Our farm stay has been apprvoved by the Shire and the Department of Fire and Emergency - DFES.

This farm house has a bull nose verandah where people can sit, read, chat, watch the sheep and chooks graze, birds bath or listen to music, a BBQ is also on the veranda.

People may bring their dog/ dogs the yard is fully fenced, however because its a working farm, for safety reasons dogs must no be allowed to go outside the fenced off yard around the house. If you wish to take the dog for a walk down Ward Road for safety reasons must be kept on a lead.

Inside are two queen size bedrooms one with a single bed in it for a young person, Also there is a double bed room and one single bedroom, all have everything you need in them, including electric blankets..

The lounge room has a TV DVD Player,and wood heater we only supply wood for your first night baged wood can be puchased in town at both service stations and the IGA. This house has a separate dinning room with wood heater, library, board games, a table tennis, and Foos Ball in the house.There are no carpets, polished jarrah floor boards.

There is a large covered decking area with a BBQ off the dinning room, a perfect place for an outdoor meal or to sit and enjoy the open spaces.

This farm stay house has everything you need, except a washing machine there is a laundromat in town $6 a load, you only need to bring your food.

If people wish to bring their pushbikes, Ward Road is a safe road to ride on, helmets must be worn at all times.

This farm stay house is 9 KM out of Mount Barker, thus between the Stirling Ranges and the Porongurups.Denmark is 50KM from Ward Road and Albany is 65KM and has easy access to the Plantagenet Porongurups and Frankland River Winerys.

Prices are $120 per couple per night, an extra adult is $50 per person per night and for children, $30 per child per night. There is no charge for dogs, and a fenced off kennel area is in the garden, also Halsey Hounds boarding kennels is close by at 31173 Albany Highway, Mount Barker, Phone 0447069550

As this farm is a working farm and there are dams on the property, although the house is well fenced off from the dams it is important that parents are fully aware.

Please do not go down Wilson Road, Google Earth recommends Wilson Road but no you must go straight to Ward Road which runs off Albany Highway this will take you straight to the Gum Trees Farm House.

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by my two dogs Dizzy and Floss as they are free to roam around on the property. They are incredibly friendly but only young so still learning and may attempt to invite themselves into your car. The Space:
Orana Cabin by Tiny Away is situated in the serene countryside of Cherry Tree Pool, Australia, just a 2-hour drive from Bunbury. Our tiny house is set on a sandy hill with stunning views of open grazing land and native bush.

Explore the Western Australian region’s nature parks like Whiteman Park, Wellington National Park, Cherry Tree Pool Nature Reserve, and Caversham Wildlife Park. Discover local produce at Premier Mill Dome or grab food at Country Kitchen Kojonup and Katanning.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.

Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and the surrounding paddocks, except for the farmhouses and house yards.

The Neighborhood:
Orana Cabin by Tiny Away is located in the rustic countryside of Cherry Tree Pool, 2 hours away from Bunbury. Our tiny house offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural resources and countryside life in the Shire of Kojonup.
Take a good walk at Whiteman Park offers vast natural scenery and peaceful walking trails. Have sweet moments at Wellington National Park, which is home to the picturesque Honeymoon Pool—a spot for fun water activities. Find scenic trails at Cherry Tree Pool Nature Reserve with diverse landscapes just near our holiday homes.

You can take a closer look at Australia’s native fauna at Caversham Wildlife Park. Don’t miss the beautifully restored historic flour mill, Premier Mill Dome. Taste local culture at Country Kitchen Kojonup for a delightful mix of multicultural cuisine, or shop for essentials at Woolworths and IGA in Katanning.

All reachable by 2WD all year - there are gravel roads off of the main highways though

By public transport:

With no public transportation available, travelers from Perth can opt for a two-hour flight to Bunbury. Upon arrival, they can easily arrange for private transportation such as Uber or taxi services to reach their destination.

Other Things to Note:
- Gas BBQ grill is available.
- No unregistered guests allowed
- We'll provide bins for rubbish, recycling, and (4) container returns
- Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone have weak signals, and the rest have no signal
- No smoking inside, except in designated areas, and please put All Cigarette Butts in the sand bucket
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.

Experience glamping under the stars in our spacious two room Canvas Cabin.

Most suited for duos; a romantic couples retreat, or friends getaway with a queen size pillow top ensemble and a single bed in the second room.​ *Projector Package +$20p/n

Lounge around with two bean bags and enjoy a morning cuppa on the verandah; then venture outside with camp chairs by the fire and witness evening turn into night (Fires seasonal).​

Foodies - enjoy your own private outdoor camp kitchen with gas cooker, esky (no ice), cooking utensils and extra camp fire cooking tools to cook over the open fire in season. Grocery Supplies and Ice are available from Dumbleyung and Kukerin.

Bathe in the concrete bath overlooking the rolling paddocks - in summer the sun heats the water pipe, in winter *Warm Bath Package +$30 (2hours) or have a cold dip! ​

Settle in for some board game fun in this off-grid abode. ​

Look over the pine forest to the west and you may glimpse chickens, horses and sheep in the next door paddocks.​

Trek through the pines or 4wd access to drive/walk the sandplain wildflower track, look and listen for the birds and the bees.

As dusk settles, by dim lamp light, rug up in your cozys and search the sky for shooting stars.​

Nature brings with it all sorts of weather, there are plenty of local activities and eats to take a break from the elements here.​

Shared facilities are also available to all campsite guests including Portaloo and Warm Bush Shower in the centre of the grounds. There is Telstra phone range and the grounds are totally off-grid so if you are technologically inclined pack your devices, your power bank and charge them on your way in the car. Additional charging available on request to management. Fire wood and basic supplies including bottled water available for purchase in shop trailer, or BYO.

Relax in the high end of town, surrounded by a natural nature reserve. A short walk will bring you to the town centre where you'll find all your ammenities.
We have a 2 bedroom unit, fully contained, set on 10 acres. This is the perfect location for a weekend escape from the city or a family getaway. Plenty to explore- Wagin awaits you!

The unit consists of two bedrooms; one with a queen bed and the other has two single beds (please request at time of booking if you require a king bed instead of two singles in the second room and I will try my best to accomodate.) There is a kitchenette with all ammenities you’ll need for your stay. Bathroom with shower, living room with dining table/ work desk.

Guests are welcome to walk around the grounds, admire the horses in neighbouring properties etc. There is a track on the property which takes you through the bush if you feel like a nice short walk.
Outside of our boundary, there is a 100 acre bush reserve that surrounds our property. This has walk trails through it.

Owners are in the house next door, so available if you have any queries or would like some local knowledge of the town, or if you simply run out of milk!
Equally, we like to give you space and leave you in peace unless you need us.

Wagin is home to the Giant Ram sculpture which is a short walk away. Also home to the Woolorama which takes place every year. The town centre is very close by, offering cafe, library, iga and supermarket to name a few.

Plenty of great walking routes nearby.

When you book to stay at The Faraway House you will have the whole house to yourself. Let yourself in with the key in the lockbox. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge. There is also a craft or writing room for those looking for a creative getaway! There are no hidden costs - all cleaning costs are included in the night rate.

The house is beautifully appointed with quality furnishings and mattresses. Those who love to cook will love the large country kitchen stove and the kitchen is set up for baking with a mixmaster, cake tins and trays. There is a slow cooker and microwave and all the cookware you will need, including a wok. There are bedside lamps provided next to each bed with a USB port for convenient charging of your phone.

For the coffee lovers there is a coffee plunger and a Turkish percolator for on the stove. Bring your favourite grounds and enjoy a morning coffee on the verandah. Tea lovers are catered for too with a teapot available and have a look in the buffet for the pretty china teacups. Instant coffee, tea, sugar and milk is provided.

The Faraway House is the perfect escape destination. Due to being in a remote location, WiFi is not available. There is Telstra 4G reception in the house, however Optus is not reliable but will connect to the SOS service. The television has a satellite connection and there is also a DVD player with a selection of DVDs. Enjoy some technology free time and enjoy playing cards or board games or do a jigsaw puzzle.

There is a WIR off the main bathroom and walk-in pantry in the kitchen. Bedroom 3 has a clothes hanging rack and a small dresser.

Each room has a rural outlook and views of trees. The garden is filled with grevillea and flowering shrubs which the blue wrens, silvereyes, pardalotes, willy wagtails and honeyeaters love. In summer you will also see flocks of Muir's corellas (cacatua pastinator pastinator)... they are the noisy characters that look like cockatoos. Behind the house is a wandoo grove, often inhabited by the local kangaroos. The stars at night will astound you and remind you why it’s called the Milky Way.

ACCESSIBILITY

The house suits those needing easy access. There are ramps into the house with a rail and a single step at the front and back door. Once in the house it is all on the one level. The main bathroom shower and toilet have rails and the toilet is above standard height. There is a low step into both showers, both of which have handheld shower heads.

Due to the property not being fenced and the number of birds and wildlife (kangaroos, frogs and rabbits) on the property and a neighbouring property with chooks, ducks, geese and cats we are not pet friendly.

What to pack?

Think camping without a tent or sleeping bag - this is a rustic, off-grid experience after all! Bring clothes, toiletries, sunscreen & hat, insect repellent, drinks & whatever you’d like to throw on the barbie. Our minibar fridge is tiny so if you're planning on bringing lots of provisions it might be a good idea to bring an esky and some ice. There are USB outlets in the cabin only, so ensure you bring your USB cables if you wish to charge your phone.

What to expect?

Heyscape Tiny Cabins are not a luxury hotel. There’s no movies on demand, Wi-Fi or room service, and your nearest neighbours will be the local wildlife & critters. You will however have stunning views and nature at your fingertips. We’ve tried to make it as comfortable as possible without losing that earthy vibe.

COVID-19

We’ve upgraded our cleaning services in line with current recommendations but we do ask that if you have been in contact with a confirmed case within 14 days of your arrival date you contact us immediately. We all need to stay safe and look out for each other!

Parking is close to the cabin, but please stick to the parking area and designated tracks so we can keep the landscape looking beautiful.

Check-in is any time after 3pm and check-out is before 11am.
You can self check-in / check-out so relax and enjoy your stay.

If you are looking for vast open spaces, fields expanding as far as the eye can see over the horizon then you’ve found it!

We have sprinkled our cabins on over 2000 hectares of farm land. To put things in context, this farm is bigger than some countries… Fact! You could actually fit in 10 x Monaco + the Vatican city and still have room for our cabins :).

The property is an active farm with sheep grazing and cultures. Located on the side of Nomans Lake in the heart of the Wheatbelt it is truly miles away from the stress and clutter of city life.

Take in a bush walk, check out the sheep or wander around the farm… At night, if the sky is clear make sure to look up and enjoy our milky way. One big advantage from being so far from a big city is that the light pollution is very minimum, helping to reveal to our eyes a couple million stars. But as always and most importantly, relax!

If you’re looking for something more to do, the Yilliminning Rock Reserve (on the way to Narrogin) is a must see (great vistas on an interesting geological structure), then carry on to Narrogin for a meal and head back the long way around for a chance to grasp the immenseness of the Wheatbelt.
