We had dinner in the restaurant that didn't disappoint, great food. My wife made us of the spa and enjoyed it a lot, I personally found it a bit too costly for the slot-time we were able to get. - "Staff were exceptional throughout but particularly at Reception. A credit to the hotel and to Sweden. It's a nice hotel in good location and the breakfast is a superb. The common areas are really nice and relaxing. The downside is that the pool is part of the Spa and can not be used by "ordinary" guests. If you don't want the full Spa treatment you can't take a dip. The Classic Double that I stayed in had a large window into a closed courtyard facing other rooms with similarly large windows. There was no privacy and all of these rooms seemed to keep the curtains closed all day. I didn't spent a lot of the day in the room but that's a poor design."

All in all highly recommended for some quiet and relaxing days."

A cozy holiday home with a lovely summer feeling with the sea just around the corner. The coastal strip offers nice salt-sprinkled walking and cycling paths. Only a short walk away is the fine bathing beach, which offers both sandy beach and rock bathing. The spacious plot has several terraces and views of the sea. From the entrance on the short side of the cottage you enter the hall. There is a bathroom with shower, a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed and a bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen is quite small but well equipped with a dining area. The spacious living room has a corner sofa and a dining table as well as a TV. From here there is an exit to two terraces. The large terrace is partially covered. There is garden furniture and a barbecue here. The Årnäshalvön has a lot to discover both on foot and by bike. Small marinas, nature reserves, bathing coves and cafes and restaurants. Varberg is a summer town with a throng of people, restaurants, cafés and dance halls, everything that belongs to a summer town. The massive Varberg Fortress guards the entrance to the harbor and can be seen from afar. Take a tour down into the bastions and casemates, accompanied from the 13th century to our own time. Just outside Varberg is Getterön, one of Sweden's most famous birding areas. There are also exhibitions, a shop and a café here. Bring your swimwear because there are nice beaches on Getterön. Another nice excursion destination is the Åkulla beech forests and for those of you who are technically interested, it is not far to the world heritage site Grimeton. Also visit the large shopping area GEKÅS in Ullared. For those interested in golf, there are several fine golf courses nearby, the closest is Klosterfjordens Gk.
