Instead an electrical heater was provided, but it had no feet/stand and was dangerous to use. Curtain blinders in need of repair too and one window was broken/could not open. This can easily be fixed - a matter of attention. As for the spa, which comes against a separate fee - a general challenge is the penetrating smell of cows from the still active farm. The spa/hotel should perhaps consider covering their liquid organic manure cistern to remedy the smell-issue. Except for these issues, we indeed had a pleasant stay."

In spring 2017, the floor in the bedrooms and conservatory was laid out with Mammut planks. This is hygienic and beautiful. For the children there is a trampoline. The 12 km long Mellbystrand is only 5 minutes away. Within 10 minutes there is a summer toboggan run, bungee and an action cable car. For mountain bikers there are perfect routes. There are perfect hiking trails on the bear peninsula.
New for the vacationers 2020: the conservatory is finished with new seating and table. The wooden terrace will be enlarged to better enjoy the new lounge furniture. Furthermore, in the kitchen and in the living room, the floor with Mammut planks was renewed and replaced the seating area in the kitchen. The final cleaning can be booked for 80, - Euro.

Offered here is a magnificent facility with its own sauna, which consists of three buildings. This house is mainly used privately by the owner. This is particularly noticeable in the high-quality equipment.
The main house has a kitchen, living room, dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
In the belonging to the complex guest house there are another two beds, a small living room (with another possible bed) and a bathroom.
In the third building is the sauna with four moorings. In addition, a carport and other storage rooms are available.

The rental price includes all utilities (water, firewood and electricity). With the use of the sauna, an additional fee of 5 Euro will be charged per sauna visit, which must be paid locally.

This house is basically offered without final cleaning. On request, the final cleaning can be organized on an individual basis for an additional fee of 100 EUR. However, there is no guarantee for that.
Guests are therefore asked to leave the house as they found it. Bed linen and towels are available in sufficient numbers and can be used free of charge. On departure these should be washed. If the time on departure is not sufficient, the laundry should be stored in front of the washing machine. The new tenant is then responsible for the laundry.

Another house with 4 beds is located 300 meters away. A booking of both houses is recommended when a larger family travel or two families want to go on holiday together.

It has a beautiful view and it is really nice equipped - so you won’t miss anything. We went skeeing at Vallåsen - only a 12 minutes ride from the house. Across the street is a pasture of cows and the view extends over the valley of patchwork farm land. Very peaceful and quiet with neighbors near enough so as not to feel isolated but far enough away to ensure total privacy. The house is well appointed in terms of kitchen items and dishwasher; bedding, linens, and clothes washer; cleaning supplies; and furniture both indoor and out. In fact there is ample outdoor seating in different parts of the porch and patio to accommodate the time of day and sunshine. Though the clothes washer doubles as a dryer, one should expect to hang damp clothes on the line outside to dry fully even after using the dry cycle. Empty closets and drawers are available for guests' use. The house was well cleaned including the bathrooms and kitchens. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars on cleanliness is that it could have used a more thorough dusting before we arrived (under beds and sofas, in corners and on window sills). But the outstanding nature of the house, the setting, and Markus the owner more than compensated for a few dust bunnies. We will absolutely and eagerly be returning to this home again! The next supermarket (Willy's) is 12 minutes with the car. A nice beach with a playground for the kids is in Bastad (Mellanvägen). We did some hiking in the nature reserves, visited two elk parks (Smålandet Markaryds Älgsafari and Elinge Älgpark) and made a canoe tour. There are lots of possibilities. The contact with the owner was easy. We just called him and he helped us immediately (we needed an extra chair for our small daughter). Even the upfront communication was great. Some days after our arrival, he arrived too in his other house. We joint him for a visit of the other house and it was great. The biggest event for my son was, when he was allowed to climb together on a (flat) roof which was renewed at the time. Summary: a nice house with lots of opportunities in the surroundings and a great host who was very child friendly. In our case, we had three very relaxed weeks."

The owner offers a round of firewood. Quite close you can see a natural small lake which is popular for waterfowl. Here you really enjoy the silence and proximity to fantastic nature. The morning coffee and the warm summer evenings are unbeatable. The surrounding forest offers fine mushroom spots and berry fields and many nice places to visit and nature experiences. Hjörnered with the beautiful Hjörnered lakes is a popular outdoor area. Here you can hike, swim and canoe (available for rent). Or why not just a lovely barbecue evening by the beach. Flammafallet is a popular excursion destination in Krokån. Foaming, the golden-brown water plunges down meter-high ledges. There is also a popular outdoor bath here. Very close by is Vippentorpet, a high-loft cottage from the end of the 17th century. It is only 5 km to Knäred, here you will find all the services you need. It is only about 12 km to Laholm. A house with an absolutely magical location right at the mouth of Lagan in Laholm. You have a magnificent view of Lagans wide, unique water outlet, called Lagaoset. The house is high above the beach. The path takes you to the jetty on the reed-covered beach. Both canoe and boat are available here for both enjoyment and fishing trips. A short walk takes you to the shallow beautiful beach and the nature reserve. A spacious house that is excellent for several families or larger groups. From the entrance in the small hall you come to the open and well-equipped kitchen and living room with dining area, comfortable seating and a wood-burning stove. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with two single beds and another living room with a sofa bed and a modern Apple TV. Free wifi in the house. For fishing enthusiasts, there are fishing opportunities in Lake Mästocka (no fishing license required) and in the River Lagan. A small rowing boat is available for free use on Lake Mästocka.

On the wonderful large terrace you can sit in the middle of nature and often hear deer and elk roaming through the thickets in the adjacent forest. A large kettle grill invites you to grill.

Outside the farm boundary runs the Skåneleden and just 3 km away you will find the famous Åstarpe Mosse nature reserve.
