Here you can fish for crabs, see when the day's catch from the big fishing boats arrives or read a good book on the rocks and enjoy the tranquility. Because it is already on the ferry which takes about 15 minutes. The cottage is airy with a cozy loft, each with a single bed. If you want, you can easily put these together into a cozy double bed. Welcome to a charming red cottage on the island of Öckerö, one of the West Coast's most beautiful islands in Gothenburg's lovely archipelago! Here you have a perfect starting point for visiting Hönö, Fotö, Vinga Lighthouse and several other incredible places. The cottage consists of a newly renovated part (2023) where the kitchen, family room, bathroom and sleeping alcove are located. Via the entrance there is direct access to the kitchen and living room where there is an armchair that can be converted into an additional bed (slightly smaller than standard dimensions) for one person. The sleeping alcove has a double bed (160cm) and there is a curtain if you want to screen it off. Toilet with shower and washing machine. Remember to use the hot water sparingly as the space in the water heater is limited. At the other end of the cabin there is an annex with a single bed (90cm). Entrance from outside. The cottage with annex is on the same plot as the owners' residence. Not far from the house are Öckerö's center, Hjälvik's and Hummerviken's bathing spots, both well-visited and popular. You will have a wonderful stay among small shops, restaurants and fishing boats. With close proximity to the beautiful nature of the island with donut stands within easy reach, you can really find peace here. A stone's throw away is the ICA store, system company and the lovely harbor with its pleasant café and their fantastic prawn sandwiches. The house is located near the ferries so you can travel to different islands in our beautiful archipelago for free. It’s just a short walk to the bus if you would like to visit the center of Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city. It only takes 25 minutes.
