A peaceful location to get away from it all, yet only a couple of minutes' stroll into the centre of Lorgues with its famous market, shops & range of restaurants. If you prefer there is an overnight Motor rail service from Calais/Lille to Nice allowing you to bring your own car and let the train take the strain!

The property manager was very welcoming and gave us a good and detailed tour of the house and showed us how everything worked - this was extremely helpful. The house and its environment is perfect for a relaxing getaway - Total privacy, comfort and so well equipped that we didn't need or want for anything. To be honest, the weather was so perfect that we hardly spent any time in the house other than sleeping and for that, the beds were very comfortable. I cannot recommend this property highly enough - we will definitely be returning."

We tend to buy “La Rose Tremiere” – they have a roadside shop just a couple of kilometres from here, on the road into Lorgues.

This gîte is located just outside the picturesque village of Lorgues in the beautiful green department of the VAR, also called Provence verte. It's an ideal location because (to the South) you are at the most beautiful beaches of the Côte d'Azur within an hour and (to the North) you are at the impressive Gorges de Verdon (climbing, scrambling and rafting!), the European version of the Grand Canyon, around the same time. Around Lorgues, it will be hard to choose which village to visit, they are all equally beautiful! In any case, visiting the big market on Tuesdays in Lorgues is a must !

Visit the perched village of Tourtour, also known as the village in the sky. Have lunch in the charming village of Flayosc or the cave village of Villecroze and visit a tree-climbing park in Vidauban or Flassans-sur-Issole.
