In the heart of a charming village, pleasant house where we have tried, without denying its old side, to optimize its comfort.
On the ground floor, the kitchen, open to the living room, fitted with patinated wooden furniture, is equipped with a fan oven, a gas / electricity hob, a washing machine, washer-dryer, a blender and everything needed to ensure your daily life.
The living room, complete with a fireplace, has, among other things, a sofa bed, a flat-screen TV and a library full of books and guides about the region.
The upstairs bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed with quality mattresses from the Epeda-Multispire brand (bed linen not supplied). On the same level is the bathroom with bath and wc.
And, on the last level, the second bedroom on the mezzanine with a single bed (: bed linen not provided).

The village, meanwhile, is located at the entrance to the Var when you arrive from Aubagne,
Marseille is therefore not very far.
The crest road that runs along the seaside can be a very interesting car route if you go to the side of Cassis. Closer, one can enjoy all the seaside, the beaches of Saint Cyr, Bandol, Six-Fours, in Toulon and even beyond, of course towards Hyeres or Giens.
The house is 10 minutes by car from Bandol beach.
The route to get there, without taking the motorway, is very pleasant because the landscape looks like a Tuscan countryside.

The village, in itself, has a lot of charm, its old streets seem full of history. We almost immerse ourselves in a habitat of another age. In the morning, we go get our fresh bread, on foot, at the bakery, at noon, we can go take the Pastis at La Souco and after enjoying the beach, spend the evening reading or watching TV or, possibly, eat at one of the restaurants in the village (La Farigoule or Pied de Nez, for example) ...

- "We loved to be part of a beautiful unique village, not far from the sea and surprisingly well connected to other places through the very near but far enough away highway. Very charming house!" - "The house was a really great location for what we wanted. It is noisy outside and very very hot in the summer (think sleep naked and still sweaty). And no wifi. Worse, we had a lot difficulties with the property owner and caretaker. They just were unhelpful and rude with everything. First, the house was sorta clean but we found hair in sink drain and a pool of water next to bath. We actually showed the caretaker and she was like no big deal. We were also surprised that the beds were not made (we also had to pay for sheets and towels which we did). Apparently it was in the listing but we didn’t see. Our first real problem started with the parking. There is a parking card so you don’t have to pay for parking. But there three lots in Le Castellet and it was not specified which lot we were supposed to park in. As we attempted to use the card it was rejected and we had to pay for our parking. We called the owner who refused to have the property manager meet us there and actually told us to figure it out ourselves with the parking attendants and that we likely broke the card and would have to pay replace it. My wife was actually quite shaken and upset after getting off the phone because of the tone and aggression of the owner. We ended up having a neighbor help us that the manager had confirmed by email the wrong lot. We were so upset after not having been assisted and having been insulted that we called vrbo and we started to look for a different rental, but there was nothing available within the area so we decided to stay and thought the worst was behind us. All was fine until the check out. The day before, I emailed in the morning saying we’d like to leave at 10:30 and what to do with the key etc. No one responded so I called at 6:00 PM and was told the owner would call me be in 20 minutes. An hour later I called back and was told that I must’ve missed an email from the caretaker (I didn’t) and that I didn’t know how to use email and that she would be there at 10:45 to see what might be wrong with the house before check out. Once she arrived she said the house was dirty and we needed to pay more. After asking she told me the bathroom sink was dirty (it had the remains of soap) and we forgot to take out the small bathroom trash. I cleaned the soap from sink and threw out the trash and they still asked for us to pay more. I gave some more euros to end the situation. The caretaker then told me she didn’t clean just disinfects. Just don’t stay here."
