This sensitively restored Victorian house is set in 5 acres of gardens and woodland, with stunning views over Carmarthen Bay and beyond to North Devon. This charming country retreat is located on the outskirts of the historic town of Laugharne, famous for its castle and more recently, for Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, who did much of his writing in the boathouse there. Broadway Country House is located between Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. All the wonders of West Wales are on the doorstep, including Pembrokeshire National Park, local theme parks, picturesque beaches, rugged countryside and Pendine Sands, famous as the home of many attempts on the world land-speed record. Originally built 300 years ago, the hotel was extended in 1914, with a new West wing and the Orangery added. Today, the house offers 9 rooms with attached bathroom, the majority with sea views. The cottage is to be found just off the central square in Laugharne. It is close to the shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, yet offers a good degree of privacy, being at the end of a private pathway of similar properties. It is within a short walk of the foreshore and castle.

The kitchen offers a lovely dining space with a large table and comfortable seating for 12. The cupboards are well stocked to cater for all family needs. A well stocked kitchen with two ovens is ideal for larger groups. There is a small selection of board games for sitting around the table and entertaining the children. There is an additional fully equipped kitchen in the annexe, perfect for those early risers or those with small children.

The large living room, which has direct access to a patio area, is light and airy with ample space and seating. With two sofas and two armchairs, and a large Smart TV, the space is perfect for family film nights. There is also a small open plan living area in the annexe with comfortable seating and TV.

The main bungalow has 4 bedrooms including a master king with en suite shower room. Further bedrooms offer 1 double bed, a twin bedroom and one bedroom with single bed and pull out trundle that can be popped up on legs. There is a fully enclosed area at the back of the main kitchen but the other areas have open access to the drive and are not fully enclosed. Plenty of parking right outside the bungalow with enough space for 5 cars.

We wished we had found this earlier in our stay, take away and eat in (bring your own alcoholic drinks) the food was delicious. We found Amroth beach to be absolutely ideal for us. Free parking right on the sea wall in front of the year round dog friendly section, acres of sand, safe water to paddle board and toilets nearby. We spent 3 full days on the beach and had such a good time, it was just 25 mins car trip and well worth it. We would recommend Round Park to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and as a good base to explore the area."

The kitchen is well equipped, with all mod cons and a range style electric oven, larder fridge and dishwasher. There is a gorgeous Sun room with breathtaking views of the Taf Estuary, perfect for a Summer evening watching. Lloret is a delightful 3 bedroom detached bungalow centrally located in an elevated position to take advantage of the estuary views, and a short downhill walk into the town with its shops, restaurants and pubs. Laugharne is famous for its castle and the home of the poet Dylan Thomas. A quality property ideal for a small family.

Enter the property at the rear into the porch area which leads into a modern open plan kitchen, dining area seating six guests and living room. This beautifully refurbished bungalow which sleeps 6, has oak flooring throughout and sits on a hilltop in the historic town of Laugharne with stunning estuary views - you don't want to miss this view!

Enter into the spacious hallway where you can gain access to all the rooms the property has to offer. The first room to your left is the large reception with an oversized window with spectacular views of the estuary. The reception has a large Smart TV and DVD player, and a good selection of family games. There are french doors leading outside to the side patio area. The next room to your left off the hallway is the modern open plan kitchen diner which is well equipped, with electric range style oven, dishwasher and large fridge and also benefits from french doors to the side garden. There is a handy spacious utility room off the kitchen, which has access to the outside, perfect for muddy boots and paws after a busy day exploring. Daffodil Cottage is a romantic retreat tucked away at the end of a small terrace of three cottages on a quiet lane near the centre of the village of Laugharne. It is just a stone’s throw from the 12th Century Castle and the Boathouse where Dylan Thomas famously wrote and read his work. This is a comfortable retreat for two (or three if you have a babe in arms). The cottage is compact but with everything you need including Wi-Fi. Downstairs offers space to relax (while still in company with the cook) and opens onto an enclosed patio with table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining.
Dylan Thomas Boathouse and Writing Shed has a long history associated with the water trade of the estuary but became famous as the home of Dylan Thomas from 1949 to 1953 - the last four years of his life. He worked in the boatshed, writing some of his most famous works there looking out over the water, and the influence of this ’heron priested shore’ is evident in his work.
Laugharne Castle is a ruin which dominates the town riverside. First built in the 11th Century as an earth and timber structure, it was built in stone in the 13th & 14th Centuries, turned into a Tudor mansion in the 16th and now for over 20 years has undergone painstaking archaeological investigation and restoration. The magnificent Georgian and Victorian gardens overlooking the river Taf were an inspiration to the two great modern writers, Richard Hughes and Dylan Thomas - in fact there is a turret room in the castle grounds which overlooks the estuary, laid out as Dylan Thomas used it. Our water is pure Welsh well water. The East facing patio has a canopy, lovely for a morning cuppa. The West facing patio is quite high up and has lovely views of The Laugharne valley. Both have outdoor seating. It is a sheltered quiet location - just birdsong. A lovely big walk in shower and Ikea king sized sofa bed. Dogs can walk free just 20 yards away. We are the last Township in the UK and have a very interesting history indeed. The garden is securly fenced. Treat your to a Spa Treatment at Dylans Resort, 8 mins. walk away.

You can park easily outside the cottage, for free, on our driveway, behind gates. Both Patios are very sunny. There are 3 woods to explore and fields of sheep, horses and foals to view. All very peaceful. Laugharne is very dog friendly. All cafes, pubs and restaurants welcome dogs. Laugharne is the last Township in the UK and a very interesting place to explore. All local beaches have Dog friendly areas, and all are friendly from 1st October to 31st May.

Upon entering the property, you find yourself in the hallway with the living area immediately on your right-hand side. You can snuggle up on the comfy sofas and unwind listening to some music, with the fire roaring in the background, or turn on the sky TV and watch a film.

Down the hallway you will find a large well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up a meal and gather around the table to eat while you reminisce about your adventures. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility room, with a washer/dryer, leading to the garden.

The former restaurant of renowned chef and gardener Nick Priestland which has also featured in the BAFTA award winning drama BBC's Keeping Faith! Hidden from the main street in Laugharne, behind its exotically landscaped grounds, is The Cors, a very special country house. Converted from an exquisite Victorian house, we have brought this building to life and created a charming blend of period pieces and modernist artworks. A bohemian bolt hole, one of the best - the 2-acre garden is a perfect retreat in the summer months. The artistic sensibility is visible in everything we do from the drama of the gardens to the quirky decoration of the house.

The Cors offers three large living areas where you can relax and unwind, listen to music on our smart multi-room Sonos speaker system, play with a range of board games, shoot some pool or watch a film in the newly appointed cinema room, again with Sky & Netflix on our 75inch TV with games console. If that doesn't interest you can always become a bartender for the evening and serve cocktails and drinks from behind the old bar. The large well stocked kitchen caters for your every need. With a newly installed oven and induction hob, and modern appliances with the traditional surroundings, what more could you want. There is comfortable dining for 10 people. Completing the ground floor is the utility room, a large space ideal for shoes, wellies, coats and empty luggage, housing the washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher. Also access to back staircase, and fire escape route.

Upstairs, there are three large double rooms with en-suite, modern bathrooms with walk-in showers, and a corner bath in one of the bedrooms. There is also a king and twin bedroom which has the use of the main bathroom on the 1st floor. Four of the five bedrooms are equipped with large Smart TV's with Sky and Netflix. All rooms reflect the elegant ‘shabby-chic’ style of the Cors Country House with with stunning garden views.

The garden is a perfect retreat for a sunny day, there is a range of seating available to chill out and soak up some sun or even have a BBQ Translated from Welsh The Cors means bog, which is what Nick Priestland had to work with when he created his beautiful landscaped garden set in a wooded valley bordering the Corran river. Consisting of approximately 2 and half acres, this well designed large bog garden has ponds, gunnera, bamboos and tree-ferns. It is an exceptional, elegant and artistic garden with unusual architectural and exotic planting, dotted with sculptures. Please be aware of the open ponds and river to the side of grounds as there are no railings.

The large private car park has enough space for at-least 8 cars.

Nicola is always on site to deal with the guest need ,also it is not the whole house that is available for booking, its more like a bed and breakfast, beautiful bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Country Kitchen , and gorgeous dining room. Guests have a choice of a beautiful sitting room with large smart TV or the use of the huge entertainment room with pool table, as teen and projector. There is also an artists studio that can also be used given prior arrangements. A wrap around enclosed garden with various seating areas, decking and mature planting completes the experience.
