Nazli arranged for medicine to be collected from the pharmacy and dropped off immediately. Any request we made, was swiftly and warmly accommodated. 10/10 all round."
