This sensitively restored Victorian house is set in 5 acres of gardens and woodland, with stunning views over Carmarthen Bay and beyond to North Devon. This charming country retreat is located on the outskirts of the historic town of Laugharne, famous for its castle and more recently, for Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, who did much of his writing in the boathouse there. Broadway Country House is located between Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. All the wonders of West Wales are on the doorstep, including Pembrokeshire National Park, local theme parks, picturesque beaches, rugged countryside and Pendine Sands, famous as the home of many attempts on the world land-speed record. Originally built 300 years ago, the hotel was extended in 1914, with a new West wing and the Orangery added. Today, the house offers 9 rooms with attached bathroom, the majority with sea views. The cottage is to be found just off the central square in Laugharne. It is close to the shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, yet offers a good degree of privacy, being at the end of a private pathway of similar properties. It is within a short walk of the foreshore and castle.

The accommodation is very well presented with quality furnishings. The well-equipped kitchen diner includes a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer plus all the usual kitchen accessories. The dining table comfortably seats six people.

The kitchen offers a lovely dining space with a large table and comfortable seating for 12. The cupboards are well stocked to cater for all family needs. A well stocked kitchen with two ovens is ideal for larger groups. There is a small selection of board games for sitting around the table and entertaining the children. There is an additional fully equipped kitchen in the annexe, perfect for those early risers or those with small children.

The large living room, which has direct access to a patio area, is light and airy with ample space and seating. With two sofas and two armchairs, and a large Smart TV, the space is perfect for family film nights. There is also a small open plan living area in the annexe with comfortable seating and TV.

The main bungalow has 4 bedrooms including a master king with en suite shower room. Further bedrooms offer 1 double bed, a twin bedroom and one bedroom with single bed and pull out trundle that can be popped up on legs. There is a lovely outdoor patio with seating, and additional beautiful mature gardens to play in. There is a fully enclosed area at the back of the main kitchen but the other areas have open access to the drive and are not fully enclosed. Plenty of parking right outside the bungalow with enough space for 5 cars.

We wished we had found this earlier in our stay, take away and eat in (bring your own alcoholic drinks) the food was delicious. We found Amroth beach to be absolutely ideal for us. Free parking right on the sea wall in front of the year round dog friendly section, acres of sand, safe water to paddle board and toilets nearby. We spent 3 full days on the beach and had such a good time, it was just 25 mins car trip and well worth it. We would recommend Round Park to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and as a good base to explore the area."

The space is bright, and has french doors leading to the garden, as well as access to the conservatory. The kitchen is well equipped, with all mod cons and a range style electric oven, larder fridge and dishwasher. There is a gorgeous Sun room with breathtaking views of the Taf Estuary, perfect for a Summer evening watching. Lloret is a delightful 3 bedroom detached bungalow centrally located in an elevated position to take advantage of the estuary views, and a short downhill walk into the town with its shops, restaurants and pubs. Laugharne is famous for its castle and the home of the poet Dylan Thomas. A quality property ideal for a small family.

Enter the property at the rear into the porch area which leads into a modern open plan kitchen, dining area seating six guests and living room. The kitchen is well equipped, with electric range style oven, dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge. There is a patio area surrounding the outside of the property with seating at the front of the property to soak up the sun and views, this area also contains the 4 person hot tub. At the rear side of the property there is also a raised lawned area via steps with seating. There is private parking for two cars on the driveway.

Other things to note

- The hot tub takes 12 hours to fully heat - it might not be up to its desired temperature on your first night during peak summer times due to same day changeovers and refill of tub on the same day
- Pet fee per stay - 1 Dog - £25. Further pets considered upon prior request
- Limited phone service for Vodafone and O2 within the Laugharne area

One other thing as it took us over four hours to get from the Midlands we didn’t have a problem getting in at 4pm but we all thought to make sure we were packed and left the house as we found it 10am check out is a little early we didn’t even have time for breakfast before our long journey 12pm would have been more convenient and less stressful "
