Converted from an old milking station, The Lodge is a 2 bedroom house with adorable rustic charm and has the ability to sleep 6 people. You will find everything you need for your stay as the house is well equipped and perfect for couples and families.

The space
Whether you prefer to curl up in front of the indoor fire or relax in the bathtub, this home is yours to enjoy. Or perhaps you would prefer to have a nap in the outdoor hammock, while watching the wallabies and absorbing the beauty of one of our ancient fig trees. The choice is yours...

However, the best part of this property is outdoors! There are many beautiful walking trails to explore and areas to enjoy right outside your front door. The waterfalls are only a short walk down the hill and are really beautiful. There is a picnic area right next to the falls, so it’s a great place to spend a tranquil afternoon, or you could spend time in the vegie garden as you are welcome to eat what you find!! And remember to look out for our local animals who frequent this area including, Wallabies who love to graze right on the front lawn, Echidnas, Lace Monitors, Black Cockatoos and more.

The Lodge can sleep 6 guests and has a master bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed for the first 2 guests. If you are wanting 3 to 4 guests, there is a second bedroom with 2 single beds, however if you prefer to have these beds pushed together we can make them into a queen bed for you on request. And the futon in the lounge room can be made up to sleep guests 5 and 6. There is also a cot for you little bundle of joy! All linen and extra blankets provided.

The kitchen comes with a breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, sink, kettle, toaster, crockery and cooking utensils. Tea and coffee is available for your use. A highchair is available for you also.

The indoor dining area is light filled and provides a lovely view into the front gardens. There is a back patio dining area, where you can enjoy dinner by the fire pit, and a small seating area out the front, a great spot for your morning coffee.

The bathroom is spacious and lovely with a good sized tub, perfect for a long luxury soak. Bath salts, along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soaps have been provided for your enjoyment.

Lounge area has a smart television and DVD player, with some DVD's and board games provided for your entertainment. Please note, this is a rural property and free to air channel access is often limited.

Wifi is available with a strong signal. Phone service for Telstra is strong. Other providers may have limited coverage due to the rural location.

Air-conditioning is located in the master bedroom, which cools the other areas of the house. There is also a dehumidifier and fans for the warmer months.

For indoor fire place and the outdoor pit, firewood can be arranged for your use at an extra cost.

Washing machine available and is located on the back deck.

Filtered rain water is used throughout the home and is of an excellent quality for drinking and bathing.

Undercover parking is available for 1 car, approximately 50 meters from the lodge. Lodge rd is a dirt road, but it is currently in great condition and suitable for any car to drive on.

Please be aware of native creatures while on the property. There is an abundance of wildlife and you may encounter kangaroos, echidnas, sugar gliders, lace monitors, snakes, dingoes, ticks or leeches. It is recommended you wear boots when exploring the grounds.

Please note, due to the constant maintenance of such a large and beautiful property, the lawns are mowed on Wednesdays. If you are staying during the week and would like the gardener to stay away from the Lodge area when mowing, please let me know and we shall endeavor to accommodate this request as best we can.

Self check-in is available for ease of arrival.

Friday and Saturday nights require a two night minimum to book. Weeknights can be booked for 1 night only. Maximum stays are 28 nights.

Guest access
As you are renting the whole house, you have access to all living areas, front and back yard and driveway. The grounds are shared with a local resident and other Airbnb guests, which may be staying in The Cottage nearby.

Other things to note
Our check in time is 2pm and check out is 10am, unless otherwise arranged in advance. If you require a late check out, please advise this at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply.

We have a self check-in and check-out feature which is operated through the AirBnB website. Please check your app messages for all communications.

Please leave the house as you generally found it. Please remember to take all your belongings and any food (opened or unopened).

HOUSE GUIDELINES

- Please remember we have a strictly NO SMOKING INSIDE policy. Smoking outside is permitted.

- Only registered guests are allowed to stay the night. Parties are not permitted.

- Do not engage in any illegal activities while staying at this property.

- Guests are liable for any damages to the property.

- Please respect our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Any after hours noise complaints will be referred to the local authorities.

- Pets allowed. Please remember to keep them close to the house and do not let them roam free around the grounds as we are in an area that is full with native wildlife and we want to protect them. Please also keep pets off the furniture, including couches and beds. Please bring your own pet bedding and bowls.

- Lost keys are to be reported as soon as possible and a replacement fee will be charged at $50 per key.

- Bed and Bath linens are provided for your use. For stays longer than 14 days, all linens must be changes every 14 days at a minimum and access to the property is essential every 14 days.

- Soaps have been provided to use and enjoy for the duration of your stay. They are filled with high quality, Australian products. Please do not remove bottles from the premises.

Please note to stay on the roads and gravel track while on the property. If you drive on the grass area and become bogged there is $150 call out fee plus $50 per hour after the first hour, to have your vehicle towed out of the bog area.

The cottage has own private out look away from main house. It does not have heating or stove . There are ceiling fans in bedrooms and living area . There is no internet access in cottage however you can get access if needed close to main house. You may get mobile reception depending on your provider. For dinning A barbaque is provided for alfresco eating and a microwave and airfryer.

Your privacy is important to us as is other guest that may be staying in our other holiday accomadation that is a distance from cottage . Although you may explore property at your leisure please respect other guest during your stay. Please be aware we do have wild life . If you choose to go into the bush areas wear closed in shoes as there may be snakes. We do have 20acres of cleared gardens to admire.

please be aware our property is remote our access rd is graded for about 1.5 klm with a course way to go over . We have a slightly steep driveway to go up to access cottage its about 100mtres . I get around ok in my little car however occasionly the causeway may flood after a couple of days of heavy consistent rain. I will inform you if this is expected.

Prearranged Activities

- Interaction with the horses (not riding) is available with prior notice
- Horse stable and yard accommodation is available and free for stay. We ask guests to be responsible for their horses' droppings as the hosts are not responsible for their horses' care. As an added note, there will be no riding on the property

The Cottage is a 1 bedroom, almost tiny house which is fresh and quirky with retro styling. You will find everything you need for your stay as this little cottage is well equipped and perfect for, singles couples and romantic getaways.

The space
Even though the cottage is awesome, the best part of this property is outdoors! There are many beautiful walking trails to explore and areas to enjoy right outside your front door. The waterfalls are only a short walk down the hill and are really beautiful. There is a picnic area right next to the falls, so it’s a great place to spend a tranquil afternoon. And remember to look out for our local animals who frequent this area including, Wallabies who love to graze right on the front lawn, Echidnas, Lace Monitors, Black Cockatoos and more.

The Cottage can sleep 2 guests and has a master bedroom with a double bed. All linens and extra blankets are provided.

The kitchenette is small but it contains everything you need for easy home cooking and comes with a mini fridge/freezer, double bench top cook top, sink, kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery and cooking utensils. Tea and coffee is available for your use.

There is an indoor dining table, perfect for a romantic meal and a spacious lounge room area with a TV and DVD player, with some DVD's and board games provided for your entertainment. Please note, this is a rural property and free to air channel access is often limited.

The bathroom is spacious and lovely with a good sized shower, perfect for a long luxury soak. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soaps have been provided for your enjoyment.

A small outdoor fire pit is provided for your use. Firewood can be purchased at the property during your stay. please contact your host to arrange as required.

Wifi is available. Phone service for Telstra is strong. Other providers may have limited coverage due to the rural location.

Filtered rain water is used throughout the home and is of an excellent quality for drinking and bathing.

Undercover parking is available for 1 car.

Please be aware of native creatures while on the property. There is an abundance of wildlife and you may encounter kangaroos, echidnas, sugar gliders, lace monitors, snakes, dingoes, ticks or leeches. It is recommended you wear boots when exploring the grounds.

Please note, due to the constant maintenance of such a large and beautiful property, the lawns are mowed on Wednesdays. If you are staying during the week and would like the gardener to stay away from the Lodge area when mowing, please let me know and we shall endeavour to accommodate this request as best we can.

Self check-in is available for ease of arrival.

Friday and Saturday nights require a two night minimum to book. Weeknights can be booked for 1 night only. Maximum stays are 28 nights.

As you are renting the whole house, you have access to all living areas, front and back yard and driveway. The grounds are shared with a local resident and other Airbnb guests, which may be staying in The Logde nearby.

Bed and Bath linens are provided for your use. For stays longer than 14 days, all linens must be changes every 14 days at a minimum and access to the property is essential every 14 days.

Soaps have been provided to use and enjoy for the duration of your stay. They are filled with high quality, Australian products. Please do not remove bottles from the premises.

Please note to stay on the roads and gravel track while on the property. If you drive on the grass area and become bogged there is $150 call out fee plus $50 per hour after the first hour, to have your vehicle towed out of the bog area.

Kyogle is well worth a visit as it has maintained the character of its main street and hidden behind the beautiful façades is a plethora of shops, including an IGA supermarket, local butcher, café’s, an art gallery, local cinema, coffee shops and hotels all of which offer the visitor a uniquely Australian rural experience.
Called the Gateway to the Rainforests, Kyogle is by the meandering Richmond River at the base of Fairy Mountain in the Lismore Region. From here you can explore nearby World Heritage-listed national parks, spectacular lookouts, picnic areas and scenic drives to beautiful villages.
Byron Bay is 102 km from the property, The Gold Coast 132 km, and Brisbane just 175 km.

Get away from it all and relax in a beautiful off-grid Eco Cottage on 38 acres. Experience the peace and beauty of a unique and ecologically sustainable Australian sub-tropical bush environment. The property is Land for Wildlife and located in a koala habitat corridor.

Two distinct cottages make up the one residence at 'Uralba Eco Cottages'. One is occupied by your hosts, the other 'Kookaburra Cottage'. Both are separated by a breezeway, but each living space is designed to ensure the total privacy of its occupants.

With separate car parking and a disability access ramp, Kookaburra Cottage comprises one bedroom with queen bed, private bathroom, open-plan living area with lounge, dining area, and a large private verandah overlooking beautiful gardens. The verandah has its own vertical garden room and water feature.

The property is self-catering; with private BBQ, gas oven and stove, fridge and kitchenette stocked with everything you will need such as crockery, cutlery, locally sourced tea and coffee etc. (Please note there is NO microwave). Organic towels and pillows, luxury linen and environmentally friendly bathroom supplies are provided, along with many added extras to make your stay with us all that more comfortable.

The cottages run on 240v solar power entirely off-grid. Hot water comes from a separate solar system. There is a back-up generator and LPG gas instantaneous hot water system (if needed). Filtered rainwater is gravity-fed to the cottages. Our Worm Waste Management system provides an environmentally sustainable solution for wastewater, sewerage and organic waste.

The buildings were designed to maximise airflow and comfort while reducing the carbon footprint. Much of the timber used in construction of the cottages has been sourced directly from the property and/or recycled materials. We use renewable and recyclable products where possible, provide recycling bins and compost all food waste on site. The garden’s general design principles are based on permaculture and agroforestry and the whole property is organic (chemical free).

There are plenty of things to do at Uralba. Relax on one of the comfy couches or in the hammock with a book, why not play a board game in the garden or become creative with some artwork? Enjoy the birds (over 100 documented species), butterflies, frogs and a variety of native animals such as wallabies, koalas and goannas.

Wander freely around the properly and taste tropical fruit, nuts and Australian bush-tucker foods or forage through the herb and vegetable gardens. There is a new exclusive organic herb garden for our guests.

You can take in beautiful views of World Heritage listed Border Ranges which can be seen on various walks (designed for all fitness levels). More energetic guests might like to take a guided walk to the rainforest/creek in the gully and enjoy the serenity of the sub-tropical rainforest canopy.

The Space:
The Cottage is a recently built, sweet and light-filled space, perfect for couples looking for a peaceful getaway or a small family wanting to experience the country life. This 2 bedroom retreat has got everything you need – comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living space that feels just like home. We’ve made sure that while you’ll enjoy all the comforts you’d expect from a 5-star stay, we’ve kept it simple and down-to-earth – no fuss, just relaxation.

The kitchen is stocked with quality appliances, including an espresso machine for your morning pick-me-up, a dishwasher to make clean-up a breeze, and an air fryer for easy, delicious meals. Whether you’re whipping up a simple breakfast or cooking a special dinner, you’ll have all the tools you need. Plus, with reverse cycle air conditioning, you’ll stay comfy no matter the season – keeping things cool in summer and cozy in winter.

On our 50-acre property, you’ll meet our beloved Belted Galloway cattle, cheeky chickens, curious sheep, and the loveable Mr Darcy, the farm pig. Your four-legged companions are always welcome here too, and they’ll love exploring the farm as much as our farm dogs do. Just a heads-up – there’s a small pet fee, which can be paid at booking or on arrival.

Guest Access:
Feel free to bunker down in The Cottage for the duration of your stay and enjoy the peace and quiet, or explore the farm at your leisure. There’s plenty to discover, including the Bales Bar, our communal hangout spot. It’s a great place to toss a dart or get a bit creative with the wood-fired pizza oven. If you'd prefer some privacy, just ask – we can arrange exclusive use of the space for your group.

For the best views, take a wander to the top of the ridge. There’s a picnic table up there where you can kick back and watch the sun dip behind the Border Ranges.

Just a gentle reminder – please respect the privacy of the main homestead and avoid the pool unless we’ve made arrangements in advance.

The Neighborhood:
Homeleigh is as quiet and peaceful as it gets. Our farm is just 10 minutes from Kyogle, a tiny country town that moves at its own pace and is vibrant in a small country town way. The surrounds are made up of small farms and beautiful scenery, with the Border Ranges in the distance. It’s a peaceful spot where you can really reconnect with nature, whether you’re hiking, cycling, or just enjoying the wide-open spaces as you explore.

Kyogle has everything you need for a low-key day out: cute cafes, local shops, artisans and crafts, and a couple of country pubs where you can enjoy a cold drink after a day of exploring. If you want to go a bit further, Nimbin’s quirky vibe is just a short drive away, and Lismore offers arts, culture, and a good mix of local happenings. Byron Bay is a little over an hour away if you fancy some beach time.

Getting Around:
Kyogle’s a small town, so a car is the easiest way to get around. If you need a ride, Kyogle has a local taxi service – we’ve got the details here in The Cottage for you. Public buses can take you to nearby towns, and there’s a train to Brisbane once a day, though you’ll want to check the timetable in advance.

Come unwind in a peaceful and private setting on 16 level acres. Relax by the magnesium pool during the day (hardwood decking construction will be complete in August) and warmup around the fire pit at night. Enjoy a glass of red by the wood-burning fireplace in the living room or cook up a storm in the huge, well equipped kitchen with Global knives or make cocktails with plenty of ice via the automatic LG refrigerator.
For those who love to cook low and slow, there is an offset wood smoker on one of the two, covered verandas.

If you love sunshine, you can follow your sun patch from dawn to dusk, with multiple seating and dining areas around the house yard, the pool deck and the two covered verandahs. Please note that the Pool Deck will be completed in early August. The pool can be heated upon request. It is a brand-new magnesium/not chlorinated pool.

Dog and horse friendly. No cats, please.

There are a variety of fruit and citrus to choose for your breakfast or tea. For coffee lovers, there is a DeLonghi espresso machine and coffee grinder. Basic pantry items including coffee beans are supplied.

If you’re a movie-buff, there is a 65 inch LG OLED, G4 TV with the corresponding LG sound bar. Wi-Fi over Starlink offers excellent download and upload rates.

Please note that in September, one of the couches in the living room will be replaced with a King Living, *Delta Coast lounge that easily converts into a bed (refer photos).

Also arriving in September, is a King Living, Riogrande sofa bed.

Larger parties (greater than 6 people but no more than 12) can be accommodated at an additional $60 per person/per night and a slightly higher cleaning charge for extra linens.
