Family friendly Villa Priene offers a gated entrance, parking, gardens, private pool, huge stone BBQ and bar with fridge. The sun deck has fab views across the bays and gives everyone the space they need to enjoy the sun or the shade, which seemed always to be accompanied by a welcome breeze. The sun rooms sliding windows convert into a sheltered chill out area.

Wifi is up to 12Mbps, the are 3 firesticks on the TVs (so plenty UK TV, movies) and 2 Alexa music boxes.

On the ground floor it has an open plan kitchen, water cooler, air fryer, a dining and living area (double height ceiling) with 3 sets of patio doors leading onto tiled covered terrace, with table and 6 chairs, overlooking pool and sea views. The utility/storage room houses the washing machine. Beds 2 and 3 are on the ground floor as is the family bathroom. The marble staircase from the living room leads to the master suite and galleria area with access to extensive sun deck and mezzanine sun area. The master bedroom has en-suite and great views.

Fantastic walking, rowing boat hire, diving, windsurf hire, go-karting, camel and horse riding, thermal spas, snorkelling over ancient pottery, boat trips to wonderful bays and islands - all nearby. There is a fantastic English speaking dentist nearby. Great service and excellent rates. No long waits, get all your work done while on holiday!

The pool is clean and just long enough for short laps if you are swimming alone, and I can imagine that 4 adults could play around in it at the same time. For an average adult size woman, the water in the pool reaches right below your head. The garden is private, with almost no insight from neighbors. The house is very well sound insulated, and the house is far enough from the mosque that the early prayer wont bother you. The view is to die for! The only negative worth mentioning is really the road up to the villa, but from experience we have learned that this is common in the area. We would love to stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area."

We didn't need to hire a car in the end, as we were able to easily walk to the small local public beach (5minutes) and about 5- 10 mins walk to the nearest small supermarkets to stock up. There is a taci rank about 4 minutes walk from the villa and taxis are ridiculously cheap. About £5 to get to Bodrum centre for 4 of us and about5-10mins away. The hotel is located in a very nice spot, and the rooms are nice and spacious. We couldn’t imagine then that this so expensive 5-star hotel has not even the basic service. After we took our first shower, we walk in the room barefoot, just to discover that the floor (dark grey we couldn’t see it), was very very dirty, with a lot of black hair (not ours), stack into our feet. Our feet were literally total black. (room was never cleaned after the previous residents) I went to the reception with a video of the dirt on the floor asking to see the manager and complaining about the room. The result? Even if they reassured us that they would take extra care of the room cleaning, this NEVER HAPPENED. They were only making the beds every day. NO cleaning with broom, NO mopping the floor, NO folding the clothes, NO afternoon turn down, NO new towels. They removed the used once and didn’t replace them, so we were left with no shower towels. All these for 4 days. Basic cleaning procedure in a 5-star (not) hotel. Nobody (except two very nice boys in the reception) talked English, so we were just complaining in the reception every day, and nothing was happening. The housekeeping staff couldn’t understand anything. We asked to see the manager more than 6 times, and she refused to appear. We could see her in the hotel, but she was avoiding us! Not even an action showing that they care. AWFUL experienve. Definitely NOT a suggestion !!"
